I haven't seen San Antonio play in a while, but their numbers recently are just dominant. In their last 15 games, they've given up 84.8 points/gm and scored 101.9. I'm all for having GSW and SAS play a best of 15 to decide the West. Just play every other day for a month and see who wins more. That would be awesome.
Not stacked but still top heavy, Spurs Warriors WC final has the makings of Epic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My daughter (age 25) is a huge Laker (Kobe) fan and I am taking her to see them play in Charlotte in a couple weeks... she will pass out when she figures out our seats are on about the 2nd Row courtside. Should be fun.
The Warriors are all up in arms about how the Bucks celebrated snapping their streak the other night. That team went from really likable to really unlikable really fast.
Guaranteed Cam Newton will be in attendance for that game. Should be a fun atmosphere with him and Kobe in the arena.
Well when you're an elite team on a ridiculous winning streak teams are going to celebrate a bit. They need to get over it.
Well..McBob has knicky Knack Injuries,..So he has that going for him.... What he doesn't have going for him is that Spo only likes playing 3 bigs, and UD somehow is still a good P&R defender.
So what's up with the heat? Still a long way to go but it's frustrating. Need to feed Whiteside more and earlier so we can go small towards the end of the 4th
that game was infuriating. Bosh was 12-0 against his former team. Now he is 12-1. From Up 11 and dominating...to losing the damn game. Just move on..long season. But this one hurt a little more than others.
Knicks beat the Bulls...back to 500. Its not anything to brag about but after last season? Ill take it.
I havent really paid attention to the Bulls this season. Expected the Knicks to win though, the Bulls are still the same team as five years ago. Whenever they decide to change things up they will remain the Dolphins of the NBA..
I mean Chicago was on the road for night 2 of a back-to-back...coming off a 4OT game vs DET. Think that might've been a bigger factor. And for some reason Bovada had NYK at -2 in that spot. LOL. $$$
Took them a bit to figure out that Hassan Whiteside could be an option on the offensive side of the floor late in games, so that we're not stuck trying to win close games purely with Dwyane Wade taking terrible shots and hoping they go in cuz he's a Hall of Famer.
This is an article on the Heat's official page: http://www.nba.com/heat/newsrecap/upandup You would never see an article this good on the Dolphins official page. The only guy I'm convinced knows a bit of what he's talking about is John Congemi and he's not really a writer like Cooper Moorehead.
I love the general gist of that especially in context of what we've been talking about with Miami's defense being worse with Hassan Whiteside in the game because he's too anchored to the paint. They start toying with the idea of Hassan playing up a little more. Hassan is like, "If you want me to be up just tell me to be up." Chris Bosh, "Ok then. Be up." Hassan, "Ok." (Heat win as Bosh-Whiteside duo is the most effective defensive rotation against a team that went red hot offensively)
He's the very best, and the Miami Heat is the VERY BEST in ALL OF SPORTS with their home side Media operation.
I think what I took out of this article is further confirmation of how lucky we are that we found a "lifer" type coach that will be here for a VERY LONG time, who is gonna push for hall of fame consideration....and he is only a little older than me! Spo used a blitzing, hedging and uber aggressive defensive system that adopted parts of the Riley system, for most of his tenure.... He gets different personnel. He changes his philosophy 180 degrees....and....and....and...GETS THE SAME GREAT RESULTS!!! (actually, this conservative passive style of defense has them with the best defensive rating since 2011.)
Still think there are further depths to be explored with Whiteside's offensive capabilities. He can take over games on offense and defense. They need his offense in the fourth quarter where they've run into situations they start looking so predictable. His two man game with Wade is so strong, it's such a natural complement to have him in there taking lobs off Wade's penetration.
No, Jerian Grant looked like a rookie tonight. Porz is gonna have his ups and downs. Grant actually worries me though cause he has actual work to do. Porz just needs to get stronger and get used to the grind which is every rookie. His game just needs to continue to grow like every other player who comes in the league. But Grant...Grant is looking seriously flawed. He is shooting 19% from 3 and his mid range game is non existent. If hes not in the paint, its likely a miss and its starting to reflect in his shot and his confidence. Galloway on the other hand, I seriously love having on this team. If we could somehow mold him in to a PG we're good there. He will be in the league for at least 10 years unless he gets complacent. He should be starting already but they love having Calderon's crappy D out there to play matador with opposing PG's. I cannot wait til hes gone. Hes a great shooter and was a good fantasy player 5 years ago and thats the nicest things I can say about him. On a different note Demarcus Cousins is lost right now. He says so himself: http://larrybrownsports.com/basketball/demarcus-cousins-out-of-sync-lost/285770 George Karl is dragging down the value of his teams best asset. I dont know why you would have a player who had a 47% FG% and shot .3 3's per game last year is not taking almost 4 per game and dropped his FG% to 42. If Im a betting man, and Im not really unless its Fantasy sports, Im betting someone, probably Phil or Riley will be swooping him to get him cheaper then they should sometime in mid January before players values spike up before the trade deadline when even your 3rd string PG is worth a 2 this year, a 2 in 2020 and 3M in cash. This feels like Pau Gasol on Memphis all over again. All star, borderline elite talent on a directionless franchise that cant figure out its *** from its elbow. Im gonna have some fun (emphasis on fun) with this and say DMC goes to the Knicks on January 23rd. Calderon (7.M), Robin Lopez (13.5), Derrick Williams (4.8M), Cleanthony Early (845K), Thanisis Antetokoumpo, and the rights to Willy Hernangomez (very highly rated international prospect) for Rajon Rondo (9.5M) and DMC (15.5M). Trade works cap wise as well since neither Greek Freak 2 or Hernangomez actually have nba contracts right now.
