Someone tape Stephen Ross' mouth shut so he doesn't extend Campbell in the locker room after the game

Every team passed on Collins because he requested to not to be drafted until he had his ducks in a row.
With this win, we're probably out of the Goff sweepstakes. Lynch disappointed against Auburn's lousy D and will have to get another look. I don't really like Cook much. Outside of Brissett being available in the 3rd or so, we're probably not going to make a serious attempt to bolster the QB position. I personally think Brissett is a first round talent so I consider him a serious attempt. Considering we're going to have Tannehill as the incumbent starter next season, O-Line is priority 1. We didn't even have a good O-Line performance today and Tannehill did well. I'm still in the "we can do better" camp but if Tannehill can acquit himself this well over the balance of next season then we're going to be a competitive team.
Well, it's been anything but a celebratory season, but I've enjoyed spending it with each of you. Let the offseason begin.
Not fully. He threatened to re-enter the draft this year. Their reasoning is that if they're not getting first round money, they want to pick where they land. There was no strategic reason for a team to not draft Collins in the 5th or later. If he gets indicted, it's a fifth rounder. If he re-enters the draft, it's a fifth rounder. If he plays for you, he's a draft steal. There was literally no reason to listen to Collins and his camp on that.
Tannehill's season stats: 363/586 - 62% completion 4208 passing yards 24 TDs 12 interceptions 7.2 YPA 88.7 passer rating Obviously while it would have been nice to see a rise in TDs and passer rating, he did have some improvement in YPA (6.9 to 7.2). If we can surround Tannehill with a good OL and give him an adequate coaching staff, I still think he has room for growth and is capable of leading us at least to the playoffs, maybe even take us farther.
You like the guy, we understand that. In reality, Tannehill never showed that much command of the team and offense this season. He wasn't a 112.8 rated passer, he didn't complete 66% of his passes, and he didn't torch the Patriots at all. Let's all just meet in the middle ground. This game got him over 4,000 yards which is a positive but he still makes mistakes too often. We can't really get out from under him next season so let's just be hopeful he plays this well all season.
Exactly what I'm afraid of... http://www.thephins.com/forums/showthread.php?88223-Beware-Emotional-Stephen-Ross-Decisions
seriously? you want to waste a 1st on a QB? how is that going to fix the OL, DL, LB'ers, CB's, and S?
Awesome win! Parker looked good, Tannehill played well, and no choking at the end! To hell with draft position!!!!!!!
Hoping we have a game on the 18th in September at home. I'll be in Vero Beach. Only watched them beat the snot out of New York Giants back during the Williams show back in New York. Would love to see them at home!
Please just stop it. You're telling me he's the same QB today as he's been all year? Please just put me on the ignore list. I'm tired of your ridiculous Tannehill replies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You hate the guy, we understand that. In reality his numbers are very similar to last year, with a far worse O line. And that IS consistency. Fix the line, fix the offense. Just make them OK and we will be fine.
FWIW, Tannehill showed signs of things slowing down for him this game... his play had somewhat of a veteran look to it. What he needs to do is pull together a string of games like this next season, starting in the beginning. He needs consistency. Hopefully the FO and the coaching staff give him all the tools to be succesful next season. I wouldn't be opposed to bring in a young QB in the later rounds of the draft, though. Moore's contract is running out and we don't have a developmental QB on the roster right now.
Pretty spectacular when you consider that this is the most dysfunctional team ive witnessed in all my years. This organization has failed him in so many instances.
