And are you implying that is also the case the past 4 years Dalton has led them to the playoffs?

The Bengals made the playoffs 10 out of their first 42 years in existence with some good QBs...Ken Anderson, Boomer Esiason, Carson Palmer. They are about to make it 5 out of 5 with Dalton.

They have some impressive wins this year...@ Raiders, @ Ravens, @ Steelers, @ Bills (Miami has lost 2 games to) and beat the Seahwaks. Some tough games coming up @ Cardinals, @ Broncos, Rams, Steelers, Ravens (5 of their 6 losses by 6 points or less and the other loss by 8 points)...that isn't a cakewalk schedule. They'll have earned the right to be in the playoffs assuming they make it this year.

The year Miami made the playoffs they got to play a last-place schedule and had the luxury of having "4" teams travel from the West Coast (SD, Oak, Sea, SF) in which they won those home games by a combined 16 points. Not that I am complaining, I loved that year!

Dalton has led them to "3" 4th Qtr comeback wins & GWD in the first 8 games as well...Bal, Sea, Pitt...Tannehill has 5 in his career.

All 5 years now Dalton has at least "3" GWD...the difference between making the playoffs and not.

If we're going to talk about Dalton, then his playoff performances have to be included, and Dalton has been nothing short of pathetic in the playoffs, and has been a major reason for them losing, all the while being on a very talented team.

    55.7 comp%, 1 TD, 6 INTs, 5.5 ypa and a 57.8 passer rating.

Personally, I'd want nothing to do with Dalton, I think he's been a huge waste of time for the Bengals.

I think that is fair criticism.

Personally, I think he is playing at an elite level this year, but I wouldn't put him in the elite category unless he plays better in the playoffs.

I was just pointing out that THIS year the bengals have had one of the easiest schedules(per espn).

I felt that coming out of college Dalton was already better than Tannehill. Dalton was a QB his whole life. Tannehill was a QB for 2 years in college. People are forgetting that Tannehill is a long term project. Dalton was also a project, but at different things. Dalton already had what it takes to manage a game and get a well built team to the playoffs, which cincy has had for him. Cincy has always had an above average to great defense and has always had at least 1 and now 2 really really good RB's. Now this year the things Dalton has been working on have seemed to come together.

I thought I couldn't understand how someone could discard Wilson's success, but now Derek Carr and Tyrod Taylor too? Does everyone else get **** on because Tannehill isn't top 5?
