He and his buddy have made it clear how they feel about Suh in numerous other posts.

You asked for an example of someone requesting a Suh trade and you got it. Stop twisting and squirming. You've been nailed down.

So his thinking was just hypothetical that cutting the guys who make the most $$$ will give us cap space.. Ingenious. The fact that you have to defend it with this premise is sad. Finster would trade him tomorrow because he thinks he is overpaid and overrated .... That is his right. But to trade possibly your best player in his 1st year will have people pushing back on his post. I really don't think you even believe what you wrote in his defense

You're right.. dominance on the field gets you in the HoF. And essentially every half-knowledgeable observer of the NFL would agree Suh has either been THE most dominant DT the last 4-5 years or at worst one of the top 2-3 most dominant.

And let me just say it's not only implying Suh isn't dominant that destroys your credibility on this.. it's saying things like "it wasn't possible to move him with one man". Dude, EVERY great player on the defensive line (DT or DE) gets stuffed by a single blocker multiple times in his career. No player is always dominant.

You are right about Suh being a different type of DT than Sapp though. So? As you said, what matters is dominance and Suh has that.

These type of posters would be complaining about Sapp too if he were here and he didn't get a sack or TFL on every snap because he made too much money for their liking.

Suh was dominant that game and all we heard from Finster was about the one play where they ran his way and scored a TD. Suh had his man stood up and there were 2 LBers that had the opportunity to stuff the gap but didn't.

Appears his salary demands that he not only is the best player on the defense, which he is (along with the spectacular Rashad Jones), but that he performs the superhuman feat of never being beat on a play.

Wrong, lol, Suh is exactly the same type as Sapp, just not nearly as good, he's not the same type as Kennedy, that comparison was an example of someone who doesn't know the position.

Those 2 guys are the last 2 DTs since Randle to get in, DT is one of the hardest positions to get in the HoF, for those of you that aren't aware, lol.

Please provide specific posts with links, or a retraction, lol.

I don't claim to have much football knowledge, so the details of how the two are different or not I'll leave up to others. But I think you've shown with your comments you understand far less (or are just tremendously biased, which is enough in this argument).

Zach Thomas is one of my all time favorite Fins, 7 probowls and 5 all pros and he'll never make the HoF, except perhaps as an old timer, just being good isn't enough to make the HoF, you have to stand out as being great among the greats.

JT will get in, because he was dominant, a huge factor in every game, Suh is invisible at times, plain and simple, and he's not stout at the point of attack, and he's a DT, that's DT, lol, fanboys gonna hate.

BOLFR, you don't know, yet you're giving opinions on the stuff, and based on my comments, again which you don't know about, you've come to a conclusion, LOL, just holy freakin LOL.

Maybe you should just leave it to people like me who actually do know.

OK.. I'll leave it to you. According to you, Suh isn't a dominant DT. According to you, HoF defensive linesmen NEVER get blocked 1 on 1. And according to you, Suh has no realistic chance getting in the Hall of Fame. Never mind practically every half-knowledgeable football fan disagrees with the first two, and well known defensive minds like Rex Ryan have come out saying Suh is the closest thing to Sapp we have today.

Yeah.. I'll leave it to you (sarcasm definitely implied!)

Why is anyone wasting their time with this guy?

This is the same guy that said there are 4 TO 6 DTs better than Suh. Not players .... or linemen.... 4 to 6 Defensive tackles.... Lmfao. That is a quote. And then you ask him to name the '4 to 6 better DTs', which I did 3 or 4 times, and he just sits on his thumbs and refuses to answer. Yeah, that's some pool of knowledge. Pathetic.

Not sure what your issue is, but it sure is getting tiring.

you do understand it was a cap space thread right? hence the use of cap space in the title of it. Has he or anyone said to trade him outside of that premise?

I would not trade him, and I was all in on the signing.

Some people are saying don't sign Miller which I totally disagree with. However, I am not attacking them nor insulting them.

Did you read the thread or just the one post... I think I know the answer. I know what the thread was about, he wants Suh traded because he feels that Suh is over rated and overpaid. In other posts says that Suh is not a top 5 DT. Yet keep doing backflips to defend.
Outside of that premise, he says Suh sucks vs the run. Once again, more than his right to feel that way, not his right to be surprised by the backlash to that statement and others he has made... Sad part is in some other threads he is very knowledgeable and insightful.. Think he just likes the game he plays on these message boards

I've been trying to tell you guys, we have some really stupid fans when it comes to talent evaluation. I don't see the point in debating whether or not a guy like Suh is elite, when NFL players like Lane Johnson and many others say and know he is. I mean really, are you gonna trust the opinions of NFL players who consistently vote Suh in the top 100 list near the top, or are you gonna care about the opinions of Finster? I'll go with the NFL players, pretty sure they know more about football than the brilliant Finster lol.

