We are *****ing about the heat's defense, but they are right back to #1 in Def. Eff. As of tonight.

Wonder how that will change giving up 109 points at home to the Kings without their best player??

Yes, I bet the Under. :pity:

Got out with a win. Damn did SAC shoot above their normal level. Wow. I thought Rondo looked good (18 assists), haven't seen him play in a while.

Spo's going to keep having these tricky dilemmas with Bosh and Whiteside in 4Qs. Tonight he sat Hassan vs SAC small-ball, but the Kings were just knocking stuff down. The Bosh-McBob frontcourt allowed a bit too much into the paint, imo, mostly on McBob.

Gerald Green...gonna need some time to get in the flow, it appears. That was kinda ugly. TJ was excellent. You knew Wade was going to have a big game. Big picture...This team just doesn't shoot well enough to sacrifice anything on defense; the best defensive groups should get the most burn, imo, and we can win that way.

If my brain weren't muddled by a daycare cold I'd figure out the odds of me only having watched 4 of the Heat's 11 games this year and all 4 of them being their only 4 losses.

Wade, Bosh, and Johnson looked great last night. Amare also finally looked good in his minutes - he was huge that first quarter.

I know you guys are going to have a negative reaction to this - but I truly mean it as a compliment -

The Golden State Warriors might be even more terrifying than the Heatles version of the Heat.

I'm coming up with all four of the Heat's eleven games you've watched being their four losses as having been 1.7% likely.

If they play a whole season like this that's hard to argue against. Still a lot of games though.

It's hard to stay as hot as they are, but if they somehow can, then you're absolutely right. A team like that is never out of a game and is almost impossible to defend. The problem is, all it takes is a cold shooting streak in the playoffs, and your season is over.

David Thorpe had some stat on the Lowe Post podcast that when Curry plays, 40% of their buckets are assisted and when he sits it drops to 20%.

I do wonder a bit if a team could find ways to shut down Curry and force Draymond and Klay to create. Not in any way saying those 2 (plus Iggy and Barnes) couldn't do it - just thinking that's probably the best bet.

Oh I agree. I have been saying it since last year. They are historically good. Just as good as the Heat were, and if you want to say that they are better after they win this year..then go ahead.

I would however give a nod to the 12-13' Heat, just because the best two players on the court for either team would have been Bron and Wade, and after Steph gets the #3 spot..Bosh is in at #4.

    Pels!!!

Went to the game. Always nice to beat a team from Texas with all their fans in the house. Ryan Anderson is on a tear. AD's stat line was insane yet again. Ish Smith for MVP. Wait till Tyreke comes back. I'm not giving up! 2-11 and soon to be 3-11!!!!

Kinda wish we were playing the Warriors this weekend, get a crack at ending this streak. I feel like we're one of the few teams in the League who can somewhat matchup/counter this small-ball super lineup they're killing people with (Steph-Klay-Iggy-Barnes-Draymond).

Knicks win again. PorzinGod 24 points 14 rebounds 7 blocks. Carried them tonight after the refs took melo out of the game with a bunch of tricky tack nonsense

Didn't happen. We actually have a damn good team, they just don't seem to realize they need to play four full quarters yet.

I get that gross feeling they will be shutdown any second and funds frozen ala "black friday" in Online Poker. (Finally got my $825 years later)

Yep it's real life. Last 20 year old to post 20 points 10 rebounds 7 blocks as a rookie? Shaq twice in 92 93.

Rookies that posted 20-10-7 over the last 20 years...
    Duncan
    Shaq
    Pau
    Odom
    Dean Garrett (Who? Lol)

What I really like is this kid is a student. You saw the hook shots, the other day he dropped a dream shake on helpless frank Kaminsky. He holds the ball high like Dirk and Duncan and is fundamentally strong. I'm trying to contain myself but it's not easy. There was a story on the MSG post-game with Wally Sczerbiak about how melo and KP were playing 1-1 when melo invited everyone down to Puerto Rico this offseason. Melo was showing him some pointers on offense and without even practicing the moves KP6 was beating Melo with the very moves he taught him 5 minutes earlier. I only hope he becomes a consistent player.

Karl Towns...meet your only competition for ROY. Okafor, Winslow, Russell will have nice seasons....this may be a 2 man show. :)

I stopped after the insider trading stuff came out and I knew the NY State AG was going to come down on them. There had been some whispers they were upset with the SCOTUS ruling that it was legal....was only a matter of time. 1 douchebag ruins it for everyone. The good news is no more of their ads.

I'm stoked with Winslow but realistically he would never be in the ROY competition. His offense isn't developed enough and he's too much of a defensive/fundamental guy to be flashy enough to get votes.

I think it's more that the writers voting on the ROY awards would want to stick one to the analytics guys who talked about Winslow all year.

Well even after the NY ruling they allowed withdrawal from NY residents, just not deposits. Im sort of looking to make cash fast and get out, but Ive put in $5 and I'm up to $65 so I'm not worried about losing real money lol

Porzingas is the real life version of the fictitious customized version of Frank Kaminsky that fans build on NBA2k because they're unhappy with the real Frank Kaminsky supplied by the game makers.

And they said the 'Center' position was dead...

    Whiteside
    Towns
    Davis
    Cousins
    Drummond
    Jordan
Porzingis (EDIT - Playing PF a lot, listed on Knicks roster as Center-Forward - thanks Boik).

All significant on their teams but those rookies/young-guns in particular - could they herald a new bright era of centers?
