He's right.. but the big problem with this team is the offense.

Its not just offense, its D too, mainly offense, but D hasnt been great other than a select few, like Suh said.

Well, the D actually played pretty well up until they were ont he field all game and the Jets OC went after Grimes with Marshall all day due to the size difference.

Bottom line... on offense, when you're trying to substitute your run game, with a short pass/WR screen game because your OL sucks, and your short pass/Screen game gets shut down... guess what? You're faced with alot of 3 and outs, and your D is constantly on the field, and they wear down. Not much you can do. The D was good early.

Actually Suh is tradable, just can't be cut, there would be 20 mil to eat in a trade(5 mil per for the next 4 years of signing bonus), but there would be a cap savings of 3 mil, OR if the 20 mil was spread over 2 years it would be a savings of 13 mil cap wise.

For another team he's more of a bargain, because you'd be getting him at 17 mil per, over 5 years, with the ability to cut him with zero cap hit in 2 years.

It would make sense for a team making a run at a SB if they had the cap space, and he figured in to be their final piece, but he makes no sense for a rebuilding team, he'll be 29 next year and a huge strain on the cap.

I think Jones is better at his job than Suh is at his, Jones is a serious impact player at S, and should be a 1st team all pro this year.

I know, right? I guess since he's a D lineman he had to respect the accomplished veteran with seniority but didn't realize the SS fits that bill as well.

Oh yeah, I've seen him in person quite a few times. He's a big hitter and a tremendous play maker. Even better is that he's elevated his play in a season when everybody in his vicinity is garbage.

The three and outs have been an ongoing theme for a while now. To call players to arms in this manner is out of line IF it went down as reported. I'm just not a fan of it.

It shows just how much of a team game this is and how much the defense plays off of the offense (and maybe even vice versa). Untimely sacks, penalties, and INTs, play a big role as to why this team is struggling. I've never seen so many of these on a team in a year. They happen, but the frequency in which they happen on this squad are unbelievable. It is a team game, and it sounds like Suh made it more about himself.

**In other news, Darr seems to be having a helluva year!**

    Nonsense

Few men are above the other men on a professional football team.

DO YOUR JOB is one of the best practices to instill in a group of players that can be instilled. It takes time and BELIEF in a system and group of coaches.

An example is my All star team 2 weekends ago. With only five practices and 7 assistant coaches, I got them to buy into my philosophy that everyone plays regardless of perceived talent. Despite push back from several assistant coaches and one coach who was very verbal about it (I asked in closed door meeting for him to either be a team coach, or step down) we demolished the West allstar team 34-6. The west team had -6 yards of total offense and gave up 7 sacks and 4 picks. Our offense generated close to 300 yards offense itself - with only 10 total hours of practice time.

Why am I posting this? Because football is a team sport and each player needs the other player to be successful. Despite perceiving a player to be talented or not talented, schemes to be effective or ineffective, or coaches to have what it takes making it known you don't buy in to the program is a bad sign.

Going out on a limb and proclaiming yourself to be the Alpha male is not wise, especially for a professional. This will divide the locker room and cause rifts among players and coaches and will ultimately blow up in Suh's face. Having this type of attitude will effect the Dolphins moving forward as they now obviously have to bring in an alpha male coach who will take no **** from anyone -----including Suh.

If I was the head coach of this team Suh's days in Miami would be numbered!!

I like your philosophy. However, I think Suh applies to your first line as he is one of the few above the other men on the team. I'm glad we have him.

All teams need to have player(s) that are leaders, even when everyone is doing their jobs. The Pats are most notorious for the "Do your jobs" slogan and Brady clearly runs that offense. Can't think of a team that has ever won a championship without clear player leadership. The Dolphins have been sorely lacking in on-field leadership and that is a big part of the problem. Traditionally, that goes hand-in-hand with the QB position. Unfortunately for us...heck, Incognito was the team leader a mere two years ago.

Can not disagree with you ,except the Suh part. Suh anointing himself the leader is, well, arrogant if you ask me. If a Man is a natural born leader then the other players around him will anoint him. They will anoint him because he leads by example. Tom Brady is the leader because he works his balls off and his goal is to win the superbowl--every single year. Tom Brady understands anything short of the superbowl is failure ---- and he plays like it. Suh proclaiming himself to be the person who runs the defense in my opinion is a slap in the face to Coyle and the rest of the Coaching staff. Maybe its a statement to get Coyle looked at a little harder also, not sure only Suh knows that.

I would suspect that future coaching candidate's will look long and hard at this guy. It is possible some may run for the hills because of it. Couple it with the questions surrounding Tannehill and we have the makings of another less then stellar coaching search. Maybe I am wrong but if a new coach is going to come in he is going to make damn sure he is not going to be undermined by a guy who openly state he is invincible and going to be around for 5 years regardless of what happens.

    Final thought:

220 million tied up in two players for the next 5 years ------ what do you think that's going to do to the coaching search??

soooooooooooo you were coaching an ALL - STAR team... that hints that all the players were already good and all should have had equal playing time.

Yes I was the Head Coach. Excellent you get the point or do you?

However some of the coaches didn't get the point. They formed opinions instantly from things they had heard, times they played against a player, and pure laziness. Suh stating to the players most of you can not play with me is an insult. This is the NFL and they all can play ---or they wouldn't be there. Are some better then others, --sure, but I guarantee you there is top stud talent on every team that gets ignored. How many times have we seen players go elsewhere and thrive.

Hey did you see Brandon Marshall's game Sunday?

I will make a different point.

    Tom Brady.

Belicheck (top 3 coach in history) Had a idea what they had in Brady but didn't really act on it until someone got hurt. He was sitting on possibly one of the best QB's to ever play the game. It illustrates how a team or team of coaches or even a coach as great as Belicheck can become complacent in their search for greatness.

Now throw in the fact this is the NFL and that most of the players are exceptional, and making statement's like Suh made are ridiculous, self serving and a distraction.

If everyone got playing time I believe the league would be better then it is.

    Can it work?

Absolutely it can. The great Don Shula proved it with David Woodley and Bob Greise

If he said it good. Too damn many sheep on this team and not enough leaders.

As far as 220 million tied up in two players, Phins can get out of Thill's contract after next season if we need to. And if you dont like that number for a starting QB, too bad. That's the price of admission these days. Is he worth it? I dunno but he sure hasn't looked the part in quite awhile.
