If Miko shut her mouth Brent might have 1-2 years left to collect a check in the NFL. Now with his declining skills and Miko's mouth, hes done. Good luck getting job coaching a JV team at the 1A level or endorsing a septic tank company.

Everytime she speaks his post playing career earning power takes a hit.

She's been running her mouth/keyboard for years now. This isn't new. The reason it's an issue now is that the team sucks, the QB she's attacking has sucked, and her husband's game fell off...not to mention his contract situation.

While your viewpoint makes sense. Aren't you just as guilty in keeping this matter alive? Because I haven't gone past the first page of comments and I have already read three of your posts on this topic.

If we were really about ignoring her, no one would even click on to this post to see the latest on this wacko.

Nah. I honestly have no idea what she says until people start crying in here because I don't follow her or read stories about her (still haven't btw). If one person agrees with me that didn't before it was worth it.

Shes in the news, is a local radio personality, is in every major media outlet, all with the Dolphins tag over it. Of course we are going to pay attention, its more stupidity that embarasses the franchise. First getting arrested right after a loss and then saying despicable things about a Dolphins player and the fans.

And believe me unless Grimes is possessed/under a spell, hes going to protect his career over some rat he found in some alley..

those two should be tied together. You discipline her by dumping her sorry ***. yes, she'll rape him for alimony, but you take away her podium which would ruin her. Without being married to a probowl CB, she's just a stupid, loud mouth, idiot of a woman who know one will interact with except maybe Omar's dumbass

    Are you really serious?

A teammate's wife is publicly criticizing the QB on our team and going leaps and bounds to divide the locker room. She's had about a dozen tweets calling the QB a bum, no good, etc, etc. This has now garnered NATIONAL attention, and it's not because the people on this message board click on her links. This would garner National attention if any spouse of any athlete did this.

It's a huge distraction and could snowball out of control. The awkwardness this situation creates in the locker room is so unnecessary.

Brent really needs to get this under control (And no man, I don't mean he needs to physically abuse her). So you can spare me your 1950s rebuttal. Stop acting like this is only a big deal because we make it a big deal.

I swear you guys are ridiculous.

Do you have any idea how the effing media works? They go with stories that get clicks or sell papers/magazines/etc. If you all stop clicking this crap, they'll stop posting it because it won't get them clicks.

    She's not media though

She's the wife of our star DB!

I'm amazed you're not getting this. These types of things rip families apart. If my brother or sister found out my wife said nasty things about them it would have the potential to destroy the relationship. How is this idea foreign to you? This goes beyond reading her story, clicking her links, or following her on twitter. These opinions of hers, whether read by 1 million people or just 1 will get around somehow. They did, and it now creates a terrible atmosphere in the locker room whether you wanna believe it or not

That all ended when 560 WQAM gave her a ****ing radio show with Omar Kelly. It's like they popped a blimp of AIDS over the South Florida airwaves and tried to destory the entire geography.

But honestly, if Brent isnt telling her to stfu, then there is some truth to what he feels/shes saying....and if thats the case, get rid of the slipping, can't cover, overpaid, short bum of a cornerback. He's overrated.

She has 3 platforms: social media, the radio, the local media.

If you don't seek her out on social media you'll have no idea what she's saying.

So that leaves her radio show and the local media.

Ask yourself why she has a show? Because people pay attention to her, if the ratings dip, she'll no longer have a show. Same goes for the local media, if people stop reading about her, they'll stop doing stories on her. You act like the local sports news is a fact finding entity from the golden era of journalism. Its not. They are entertainment now. Outside of Barry Jackson, its all commentary which is not news but entertainment. They are business selling advertising space. that advertising space is only valuable if people visit their site or read their paper.

You people need to stop being emotional and just think medium hard about why she got a radio show in the first place if I'm wrong.

How do you suppose she got that show? Was it because, I dunno, the powers that be on that station saw she can generate interest? Do you think if people ignored her she'd have gotten the show?

You were in radio, do ratings matter?

How does a story gain traction if people don't care about it? What in the hell do you think traction is exactly?

And ftr, I meant to say "how is saying stop following Miko and Miko related stories not calling for a sea change".

Ever hear the saying, "Can two walk together except they be agreed?" That's what I think about Miko and Brent. How could you stay with someone as ridiculous as she is, unless you agree with what she says and does. Further, if you disagree with her, and you have to keep going to her, and ask her to stop with these crazy antics, and she doesn't, how long could you stay with her? At some point, I would think, the lack of respect and decency of her to stop doing things that embarrass her husband, and the complete lack of respect it would show to continously do things he's asked her not to do, would cause a chasm too big in their marriage to repair.

But, it doesn't seem there's a chasm. But maybe they're better at keeping their dirty laundry in house than they are with keeping the team's dirty laundry in house.

I honestly think you're oversimplifying things in their relationship. I also think you're understating the way the entertainment industry works nowadays.