I guess opinions vary on Suh, but I myself am ecstatic that we have him. He's just now entering his prime, and I think he's going to be incredibly dominant during these last seven weeks. We'll all be very happy with his production by seasons end.

I would second this except I think he's in his prime and will be declining by the end of his contract (if he's still a Dolphin). I think Miami grabbed him when his value was highest which sort of seems dumb from a business perspective but in terms of being happy he's a Dolphin, I agree 100%. His unquestionable talent is one of the lone bright spots on a once-great defense that is now in ruin. Until Miami acquired Suh, Reshad Jones was about all that was left from the top-10 defense Miami had constructed under Parcells/Ireland.

Nevertheless, rebuilding a unit with a great DT and a great SS is not a bad thing.

Have I mentioned Vic Fangio lately? :)

I think VF could do for the Dolphins what Quinn is doing for the Falcons, that is let the veteran QB do as best he can with the weapons he already has, rebuild the running game and be the architect of a project that rebuilds a once-respectable defense.

I am not doing backflips. I just think it is childish to attack someone because they are not fans of a certain player.

He gets push back for a lot more than his opinion on a player... We all have likes and dislikes. He likes to give a bit of attitude along with statements that he knows will get a response...which again is fine. The problem is that he can't pick and choose what kind of response he gets when he posts most of the time just to get a reaction... Can't have it both ways. Once again, I think he really enjoys the game he plays on here.

I never asked for anything, I simply stated points, and I don't post to get a reaction, I post my opinion, and it is offensive to people like yourself for some reason, perhaps the lack of knowledge/conviction in your own stance? who knows, but any attitude I post with is in defense of people like yourself that attack my opinions, and I do it while I'm laughing, I think most of it is pretty amusing.

Your posts are not offensive to me. Nice shot with the lack of knowledge/conviction. I have never attacked you, you seem to think a debate is an attack. I find it incredible that you can write such great posts sometimes(Rob Ryan).. Being articulate with well thought out points.. And then enter another thread saying Suh sucks vs the run and pat yourself on the back on your football knowledge. I could be wrong about your intentions.. I don't think so, but if I am, I apologize. Have you had a second to think why you feel like people attack you in every post.. Maybe take a look at what you post and the intent. No worries from me.. I will try in the future not to respond unkindly to you.. Or not respond at all.

For what's it's worth if we dropped the sarcasm and hyperbole no one would ever get offended.

Along those same lines, there's no way in the world you can post with sarcasm and not come off as disrespectful, rude and demeaning.

The second we rise above sarcasm and act like adults is the moment we we'll stop seeing all this nonsense about being personally offended.

While I don't always agree with your take on things, you always seem to be respectful and try to back up your thoughts with reasonable facts. I think the hyperbole you speak of is the main culprit of many reactionary posts... And then the silly back and forth. Sometimes I have to remind myself we are all Dolphin fans

Look, I don't really care what you or anybody else thinks, I'm comfortable in my own knowledge of the sport which I've been studying for many years, and yes you have attacked me on multiple occasions, but again I don't really care, I only brought it up because it was pertinent to the discussion.

I have never flagged any post on this site, I have never complained to the mods, and never will, it's a source of enjoyment for me, I think it's funny when posters call me an idiot, there are a great many posters on this site that I respect, there are a great many I do not, I go on this site to talk Miami Dolphins football because I live 1000 miles(not exaggerating) from Miami and there aren't many Fin fans here and I am a student of the game, following the sport is a passion for me, but too many people take it way too seriously.

I respect what Greg says about sarcasm, and he's right, but where I'm from it's just a form of comedy, and where I'm from if you take jabs at people expect them back and just roll with the punches.

See, it's stuff like this that makes me laugh, disingenuous much, lol, but like I said, I don't take affront, and I'm not trying to insult, I just think it's funny, and you may take it the wrong way, but I've spent too much time for too many years trying to put it in a "way" that is, well, I don't really know, I just know that it's a waste of my time to try and formulate a PC response.

You treat me with respect and I treat you with respect, it's just that simple, you get what you give, and I don't know if that's PC, but it's fair.
