Chip Kelly?? Wth is wrong with some of you? His team is alot more talented than ours and we beat them in Philly. He and his concepts wont work here unless maybe we draft Paxton Lynch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep the league has caught on to his offence.I don't know who the answer is but not this guy. Eagles fans didn't know how good they had it when they ran Andy reid out of town.
I'd damn well take him. He's a mother ****ing pioneer in the NFL. If you want someone who wrote the book on an offense as opposed to someone who followed you hire someone like Chip. His teams were money for the past 2 seasons. There was a ton of upheaval in that organization and they ran him out of town after one lousy year. Damn shame IMO. He has a Bellichick-like ceiling. A true football pioneer that everyone else will stay up at night trying to catch up with. Give him a GM who can scout his types of players, a sports-science guru behind the scenes, and the support of the owner and I'd throw my hat in that ring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This dude won 20 games in two seasons with Nick Foles and Mark Sanchez. Yes, I'll take him sans personnel power.
I'd def go for chip if he's willing to go back to no GM control. His teams were great when he didn't have control, and I've never seen such power go to one's head so quickly. It was legit like he was playing madden.
Jets didn't have their starting rb and that was probably the worst game Fitzpatrick played this year. Let's not get too carried away. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
Even a blind squirrel. He is 7-12 in his last 19 games, has no player skills (Saban), is horrible at adjusting his game plan and is the personification of arrogance without success. Chip the coach is not good as a coach or a person. This year all you heard from opposing defenses and coordinators was that his offense was simple and they kinew the plays as soon as The Eagles lined up. He hung his defense out to dry by his refusal to adjust his offense with constant 3 and outs. His team was undisciplined and unprepared. He has set that franchise back at least 3 years. For every Pats, Bills and Jets win I'll toss you a Skins, Card and Cowboys loss. Watch the Cowboys loss at the beginning of this year and tell me you want this guy.
No way, he's too competitive for that. He will probably end up with the Titans, we do have a chance though and I'm down but obviously no personnel control. He's an innovative man, we could use that considering the joke of a staff we've been burdened with for years now. IMO coaching, not general managing, has been the real deficiency of this team over the past decade generally speaking, Kelly would be a major upgrade.
Yep. Eagles called him in the office and said "Chip!!" "You lost to the Dolphins at home, please take your green playbook and leave" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I get that. But he wasnt fired because he was too succesfull. He was fired because they were underachieving. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not arguing, but I thought he was fired because he did a horrible job as a GM and he didn't like who Laurie wanted to install. Not saying I'm right, just what I heard.
And the ish is starting to come out. Living in the area I got to see more coverage on Chip than some. It' all about to pile on about what he really is. You want this for your team? Personally, I think most Eagles fans are dip****s, albeit passionate and loyal dip****s. Laurie knows this and was smart enough to make the move. This is something Ross doesn't understand. http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/...elly-eagles-jeff-lurie-organization-franchise
He will want control over player transactions. Reports on ESPN is that the reason he was fired at this time in Philly was because the owner wanted to take personnel decisions from him and he was opposed to this change in the power structure. If Kelly stays in the NFL, the only team I see him having any interest in would be the Titans. Given a choice of an up and coming QB in Mariotta, who he could coached at Oregon, or a mediocre Tannehill, the Dolphins have zero chance of hiring Kelly if it were to come down to the Titans and the Dolphins. Also Kelly will want similar control as he had in Philly and that is never going to happen with Tannebaum running the team. When end all is said and done, I believe he will either end up with the Titans in 2016 or he will end up going back to the college game in 2017.
some rumors are that it wasn't about giving up control it was about who the Eagles wanted to put in control.
Whatever the reason might be, I still think he will end up with the Titans or back in college. I just don't see the Dolphins as a legitimate option for Kelly as long as Tannebaum is running the football side of the organization.
Put it in the video tags. It won't show up when you first view it, but it will for everyone else. If you refresh your browser you'll see it.
Do guys really you believe anything these guys say?Nick saban anyone. My bet is kelly gets a huge offer and rolls out of the nfl back where he belongs in college.
He insists that he wants to stay in the NFL. I think his ego is going to be a factor here. My guess is he winds up in Tennessee, but if not, I could definitely see him here.
Lurie wanted him gone so bad he fired him with 2 years left on his contract. If he wanted to he could play golf everyday while collecting his 6.5 mil for the next two years. The players flat out do not like him.
Since I am not enthralled at all with Tannebaum, I really don't think any quality HC will want the Dolphins job. There are much better jobs which will likely be available. I see the Philly job and the Titans jobs as ones which will be of more interest to the better candidates. The Giants and the Chargers will likely be hiring new head coaches and both these jobs will be viewed as better opportunities than the Dolphins job. In fact if the Lions job becomes available, that would likely draw more interest from head coaching candidates than the Dolphins job. Unfortunately I just don't see the Miami job as that enticing. You have an average QB who likely won't be with the team beyond next season. There are numerous holes throughout the roster and any head coach coming in is looking at a minimum 3 year rebuilding job, IMO. I wish I was more positive about the immediate future of this team, but I am not sold on Ross or Tannebaum. I expect the next HC to be a recycled coach like McDaniels or Mangini, or maybe Mora. I am not nearly as high on Shula as you are, but he might be the best they can do, especially with all the possible openings which might be available in the next few weeks. My problem with Tannebaum is I really don't see him as a person who knows talent. He is more a money man who spends a lot of the cap space while he is with a team and leaves it in cap hell once he leaves. The Dolphins were 8-8 the past two seasons with Philbin as the head coach and Tannebaum not in the organization. One year with Tannebaum in charge and this years team is likely to finish 5-11. To me, this organization is headed in the wrong direction under Ross and Tannebaum and I can't see any quality head coaching candidate wanting to come to Mismi and work in what has become a very dysfunctional NFL organization.
Webster is presently the GM, but he is likely out after this season. So right now, no one is really running the football team. Basically the same situation we find ourselves in with the Dolphins. Unless of course you happen to think Tannebaum and Ross actually have a clue when it comes to running an NFL organization. I personally don't think they do.
Ok, but none of that answers the question. You claimed you didn't think Kelly and Tbaum could work together, I'm asking why.
