    DEAR Mike,
I Just want to thank you for the linebacker upgrades as well as the attention to the offensive line.I was really hoping for a 5-11 season and u delivered!
First you fixed the Jets and now the phins.Lucky for us Ross won't let u get away and we should enjoy at least another 3 years of these wonderful upgrades.
    Sincerely
    A Fortunate phin fan.

This is one bandwagon I will be happy to jump on. Tannebaum comes in and takes over as head of football operations. He then signs Suh and Tannehill to huge contracts and totally avoids drafting or signing players for the real areas of need on this team

Instead of becoming a better team, the Dolphins took a giant step backwards under Tannebaum. It is time to start over and that means everyone needs to go, starting with Tannebaum and everyone below him including the GM, all the coaches and many of the players.

If Ross keeps any of these front office bumpkins or any of the coaches, that will be a clear sign he really doesn't deserve to own an NFL franchise.

Look, I agree about the OL.. I'm sure we all do. Throw in the LB's, and CB's too... but The guy has only been here about a year... There's only so much you can do in an offseason, Dennis Hickey's been the guy building this roster along with Philbin.

I dont really care what happens to Mike, but I'm just saying... I'm not sure he's totally the guy to blame here. It's the last several years of poor personnel decisions prior to Tannenbaum arriving adding up. I get that he didn't help much this offseason... but I'm not sure he's the one to point the finger at just yet.

Keep Tannenbaum. Fire Hickey, promote Stokes to GM, and clear the decks in the front office.

If he is standing in the way of us getting the right coach then he can kindly leave. Honestly, with his track record, what makes anyone think he is the front office man to turn this team around? I am a fan and I was posting about how bad our LBs and Oline was before the season started, I don't know anywhere near enough to even think about working in an NFL front office and yet thought we'd be alright in those spots? I think its kind of fair to look at his time with the Jest and his first year here and say, 'maybe we should rethink this' and move on. If I bought this team I'd get rid of him for certain.

If Tannebaum had a good track record in the NFL, I might agree with you. But all he did with the Jets is spend them into cap hell by signing a bunch of mediocre players and a bad QB in Sanchez.

I just don't trust him to guide this franchise in the future and I'm afraid he will leave the Dolphins in the same terrible cap position he left the Jets in before he was fired.

I never thought he was a good hire in the first place and after what I have seen so far from him, I'm not thrilled.

Ross will probably keep Tannebaum, but I just don't agree with that decision.I think it is time to clean out the entire junk pile and start all over, because this organization is headed in the wrong direction with this group of misfits in charge, IMO.

We didn't get here in one offseason. We're here because of the last, oh idk, 10 offseasons?

We are pretty much always wrong. Head coach? Cam cameron over mike tomlin. We extend Sparano too long, then we snub bowles for philbin, then we keep philbin too long too. And thats all likely because we kept Ireland too long. I'm so tired of **** coaches. I have friends who are giant's fans and I tell them theyre going to miss Coughlin soon. They're waiting for him to go so badly but they don't understand what they've gotten from him.

But even more so then that, we draft OL that just plain suck. Others teams find start OGs from anywhere in the draft. Not us. We can't find one if our franchise depended on it. And it kind of does.

And then there's all the ******ed ****ing moves. Trading vontae, trading marshall, trading up for the biggest bust in franchise history, drafting Jamar taylor, Dallas thomas, Jamil douglas, jordan tripp, will davis, Walt aikens, Caleb Sturgis...to name a few. Overpaying albert, overpaying suh. How has misi been here so long??? Dansby, wheeler, ellerbe, **** **** ****kk.

Think about it, REALLY think about it...We're a franchise that ****s up everything we do at this point. We spend our money wrong, hire the wrong guys, draft the wrong guys, and it's been that way for ywars upon years. Tannenbaum not to blame, not yet anyway, but he's off to a bad start of course.

And you know, we hired him, which of course he's going to ****ing suck

yeah its several people put together. I'm not a fan of tannenbaum but he deserves another year to prove he gets it. we need an oline finally. if he delivers next year i'll be happy. philbin got rid of at least four players we could have used. ireland couldnt get the team an oline. what sucks is that this was a slow moving deterioration. looking at this roster i feel like we have the worst roster since the cameron year

I like the way of Hickey collaborates with the head coach. Thought he had a tremendous draft. The caveat to me was the rumor that he planned on drafting a rb in the second round. The deal he made should pay dividends, but that LB from the U was available and a lot of us wanted him.

Just hope Hickey lands somewhere good if we do jettison him.

I took a look at the 7 off-seasons that Tannenbaum presided over while in charge of the New York Jets and I was horrified to find that he essentially ruined that team.

Firstly, he traded away tons of draft picks. MT averaged about 5 picks per draft. He had drafts where he left himself only 3 and 4 picks. That was like 50% of the time, too!

After that, his hit rate in the 1st round was only about 50%. Even Jeff Ireland did better than that!

When you look at the mid- and late-rounders, it's a joke. He drafted tons of guys and all but a small handful went on to be total busts. The best he ever got was something serviceable.

I can through numerous positions where he never got a hit.

Add to that the terrible contracts and the BS he sells everyone and I'll say this much....if you didn't like Jeff Ireland handling drafts...you ought to be pretty pissed off about having MT around.

Not sure you can really say Tannenbaum is responsible for our mess after one offseason. I thought the draft was good (hard to say it was bad right?), the FA's weren't bad, and you can't fix all problems in one offseason.

The most important decision this offseason is a new coach. He gets that right and he's a good GM, he gets it wrong and he's as bad as anyone in recent memory. So since it's unrealistic to expect him to be fired, I think it's best to evaluate Tannenbaum after we see who he hires as HC.

The GM is irrelevant because Tannenbomb is the one making all the decisions.

Really? The FA's weren't bad? Giving Suh a huge contract doesn't look great. Didn't address the O-Line or the secondary. Used a 2nd on a luxury pick (Phillips).

The issue with Tannenbaum is he was with the Jets and left them in ruins. How he deserved the keys to a franchise a second time is beyond me.

Why does he deserve another year? What has he done in the NFL to deserve any sort of consideration for past success? I don't see it. Honestly he was a major mistake and we are going to regret giving him more time.

Let's not forget he helped get rid of some of Ireland's mess, like those LB's (remember Ellerbe and Wheeler?). Not sure how you can say those were bad moves. And much of the board was in ecstasy about Suh's signing. If we're judging people only based on hindsight, then it's clearly not fair. I mean the number of wrong predictions by people here (including me) was HUGE this season.

And as I said the draft looks fine, unlike during Ireland's tenure where we tended to waste a 2nd rounder almost every year. No I'm not crucifying Tannenbaum after one offseason that I actually thought was good (obviously results haven't been good). I'll judge him after we see who he gets as HC.
