Bad QBs get guys fired all the time. If Tannehill was a better player, the coaches would still be here. RT took over a .500-ish team and has yet to move the needle. Couple different coordinators, invested in a bunch of weapons...same results. At this point he is who he is. QBs don't suddenly make a leap after showing no sign of one after 3-4 years. I guess we'll keep waiting for him to become an exception...

Like I said, it's worse than we thought. We have some of the most stupid people in the entire NFL running our franchise and turning it into a circus while doing so. I knew that Tannehill contract was bad when I first read about it... stupid stupid stupid.

I think this franchise is costing me years on my life, I'm gonna have to try and stop being so invested in a perpetual loser.

What can the FO say, "We just gave a bottom 10 QB, top 10 $$$...we're IDIOTS!"?

There is a book titled, "Mistakes were made, but not by me" which fits perfectly in this situation. The content of the book is how people who make royal blunders deny, justify an blame others for their F-ups.

I responded to how I thought he would play today. Wasn;t sure this was your business, but thanks for your input.

So Tannenbaum believes Tannehill is a top 10 QB. I'm more than confident taking an opposing stance to him.

A bunch of the QBs the Dolphins supposedly wouldn't prefer over Tannehill are downright hilarious.

It's easy for the front office to stick with Tannehill. Tannenbaum has way more job stability than Campbell or Lazor.

I think most of our fans have accepted reality after the fifth beat down by a divisional rival. I realized late last year that the reason we're getting beat by the Bills and Jets of the world is how woefully matched up we are against those teams in the trenches. I also think that many of our problems now, are to some degree coaching, but more so our roster is poorly built and has way too many holes to be a good team. I'm honestly trying to see if there's enough talent on this team to turn it around in two offseasons.

Andrew Luck led his team to the AFC Championship game last year with no running game. He has made the playoffs 3 times in a row.

Tannehill blew critical home games in 2013 and 2014 down the stretch and is looking at another failed season this season. Please do not compare the two.

The sad thing about the article for me is, if true, we would only hire a yes man coaching staff after this season. No GM wants a coach to come in and say the QB we have sucks. They will hire a guy who says all teh things they want to hear and that'll keep us below average again and again.

Being 22nd in the league in rushing is now considered no running game? They weren't even close to the bottom of the league (400 yards less than what Indy got).

And Tannehill really only had one bad home game at the end of 2013 vs and 2014 (it was 2013 vs the Jets). That's not to say he had good games, but I don't think he blew it either.

In 2014 at home vs the Ravens, we gave up two 80+ yd TD drives in the 4th quarter after bringing the score to 14-13 (we were down one).

In 2014 at home vs the Jets, we gave a perfect rating to Geno Smith. Entering the 4th quarter it was 24-24, and we surrendered 13 pts, including two 70+ yd drives.

Again, not saying Tannehill played great, but it's a mis-characterization IMO to say he blew the games.
