No matter where you stand on the Tannehill stance it is really difficult to be a fan of this Dolphins team. I feel for all of us.

As far as Tannehill goes I thought he played well, he actually moved around in the pocket some and avoided the pass rush. That was really nice to see from his point. His passes were not always accurate once out of the pocket, but at least he was not sitting and taking a sack. 3 balls that were not perfect, but if the receiver had helped him out a bit would have been huge plays. Sims, Parker, and Cameron all had chances to make a play to help and they didn’t.

Dallas Thomas still sucks. Starting to add Cameron to the list too (false start every game, dropped balls)

Taylor got toasted yet again, I could have sworn I heard him called Jamal Fletcher.

Can we get the shotgun pitch back run deleted from the playbook? IT never works!!!!

Why do we continue to run plays that start out going either no yards or backwards. Moving the ball really well and we run a reverse, or a toss sweep ,or a pass for zero yards. HATE those play calls.

Beginning to believe we put 50 plays in a hat and draw them out and call them until hat is empty. For some reason we don’t seem to go back to plays that work.

Was Miller hurt? He was killing it first quarter and a half and then disappeared. Why is Williams who is the worst of the 3 backs getting the most snaps?

Landry needs to grow up, he has a costly penalty almost every game, he is no Odell and the Dolphins need to stop going to him so often.

I think I was wrong about Grimes, but how do you not double the only player on the Giants that can beat you?

Have we forgotten the blitz? Do you have more than 1 safety on the field? Where is the tall kid that intercepted all the passes in preseason? Time to get him some playing time.

Beginning to think we need CB and LB’s in next years draft. Pick one side of the ball and draft all for that.

I still like Campbell. He looked like he was ready to pop someones head off. Just not enough horses in the stable.

I wondered if Miller was hurt as well....it made no sense not to go back to him otherwise.

I did like the reverse to Landry though; I just wish he didn't try to run it off center. If he would have ran the play as designed and went around the far corner, there was a heck of a lot of daylight for him to take advantage of. But I guess you can't fault him...he saw a tiny hole and tried to pop through it.

Also, you could argue that four of our five linemen should not be NFL starters, so it's hard to be too critical there in my opinion. Overall, the protection was pretty solid...although the mental errors certainly hurt.

I thought it was Tannehill's best game of the season by a very wide margin, simply because he gave the offense a chance to make huge plays. And I know he's had better statistical games, but those were ones where receivers had a huge day and made defenses look stupid. Last night was the Miller and Tanny show...it really stinks we couldn't get the win for Ryan's confidence closing out this year.

Grimes? I don't want to talk about Grimes. He's a Pro-Bowler that suddenly looks his age, and I appreciate the solid seasons that he provided for us. But now it's time to pass the torch and grab a 1st round corner that can get a lot more physical.

Suh? He had all but given up by the start of the 4th quarter. I know it was hot and I know he plays hard, but we need to be subbing him out in the first half a little more to keep his motor high for 4 quarters.

And I like Campbell a lot too. While I'm a lousy lip-reader, I'm pretty sure I saw, "What kind of **** call is that?!?" more than once.

Sims' was clearly a drop (he's just not good). Parker and Cameron were brought here to make those catches. Cameron drops his due to contact. Parker doesn't use his athleticism and attack the ball. Those were all drops as far as I'm concerned.

We blitzed plenty but they were getting the ball out quick. Eli threw the ball over 30 times but threw it over 10 yards only 6 times, I think.

And when he threw it deep he was accurate and had receivers who catched that damned ball!

I agree the balls should have been caught. Even one of the 3 caught game might have been different.

I didn't really see any blitzes, but you are correct he threw lots of quick ones. Why can't we not run slants???? Almost impossible to defend those and they can break for huge yards.

I totally agree. I was impressed with what he did moving around and keeping plays alive. Even though he missed some throws I was pleased with the plays he was making to keep plays alive.

We did actually blitz quite a bit, Gruden even mentioned it, we had 2 LBs over the middle gaps a lot, and many times at least 1 blitzed, and a few times both blitzed.

I think his best game was against the Jags, have to take into account that this was the worst pass D in the league last night.

He played a solid game against a ****ty team and was let down by teammates and coaches. That's not nearly enough to change my mind. Next season might.

Mind not changed, but I liked his movement in the pocket for once :) He has 3 more games to put it all together.

I need to go back and watch the tape, I saw several plays where there were only 4 men rushing. I did see the guys standing there like the were going to and then backed off. I remember one play for them it was 3rd and like 3, our LB's were like 7 yards from the line, I was like WTH? How you going to stop a run like that. Easy first down run for Giants.

Why do we blitz and play 10 yard off? 7 yards off? This is just so stupid it hurts. We give them free run to their blitz routes. Unreal really. Ryan did play his best game in my mind. He moved well in the pocket and he took chances down field. This opened up more of the short routes. Not sure why no running of Miller. Pretty lousy. We do like to kill our own momentum with weird play calls. That pitch/sweep play is my least fav play in our playbook. I screamed at the tv every time we call it. I also hate throwing receiver screens with no blockers in front of the guy and the corner is playing 4 yards off. Talk about an easy play to stop. We did it 10 times last night. Frustrating play. Run Miller and throw down field. Instant success. Then you can sprinkle in the odd screen. Seriously not that hard. I like that Ryan was looking downfield when he broke the pocket, he did miss Landry for a TD on the last play, but on some of those I'd like to see him tuck it and run. Especially on 3rd down. I also would have liked us to go for it on 4th down on the final series as I knew we weren't getting the ball back, even though that ball was trapped on the ground by OBJ.

I've defended Tannehill more than I'd like to admit over the last 4 seasons. I jumped off that wagon 3 weeks ago, I just don't think he's the answer. He did play well last night. The entire team (outside of Suh, OV, Miller and Landry...at times) let him down. Drops. Stupid penalties. Blown coverage. Bad play calling. All hurt the Dolphins last night. That secondary is garbage, outside of Jones. So bad. As usual, punter, Darr was player of the game last night as far as I'm concerned. Tannehill did miss a few throws and looked like he was going to get Sims killed in the first quarter, but then he shows flashes. He audibled at the line. Sensed the pressure and stepped up or moved the pocket. And that throw to Stills was gorgeous. But that's Ryan Tannehill. Some good. Some bad. Never consistent. And that's why I'm not jumping back on Team Tannehill just yet. I've removed the aqua glasses and am looking at him for what he is: average, to below average. BUT, he has some skills to improve. Miami keeps changing systems, coaches, coordinator, WR's, TE's etc to make him comfortable and to "play to his strengths," I still don't see it happening. How much change do you make before you look at who you're changing for? I want him to be the answer. I want him to be the QB I talked myself into believing he was coming into this season. Please prove me wrong.

I feel the same way. I want him to succeed and be a top 10 QB because his contract would be relatively cheap but people are overreacting to this MNF game. I need to see more consistency.