So let me get this right...Everybody wants to empty their trash can on Sacramentos Lawn and get DMC in return..and in THIS CASE...they want Rondo too? let me clue you in...the Sac owner is a crazy person and he's in love with DMC. He is not trading him for anything less than a good lotto pick. They just turned down offers on draft day..they are not taking trash for him now when he still has years left on his deal at a reasonable number.
Again, the emphasis was on fun. It wasnt a serious thing. But it certainly wasnt trash either. Hernangomez would very likely be a top 10 pick when his contract in Europe is up (I believe after next year) and draws comparisons to Marc Gasol both in terms of build and style of play. Sacremento wanted to keep Derrick Williams. Lopez is a solid PnR C who defends the rim. Thanisis isnt his brother but he has upside. In any other offense he'd have been rostered but because the triangle emphasizes jump shooting so much hes not ready. The Knicks have the lowest % of pick and rolls run and are bottom 5 in fast break points so he would have serious struggles offensively on these Knicks. But for a George Karl offense...he could be a bench player at the very least. The offer Sheridan floated out there of Winslow and Whiteside came from Sacrementos side. The asking price will only fall from there.
Or that is the base line. a HELLUVA baseline to be honest. WHO beats that offer? I'll answer for you.....a team that is willing to dump a young all-star (they don't exist). I think this DMC stuff is mental masturbation from Sheridan that has Heat and Knicks fans fooling themselves. Vivek Ranadive is an insane person, and he LOVES DMC. It's an obsession he has. Somebody has to wow them with an offer. In fact..I bet if Miami did offer Winslow and HW...they would get hung up on.
Goran Dragic' Tech and Ejection have been rescinded. That makes the 4th time the NBA apologizes to the Heat for a bad call. Agenda much NBA?
Got two clean shots to try and win the game at the end. We can ***** about the no-call on that obvious travel by Reggie Jackson but who knows what would've happened if we'd been on defense. Still got two clean chances to win the game and Wade and Bosh flubbed it. The only thing that pisses me off is one of those possessions where we didn't get a clean shot, the ball just stuck right in Bosh's hands for 9 seconds. This is my problem with Miami in these moments. The ball always just sticks to someone like glue and they play hero ball and take a bad shot.
The main issue was 13 contested layups or dunks and ZERO foul calls on any of them. A 50-28 Points in the paint advantage and we shot 12 Free Throws. There is an issue with officiating and this team. It's conceivably cost them three games this year already.
We shall see on whether you are right or I am on whether thats a baseline or if thats the high point. Vivek is and can be a huge DMC fan. The problem for Vivek is that DMC is not a huge George Karl fan and hes not a huge Vivek fan. I wish I had something concrete on this one but Im almost sure DMC gets dealt. If I had to make one prediction for this season that would be it. He will not end the season a King. Im not sure there is a player less happy in his situation then he and Caron Butler and no one cares about Butler much at this stage of his career.
I wish he would've resigned with Miami and ended his career there. It was so much fun having him here back in the day. I know he's a shell of his old self but I miss Caron. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
Lebron comes back to Miami with Melo and KD to team up with Dragic, Wade, Bosh and Whiteside. Team wins five champions in a row with Wade retiring after he gets 7 to pass Jordan. Spo surpasses Phil Jackson and is almost G.O.A.T until Pat Riley hands the G.O.A.T status to him. Wade takes a discount. KD joins the super team after being ringless for so long. Melo looks in the mirror and only notices his wedding band. Gives Pat a call. Lebron tried to win it for Cleveland but the team is cursed after their owner denounced Lebron the first time. Bosh and Dragic agree to take pay cuts after their contracts run out to bring in Cousins once he hits free angency. Happy holidays all
And Zinger tried hiding all the way back in Akron on this one. With that said, Knicks should try and trade Melo and expedite building around KP. Dude's going to be great.
Three problems with trading Melo: 1. The raptors have the NYK 1st round pick this year so trading melo and tanking hurts them more then it helps them. 2. Until you get KD (or unless you're sure you can get KD) what major FA is going to want to sign there? 3. Who is going to recruit players for the knicks. Believe it or not Melo is one of the most respected and liked players amongst his peers. I firmly believe that had the Knicks front office not asked LMA to play center that Aldridge would be a Knick today instead of Lopez but Aldridge never wanted to be a center.
Staying away from basketball betting during the holidays... These next two weeks are the worst weeks to bet basketball.
