So Chip Kelly is free. I'm by no mean endorsing us going after him. However, Ross is the one in charge and he went after Lazor to run the offense, what's stopping Ross from going after Kelly.

As oc? I'd be worried that he'd run off after a college job after the first season.

i think he is a good coach but he needs a gm to keep him in line, he sucks as a gm.

As a HC, sure. But he shouldn't get much more responsibility than that.

He would probably be the best option TBH.

I'd be cool with as HC. Would be exciting to see his offense in Miami...and no we weren't running Kellys offense already

Yes, without a doubt. Top candidate even. Only as a HC though, cannot give him personnel power.

I'd be interested in him as a head coach if you didn't give him personnel power, and put some sort of buffer between him and the players.

That might be one of the circumstances where I'd be happy with Dan Campbell staying on in a prominent role.

Getting roster control was the worst thing to happen to him. Not sure at all what he was thinking this off season. But he had a very good two years prior. They were fast and exciting and interesting. I think Miller could be even better, and maybe the tempo could do something for Tanne.

Would definitely need a GM though.

Are even we in the "looking for a GM" business? If this is the case, I guess I won't be back on this forum until '18, because rebuilding again just doesn't fly with me.

Who knows. But I would not clear the FO to lure Kelley. Coach = good. Personnel=bad.

Yeah, I think you almost give the FO guys another year. Anyone know what's going on with Hickey? This off-season will be very telling the direction this franchise is going.

Said no one prior to a tough year in 2015. Give me all the chip kellys please. With a good QB in Tannehill, and Tanny in charge of the roster, I'm all about Kelly in Miami...

When you look at all the other options for a new HC, Chip Kelly is hands down the best option.

I don't know how you can look at the two offenses and think they're the same.

Lazor cribbed some elements of the run game and took them back to more traditional roots. The passing game is closer to Al Saunders than Pat Shurmur and classic WCO.

I live in the Philly area and trust me these teams r mirror images of each other. The offense runs same plays that nfl has caught up with.

Always interesting to see a take from an opposing fan. I wonder if you would have said the same last season? To me his failure was personnel not coaching. Bradford is a dud, DeMarco nothing without Dallas OL.

I really think an offense that can get the ball out of Tannes hand fast and maximize Miller is our best shot. Just have him tell the front office what types of players work and then let them pick.

Yes, I want him but without the personnel power. Ryan Tannehill would be a good fit with him. He thrives in the hurry up when he doesn't have to think too much.

Lamar Miller is also perfect for his offense.

    I'm VERY interested.

Not true. There are some pretty significant differences and more importantly, Chip Kelly knows how to adjust to defenses. Something Lazor couldn't do.

Why would anyone want him after he turned that Philly franchise into a dumpster fire in 3 years? He's obviously got a lot going for him as a playcaller, game planner, etc. but the head coach in the NFL is a guy that has to wear a lot of hats. Kelly couldn't win the NFC East, honestly we would have probably won that division, thats how bad it is and he gets fired for literally destroying a roster and team. I don't see how he's a great choice here.

I can see it now. Miami hires Kelly and he brings Mark Sanchez with him. Tannenbaum approves!

As soon as he took control of the franchise he ran it into the ground, its really not a big mystery what happened there.

He just got fired, is this really a big mystery? I'm aware of his success for two years, something happened this last year when he took control. I mean do you realize that the ownership of that team is aware of what he did for two years and just sacked him with a game left? I mean it was like they couldn't stand the sight of him for literally one more week. Something stinks with the guy.

I may have to disagree with you on Murray. While Murray undoubtedly benefited from Dallas' line, Kelly seemingly wanted to run him outside instead of pounding it north and south with him. One has to wonder if he was signed just to keep him off of Dallas? Just speculating.

Why wouldn't he ask for that? If he doesn't get that he'll probably go back to college. I think its the Titans and Mariotta or back to college for him.
