Until now I've always thought Tannehill was not the real problem. Unfortunately I'm now leaning to the fact he is the problem. His pocket presence just does not cut it to be a successful NFL quarterback. He has only shown a minimal improvement over the last few years and I really don't think he will ever truly overcome it as he just does not feel the pressure very well. I feel bad for the fans that endured the rain and wind in the first quarter. Now your damp, our teams loses and now you have to fight traffic and drive home and hope you don't come down with the flu! That sucks.
btw.. to rub salt into our collective wounds.. Jets are gonna LOSE. So we basically squander maybe the last realistic chance to get back into the playoff hunt. Day in the life of a Dolphins fan!
just think if 17 didn't throw a pick 6 we'd only be down 3, not that it matters but tannehill is holding this franchise back, anyone who says otherwise has no football i.q. we wont see a winning season with him at the helm, hes had 4 yrs now to prove himself and the only thing hes proved is that hes not a winner. and for those of you who still want to defend him ask yourself this, name one big game where he has carried the team on his back to a victory, and hes had plenty of chances in plenty of big games, like I said only thing hes proved is that hes not a winner
Meh, it wasn't happening anyway. The Ravens are thanking their lucky stars they've got us next weekend.
We we're always going to go 7-9, 8-8 at most, even if we had won this game. Rather lose hope now than to build it up only to be heartbroken in late December.
I would've rather had a fighting chance to the end than this. Psychologically that is. There's no "Suck for Luck" prize this year.
As bad as the defense was the last few drives. Really, Why the **** do you punt? After we tied the game, the D stunk almost immediately as usual, ST coughed up field position. Why punt??? You really had faith in the defense at that point to get you the ball back, based on how they performed after your offense tied it up? Terrible, terrible decision Campbell/Rizzi.
Our sts always seem to just kill anything...we cant over come mistakes..and we keep making the same mistakes...
Tannehill was assjuice today. In fact he's be bad all year long. We can't win scoring 14 points a game, which is pretty much what we average. That my friends falls on the play calling and it falls on the quarterback. No more excuses, the line gave him time today, he couldn't deliver. You can talk about the defense all day, but he threw the pick six and he's the one that couldn't lead us down the field. Yeah Landry is an idiot, Jason Fox is a drive killer, but Tannehill couldn't get it fking done. Season is officially over.
Typical Tannehill game today. He makes a few plays most games which give you the feeling he might be the long term answer for the Dolphins at the QB position. But when four quarters have been played, the Dolphins rarely score more than 17 points. He might be okay on a team with a great defense and a great running game, but he just isn't the type QB which other teams are going to fear once the game is on the line in the 4th quarter of a close game. I will be extremely surprised if he is still the Dolphins QB in 2017. Because of his contract, he will be a Dolphin in 2016, but I think the new coaching staff will be looking to upgrade at the QB position after next season.
I've officially given up on this team as of today.. AT home again another crappy game... I officaly see NO benefit of winning one more game... WE NEED TO TANK for a draft pick that will make a difference. New Coach and a NEW QB needed.
