    Always an adjustment.

I'm not going to sit here and proclaim the defense played lights out, but they only gave up 17pts. Fact is they were competitive enough for us to be in the game in the first place and that's with a handful of inexperienced young pups thrust into action. But of course, they couldn't close the game. Neither could Tannehill and the offense sporting a juggernaut 14pts.

    This is simple logic.....

How do you know every loss Marino had was his fault? If every loss wasn't his fault, how can feel comfortable assigning those losses to him?

If Jamar Taylor had a better defensive line he would be a top 5 CB. Quit hating on him.

When I think Patriots super bowls, I think about Vinatieri making kick after kick to win games for them.

    No, no they didn't.

Those lists simply pointed how many wins and losses each QB was on the team for, those lists DID NOT say each of those wins and each of those losses were that QB's responsibility.

QBR is a BS stat that you don't even know the formula of. For all you know they are factoring in the QB's hair color. You don't know, none of us do, because ESPN won't release the math nor will they explain the method used for collecting the data. We do know somethings about it though....for example, did you know the defense can directly its QB's score?

do you think leadership is important at the qb position? and do you think a good one at that position keeps players in check from doing stupid things and missing assignments.?

You didn't answer my questions. You responded with some irrelevant bs about a QB who Thill couldn't carry his jock. Marino lost games but he also won games. The Marino example actually hurts your case. He turned a bunch of mediocre teams into 10-6 teams. He carried his team with little running game and defense aupport. Thill barely carries his own weight.

Why don't you admit it...the real problem is your guy had a win/loss record of 13-7 in college and now has a win/loss record of 27-31 in the NFL. His win/loss record in the 4 seasons as Dolphins QB is 7-9, 8-8, 8-8 and 4-6...he has yet to have a single season with a winning win/loss record.

You continue to misrepresent people. But you have no substance behind your argument so keep at that. You can't project Tannehills struggles on other people. He is to blame as much as anyone else. Other players not playing well doesn't exempt him from blame. Thats your problem.

No man Marino was on some loaded teams. He had a way better OL and defense then Tannehill. Same with Tom Brady and all the other great QBs.

Like it or not, Tannehill will get another look next season. Year five will be his make or break year. New staff, new coordinators, they're gonna want to see what they can do with him. He's a middle of the pack QB. With an improved o line and better coaching and play calling he'll have a better opportunity to shine, but he should have a very short leash.

Evidence? If the DL didn't allow the QB 5 seconds to throw Jamar Taylor would be a top CB in the league. If the team had better LBs and a free safety he would be top 5-10 CB. They need a second CB opposite of him too. You are expecting too much of him. Its a team game dude. Now give me a percentage of how much a CB is responsible for a teams Ws and Ls. Show your work. Give me some formulas. Come on man you took calculus in college right?

He has had 4 years. Different sets of coaches and players. This was his make or break it year. Next year will be his last period.

Absolutely. Cutting ties with Ryan after this season is just not realistic, so you draft a qb early and let him sit until Ryan is shown the door then we can all sit around and argue about THAT QB too.

What in the hairy hell are you talking about?

First of all, the post you quoted wasn't misrepresenting anyone.
Secondly, where do you get off saying anyone is misrepresenting anyone when you've yet to not only address specific things asked of you, but literally make up stuff like:

These are just from this page and the one before....and they weren't even all.

Thirdly, if he is too blame as much as anyone else, then that means they ALL are responsible for the loss, not just Tannehill...correct?

Lastly, oh look you're doing it again....where did I say he's blameless? How exactly does saying W/L record is not a QB stat equal me saying he's blameless?

This is not about comparing Marino to Tannehill.

Its really simple, just forget Tannehill for a second...

Are all of the losses Marino had, his fault yes or no?

Well you did, for one. I mean W/L record is a QB stat, right? If that's the case that means all of Marino's losses were his fault.

Dude if Jamar Taylor had a better defensive line he would be a top 5 CB. You really want to blame him when the QB has that much time to throw the ball? What about the LBs? Where are they? Better run support means better coverage. I don't see other CBs in the league with bad defensive lines like the Dolphins. How many CBs in this league have an average FS and average DL. Show your work.

I'm saying great QB play helps a team. A good QB elevates their team. Do they not? Does the QB position not have the most impact on a football game?

    Stop.

Do you do you not understand that CB and QB are different positions? Do you understand that all positions are not analogous to each other? Do you also understand, that I'm not saying W/L record is a CB stat?

    Read this very carefully:

ALL WE ARE SAYING IS THAT W/L RECORD IS NOT A QB STAT.

Bad DL, bad FS, bad LBs. You get a better team around Jamar Taylor and he is a better player. You expect a CB to play good in the NFL with all the bad play around him? Football is a team game.

to me its 11.25% which is still more than any one singular player. the formula i use is pretty simplistic though and i exclude coaches which i probably shouldnt do and which would put the QB under 10%

offense (45% of total) : oline 25%, RBs 25%, WRs and TEs 25%, QB 25%

    DEFENSE (45% of total) : DL: 33% LBs 33% DBs 33%

    sp tms (10% of total): k: 33% p 33% sp tms units 33%

Seriously, nothing your saying makes any sense.

    There's two arguments right now:

    Argument 1:
W/L record is or is not a QB stat.

    Argument 2:
The offenses woes are mostly or not Tannehill's fault.

For Argument 1, you've offered literally nothing in the way fo defending your point either with logic, numbers or actual evidence.

For Argument 2, you use your stance for Argument 1 as proof of Argument 2. Oh and some stupid BS about Jamar Taylor.

Ok, if they are not all his fault, how can they be stat he's responsible for? If W/L record is a QB stat, then that means Marino is not only responsible for all those wins, then he's responsible for all those losses.

    How much blame?
