Meh... you are focusing too much on one play IMO. The pick 6 sucks, ****ing right it does. Everything about it was terrible. However, collectively, and mostly on the offense, and the QB, we managed to tie the game. As soon as we did, the defense completely **** the bed the very next drive. ST put us in terrible position to start the next drive on the Landry kickoff disaster. Offense can't do much from inside your own 5. Then, we punt, and the ST unit coughs up a 15 yard penalty, putting Dallas in easy position to score again. So, yeah, you're focusing way too much on one play. We had opportunities to make plays, and collectively, we stunk it up after tying it up.
Before this game, we had to beat both the Jets and Bills. Both were beating us with their division records, so we needed to win 2 more games than they did over the remainder of the season. With this loss? It's not just those two teams we need to beat, but 2-3 other AFC teams!! That btw includes the Jaguars. Man.. there used to be a time where you arguably didn't belong in the league if you lost to the Jags LOL.
so the multitude of oline penalties single handedly killing a drive before it starts, or the ridiculous OC we have or the special teams for the 4th straight week being stupid and giving us drives starting at the 5 yard line or worse is all tannehills fault? when you dig a hole so deep how are you supposed to succeed?
Yep. Even a casual fan can figure out what they're going to do half the time. At some point we've got to come up with something beyond 'dump it off to a WR or RB and hope they create some YAC.'
Two weeks ago I would have said best defensive player available. I'm finally leaning towards quarterback at this point. Even the old guys on the radio see it. Bob Griese all but said we need a quarterback. He was polite about it, but he definitely threw a shot at Tannehill and rightfully so.
Everyone complaining about the defense. Romo back and they gave up 17 points. Other was a pick 6. That is a winnable game if the offense shows up.
This game is Exhibit A as to why Dan Campbell should absolutely NOT be the head coach next year. Too many bad decisions. Too many bad personnel starter/backup decisions.
Let's be honest here. They would not have converted that 4th down anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I would draft a QB if I thought there was a great one in the draft, but I just don't see one in this draft class. This team has so many needs, they could go LB, CB, safety, OL, or DE and they would be filling a big need at one of these positions. It will take at last three years of excellent drafting before this team will be a legitimate playoff contender.
Um its not just that play. The whole game the offense only scored 14 points. When has he ever played well in a divisional game? Or a game with playoff implications? Or any good team for that matter? Didn't even show up against one of the worst defenses in the league.
complete garbage, if you have a losing streak or are struggling at all, just play the dolphins and youll be awesome again what a f**king joke this team is
Again, you're missing the point. I don't give a **** about any of that crap you just rambled on about. It's not relevant. The offense got us back into this game after digging themselves a hole. The defense and special teams promptly dug that hole again. I know it's a hard concept for some of you, but take a look at this game beyond one player, one play. Was Tannehill effective today? No. Who was? Take a look at Lamar Miller's numbers, then ask yourself why, in a game that was only ever a 7 point deficit did he only carry the ball 7 ****ing times!!! The uselessness of our offense is far beyond any one player IMO. There's lots of individual blame to go around, but until the guy calling the ****ing game gets better, we're ****ed.
Oddly enough, I was just about to mention him. Baker Mayfield. Seems like a cross between Russell Wilson and Tony Romo. He's eligible for the '16 draft, but methinks if he doesn't win the Heisman, he'll be back.
At least we aren't the only team that sucks today. Rams drive into FG position with like two minutes left tied at 13. Zeurline misses. Ravens drive down into FG position. They miss the FG. 1 minute to go now, rams ball. Nobody wants this one.
If the offense doesn't play like garbage for a whole half its a different ball game. Not like they played well in 2nd half either. Another 7 point half. If they score more than 14 they have a chance to win. As for the last bolded part funny because all you want to do is blame everyone else but Tannehill. I could say well I don't care about the 2nd half defense played great in the 1st half but that would be total BS like your post.
