Guys I like the best are Hue Jackson, John Harbaugh, Chip Kelly, Adam Gase and...ah screw it I'll toss in a Gus Malzahn to round out the five even tho there is no indication he would leave for Miami.

The lukewarm list includes the likes of Chuck Pagano, Vic Fangio and Mike Shanahan. Todd Haley, Sean Payton and Mike Shula...meh.

IMO, seven or eight of those are easily better than anyone we've had since Saban, with the potential to be the best we've had this century. Thats both a knock on our past as well as a good feeling about who we'll be able to hire.

Meh, listen Im not sold on HUE but the article is disgusting. So because he's black we should hire him? No thanks sorry Political correctness should be tossed right out the door it's so annoying. Should he be interviewed? SURE and if he is the best man for the job than he should be hired based on that and that alone not because we need a black coach to appease anyone and have it be another PR Move.

Just remember, just because a guy was great at a position (and **** anyone who doesn't think ZT was great, he belongs in the HoF dammit) doesn't mean he'd be a good coach.

Totally agree, but with Zach, he always seemed like a guy who truely loved football and wanted it. He obviously got by on smarts and preperation as much or moreso than his physical skills, plus he was born filthy rich and still worked his tail off to get every ounce out of himself as a football player. Even after his playing career, he didn't have the kind of money his dad did.

Also, thats why I said assistant LB coach. Nothing to lose by letting him start there and prove what he's got.

I agree that no one should be hired based on race or skin color. I personally just don't care about his race and like Jackson as a coach. He's also very smart and good with the media, which is a bonus, and would be a huge change from everyone we've had starting with Saban.

I agree. I haven't read anything about him demanding that this go around. If he is, then no way, but I'll give him a pass until its shown otherwise. No one who's a realistic option to be hired this offseason deserves that kind of power.

I don't care what color his skin is, as long as he's good.

Of course, I said the same thing about Obama.

    Ugh.

If Lane Kiffen even gets a position as the assistant landscaper in Davie, I just may have to stop watching altogether.

Harbaugh would be a great guy for the job but there doesn't seem to be a vibe around here that his job's in jeopardy. At least not in local media or even from fans.

I don't want any part of him either. College OC is his peak level, IMO, and I don't like the guy at all.

He has burned bridges everywhere he's been in college. An NFL locker room would assassinate him.

I went to U. of Tennessee for two years and still have friends in Knoxville. They seriously wanted to murder the dude. Hate and rage aren't strong enough terms.

    Here and there
I can't point at one guy and say "that's who I want" I just don't see a clear choice. I don't get the Shula love other than some fans think it would be cool to have another Shula. Watch the Panthers and tell me who runs that offense. It certainly isn't Mike Shula. Hue Jackson, ehh. Mike Shannahan hasn't been relevant in 15 years. Mora Jr. Was sort of successful in Atlanta. I could go on but, ehhh.
