Well, I can't get the pics to post for some reason , so here is the link http://www.firstshowing.net/2007/08/16/holy-frickin-dark-knight-tons-of-new-batman-and-joker-photos/
Iron Man is a much simpler movie. It's a lot of fun, has a really cool and charismatic character and really nothing else. The plot just isnt nearly as complex as TDK, which makes one movie a summer blockbuster action movie, and the other something more. My rankings would be 1. TDK 2. Batman Begins 3. Iron Man 4. The Hulk (new one of course) 5. X2 6. Spiderman 2 7. Xmen 8. Spiderman 9. who cares 10. who cares
Agree with your description of Iron Man. I also agree with you rankings. I was going to do my own now there's no need.
Well since everyone else is doing rankings I guess I'll give it a go. 1. The Dark Knight 2. Spiderman 2 3. Batman Begins 4. X2 5. Iron Man
See, I guess I am just partial to the FIRST story that sets the tempo for all other sequels to follow. That's why I lean toward Begins over TDK, and would put Spiderman 1 over any other Spidy storyline, same with X-men, etc. For similar reasons of quality of story and freshness I put Iron Man ahead of TDK as well.
Myself the reason why I like the 2's is the fact that the sequel generally isn't bogged down with the origin story. The 2nd one they can really dive in the characters and the universe. I just wish they would stop effing up the 3rd one
I really liked the Punisher as well. But I could have done without alot of the corniness of it, ala the geeky neighbors.
OT: Kinda...Just got the "Gotham Knight" Cartoon DVD. Great animation. The story is pretty interesting as well.
Monday Movie Buzz: Bale's Batman voice too much? http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/ap/20080803/121779624000.html
I agree the voice can be offputting. But that may be the point. We've covered it in this thread somewhere, but essentially its to hide his normal voice and to strike fear into people. If a guy walked into a bank with a gun and calmly told them to give him the money it wouldn't be as frightening as if he loudly screamed "Give me the money!".
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the...pup_the_bat_still_going_strong_three_weeks_in Still going pretty strong.
Underrated movie IMO, I liked it a lot. It was actually a very good film adaption of the character. I think people that are just passing fans of comics might not know this character or care about him. Its been a very good year for comic characters, TDK, Iron Man, The Hulk, etc, but I still love the Punisher movie as well. Was really disappointed that they have a different cast for the next one.
I'm seeing it again this weekend with my family. I convinced them they need to do their part help TDK overtake Titanic!
Yeah I'm trying to do the same. Trying to get my mom out to see it. And if Titanic can win all the Oscars it did I don't see why TDK shouldn't at lest get some nominations.
After finally seeing this movie last night I must say it was worth the wait. Heath was as good as advertised. His character will go down as one of the greatest psycho killers in movie history. The "magic trick" at the beginning and the hospital scene towards the end were my two favorite 'Joker' scenes. Best $9 Ive spent in a long time.
It's just a fan made poster I found out there. I thought it was pretty cool looking. I think they could do alot of things with a villian like the riddler and make him more believable such as the other characters in this series. To jump back on the previous topic of who would be a good villian in the next movie I'll throw my opinion out there that Daniel Craig (the new Bond) could make a cool riddler.
Article on IGN says they are targeting Johnny Depp to play the Riddler and Phillip Seymour Hoffman to play the penguin.
They need to get some hot chick for once. Catwoman would've been ideal as a way to introduce a romantic foil for a grieving Bruce Wayne who's still coming to terms with Dawes' death. And show some skin...
Two scenes that I like and may be overlooked by many is when the Joker is on the news with the fake Batman. The other scene while no dialogue I think it shows how crazy the Joker really is, when he is hanging out of the police car window after esacping from the police station. I thought that was a great scene.
