No it really isn't. There will be far better job opportunities for the quality head coaching candidates elsewhere.

If the Chargers, Giants, Colts, and Titans all have openings after this season, all those jobs will be better than the Dolphins job.

They all have a better QB situation to start with and none of these teams have as many holes to fill as the Dolphins do.

I think it is going to take at least three quality drafts and some solid free agent signings before the Dolphins become a legitimate playoff contender. I see 2018 as the year they might possibly have a winning team.

The next head coach will certainly have his work cut out for him, IMO.

 

I think an actual coach could look at our team. See the terrible playcalling, coordinating, and other ******ed decisions and think to themselves "ya kno, if they're coaches just knew wtf they were doing, they'd have done a lot better".

But alas, we're still the dolphins, so I'm sure we'll hire Todd Haley or something

 

Unfortunately it will not surprise me in the least if the next head coach is more like Philbin than Zimmer. It always seems like Ross prefers to hire those no one else wants to hire, instead of someone who is actually good at his job.

 

I don't think the Jets defense is as good as you think it is. I certainly wouldn't call it scary. They let Brady convert a 4th and long near the end of the 4th quarter and then gave up the tying td on the next play.
