    I have no choice but to hope for a better future, but I just don't have the same positive view of Tannebaum and Hickey as you do. Yet I do hope you end up being right about them and I end up being wrong.

    My offer is still on the table for you to prove your superiority. Until then you should refrain from pretending you're more intelligent.

    It was a question, not a claim. Notice the question mark, "mr reading comprehension." It's laughable that you'd question my literacy considering your grammar.

    The funny thing is that they feel the same way. It's the same reason that someone can look at a BMW as an amazing car that makes sense to own and another can view it as a waste of money. Or how a girl is hot or not. Or how Apple is overpriced at $119 or undervalued. Or how a president is the worst one in the history of the US or the best.

    There are people who honestly believe that our OL, coaching and running game is so bad that it's causing Tannehill to fail. To me, there is some truth to that. On the other hand, I still see him staring down receivers, taking sacks when he shouldn't and turning the ball over way too much to be successful at a high level.

    Either way, if it was that clear, then a high majority of our poster would want to trade him for anything we could get.

    I'm trolling but you're constantly hurling insults questioning my literacy and intelligence. Nobody else has ever called out posters like you that enjoy insulting me. It's ridiculous.

    Patriots fan? Because I root for my Bostonian dad's and his best friend's team once the regular season is over? Family is much more important to me than the Dolphins. I'm not going to be an obnoxious hater and root against them when it makes my family and friends happy. When the Dolphins face them, I root for my Dolphins.

    the mods should allow a wilson thread in the mains where folks who said incorrect things about wilson as a qb, and who kept it going, eat some crow...that was a very long debate where they were out of control wrong..or maybe some of those folks could come clean and admit they were wrong in every sense..they wasted a lot of peoples time..

    I think there is some well deserved crow that needs to be eaten on the wilson subject..not just the comparison because that was a joke from the get, but the ones who simply were just saying he was overrated..or if he was on another team he wouldn't have success, or that he would be cut, or that he was riding curtails of Lynch, or a system, or a defense..

    great qb period, end of story..now go mow my lawn.

    8 points from the offense today at home doesn't usually cut it. Hence why Miami is 0-5 in the division and can't beat a good team. I mean I guess any win is good, but when they go 6-10, 7-9 & 8-8 every year it gets old watching meaningless wins. Just a lack of excitement.

    Yep. Plenty said if Tannehill was asked to do the same as Wilson, he'd have success. This game is hard evidence that that's a fallacy.

    Don't worry about me. I am just venting today.

    The fact is I have a great life and a wonderful wife who I will be married to for 43 years in March. I still have my health and I get to play golf as often as I want on these beautiful Hawaiian courses.

    Other than my frustration with the Dolphins, I don't have a single thing to complain about. So all things considered, I wouldn't change places with anyone else on earth. In fact if the Dolphins ever become relevant again, my life will be perfect.

    1 rollout ...the play had 1 option to throw to..bad design..

    1 zone read run..10 yards.

    0 unscripted runs by the qb..

    I wanted Kuechly in round one and Wilson in round two of the 2012 draft. Any chance we can go back and redo that draft? Lol.

    I thought it was an excellent pass. He stood in the pocket and took a big hit to throw it too. My criticism is why not take more shots in the second half to Parker down the field. Parker has shown that as long as Tannehill (any QB) throws the ball high he doesn't have to be perfect with the pass. He can throw it short and Parker can go up and get it over the defender. The excuse of not having audible rights doesn't apply anymore.

    There is a saying, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results" and I agree. What could be added to that is, "Insanity is doing something that works and then not doing it again."

    lol. so you're crowing about having good games against a 30th ranked pass defense, a 28th ranked pass defense and a Vikings defense missing its best defensive lineman, its best linebacker and both of its starting safeties. lol. priceless
    (additionally the seattle defense held the Vikings offense to 125 total yards)

    lets look at how he did VS the last two defenses that didnt suck

    vs cards 14 of 32 240 yds 1 td 1 int 67.2 QB rating
    vs cowboys 19 of 30 210yds 1 td 1 int 81.3 QB rating

    Vikings allow a QBR of 86.2 on average, good for 14th in the league, Baltimore allows 98.3 good for 26th. In short? A Qb is much better off facing the Ravens than the Vikings.

    Carry on.

    not with 4/9ths of their defense missing they don't. Add in the fact that the seahawks defense held minnesota to 125 yds total offense. i shall repeat 125 yds of total offense. that's a helluva alot of time possession advantage you get)

    considering they play the ravens and browns next i expect wilson to keep playing well through those games
    then they play st louis and even though the rams have a good pass defense their offense is so bad right now i expect wilson to have a good game just because of the time of possession advantage.
    Where you will see him flounder is against Arizona and the first good defense they face in the playoffs. we'll see if the seahawks defense can come to the rescue again for him

    You are reaching.

    You defend Ryan like he saved you from a burning building yet chastise a QB who is a SB winner and a flat out beast...your agenda is obvious to all except a couple.

    Forget about it. We can't win. We're just going to be attacked and reported. It's better to let the play speak for itself at this point. We shouldn't have to wait too longer for everybody to admit the truth.

    i defend tannehill because he's a good QB on a crappy team and if wilson's a beast he'll tear up arizona. let's resume the conversation after that game

    I agree the Dolphins are a crappy team this year. I disagree that Tannehill is a good QB on a crappy team. I believe he is a fairly crappy QB on a crappy team. But we can just agree to disagree when it comes to Tannehill.

    One way to measure whether a QB is capable of winning games for them is to look at how many Game Winning Drives (go ahead drive in the 4th quarter or OT) as compared to their team's losses when they start. GWD mean if the team did not score in the 4th quarter or OT at best that game end in a tie...then divide GWD / losses + GWD to see what percentage of the time that QB has led their team to victory in the 4th quarter/OT when it otherwise wouldn't be.

    Stafford = 19 GWD 50 losses = 27.5%
    Ryan = 30 GWD 50 losses = 37.5%
    Flacco = 24 GWD 47 losses = 33.8%
    Carr = 3 GWD 20 losses = 13%
    Dalton = 16 GWD 25 losses = 39%
    Smith = 18 GWD 56 losses = 24.3%
    Bortles = 5 GWD 19 losses = 20.8%

    Tannehill = 6 GWD 32 losses = 15.7%

    Keep in mind Tannehill got his only GWD this year on the first play of the 4th quarter against the Eagles when he threw a pass off the helmet of an Eagle and Landry caught the pass for a TD, so Tannehill is getting a real break adding to his total of GWD.

    The fact is, anyone would be hard pressed to look at what Ryan Tannehill has done in college and the NFL so far and not conclude that Tannehill is in the BOTTOM 10% (now and all-time) when it comes to CLUTCH play.

    Heaven forbid ANYONE gives ANY context to the Wilson stuff.

    Get a grip, guys. The reason Wilson gets used so much, is simply because the anti-Tannehill crowd had used him as their poster child all along.

    So we should judge Wilson on his game against one of the top 3 teams in the NFL and ignore the other 15 and not to mention a pretty damn good career.

    Sounds like a GREAAAAAT logic. :lol:

    Last year, Tannehill isn't elite and we are average because he can't complete the deep ball.
    This year, we are below average and he completes the deep ball.

    Last month, wins and losses are QB stats.
    This week, we won in spite of Tannehill.