She's trying to make a name for herself. She chose the outlandish path to achieve that goal. She's hardly the first of course. In an era where the Real Housewives & Basketball Wives "reality" shows encourage women to be trashy trainwrecks (on one of these or a similar show a woman pulled a tampon out of herself and threw it at another woman during an argument) and in turn get multi show deals and clothing/food/jewelry/etc. lines...she's just a product of the generation.

As I said before, we can't really control Brent or Miko or even the team, all we can do is control our own actions. I know some people on here think Miko has magical powers that make her relevant even if no one paid her any attention, but those people, whoever they may be, are knuckle dragging idiots.

Take Omar. We all dislike him because he's full of crap and horrible at what we think his job is. Yet he's still employed. Why? Because his job isn't to give us news that's accurate or analysis that makes sense, its to get traffic to his paper. By being wrong and ridiculous, he does that very well, because people get pissed share links to his articles or tweets which gets people to the site or at worst, is free advertising for the paper.

If people quit clicking Omar's stories and following his tweets, he'd lose his job because he'd no longer be good at what he gets paid for....getting hits. This is no different with Miko.

It's not over simplified. You think that she is making rational, calculated choices. I don't. I think they're irrational, booze-fueled rants. I also don't think you stay with someone doing those things unless you agree with them.

Look, I know people do ridiculous things for attention. I hate the reality TV world we live in, that rewards people for this stuff. Doesn't mean I have to agree with people who do or say ridiculous things to try to get attention.

Also, like I said, the only details I know are the ones that get posted on this site. I don't click on links about her, don't listen to her show, and don't follow her on social media.

I don't think the things she says are calculated, I think the decision to remove her filters are calculated. Does that make sense?

Don't misunderstand, I'm not defending her words or her actions, I just think the only way to stop her is to stop paying her attention and that we don't know what internal struggle os going on in their marriage if any. And, at the end of day, all she's really doing is talking **** about her husband's co-worker. This isn't marriage, career or life threatening stuff.

I understand what you're trying to say but things aren't that simple. You telling TP.com to stop clicking on her stories is a drop in the ocean... this story would still gain traction even if no one on this forum sought out Miko-related news. As was stated before, the fact that she has been saying things about Tannehill gets people interested to know more, sadly, whether they be Miami Dolphins fans or not. We human beings are inclined to like chaos, there's really nothing we can do about that.

I'm not gettting into this part of the argument. What I'm saying is that this story about Miko bad-mouthing the organization will spread whether we like it or not. And if you want to actively convince people to change their natural behaviour (beyond this site), you can go ahead and try, but you're going to face an uphill battle haha.

I shouldn't type on my phone while waiting on the check.

    Let me rephrase.

If humans can't help themselves around chaos, why should Miko or Grimes be able to help themselves around chaos? In other words, if people can't help themselves watching it, why should they help themselves creating it?

Every person is in control of their actions (barring legit medical issues), saying we're human and we tend to X action or can't help Y action is an excuse to justify whatever behavior we do but won't stop or vice versa.

Its human nature to be violent, but that doesn't we can't stop ourselves from being violent, for example.

So let them. I'd still fine him for it then cut him just to make a point. Its not the first time so at this point it can be construed as a habititual thing that shes making a headache for the team. If they were smart they would have started to document tbeir argument long ago but they have no cajones so I'm sure they didnt.

That warning should have been given long ago. This isn't the first time she's run her mouth at the expense of the team. If only Lauren was more hood we could have a great opportunity for a chick fight!

No but it's ok to tell your spouse when they're out of line. And he has failed on multiple occasions to do that. He says that her opinions are solely hers but by accepting her opinions at the expense of the team he's enabling it. It's like saying if she had a drug problem it's solely hers but you see it happening and not calling the rehab center except that this affects other people outside the Grimes household. I can accept Grimes deterioration as a player who is 32 but that combined with his wife's big mouth that no one wants to hear or read makes him intolerable.

This. And that 's what disciplining means in this context, letting her know that her behavior is wrong, out of line, damaging to both of them as per Brent's work place and will not be tolerated. Nothing that a wife wouldn't or couldn't do to a husband if the situation warranted it.

One of the most frustrating aspects of this whole story is Grimes' "what, who me?" attitude to what's going on. Not my opinion, not my responsibility, don't bother me with this, I honestly don't understand why you're asking me about my wife's opinions. Bull s***- she's leaving fart trails of ill will on that team and airing out dirty laundry for the world to see. My guess is that in most business/corporate situations he would have been advised (gently, because of the omnipresent threat of a lawsuit) to tell his wife to shut the h*** up. But Grimes' blase' attitude to the whole mess, plus his huge salary, plus his spotty to sh***y play this year, equals one thing- don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya. If it was possible to save money by cutting Grimes now before the Pats game, if I was Ross I would have already done it. The two of them make me sick.
