Again, when you're 8th in the league in pass attempts you better be throwing for 4k yards. Oh btw, only 3 of the 12 players who threw for 4,000+ are going to the playoffs.

Touting passing yards is such standard fare. It's for box score readers.

I didn't actually. Six of those guys were sacked 35 times or more, where-as you were attempting to make it sound like 4,000+ yards was a Miracle on 34th Street.

Let me try something more elementary for you. First off, yes a good qb would've made a difference. Not the difference between a super bowl and 6-10 but a difference indeed. Do you seriously think all qbs are equal behind a poor line? A better qb easily could've made a difference in 2-5 games. A good qb would've been the difference between the playoffs in thills 2nd and 3rd seasons. I tell you what, let's just draft/sign 53 offense linemen..mkay?

Maybe you should explain what point it is he missed. Your response makes you look like you have no valid point so when he punches holes in it you can go to your "you missed the point" routine. If you had a good point I'm sure you would've told him. Carry on..

Reach much? I've never even hinted at thill being the only problem with this team. Or that it's not a team game lmao. My stance is pretty simple for anyone with common sense who watches this team every week. Thill is part of the problem and if you get the chance to improve at qb, you do it. You don't pass on a stud qb if there happens to be one available because of tannehill. You definitely aren't the only one who thinks it's all the oline s fault. Maybe you've forgotten its a team sport. Get back to me when you have something of substance instead of reaching and putting words in my mouth.

This it takes time to throw down field is crap argument too. Run a slant or a seam and you can get 20 yards pretty darn quick.

We all have. The coaches have, the players have, the QB does... I don't understand why we can't draft a young stud Guard from somewhere. Why can other teams find them? Every year it it the same patch-work stuf... like putting a bandaid on a bleeding jugular.

The Pats were scrimmaging against us, especially in the 1st half. It was a scrimmage to Bellichicken rather than a regular season game. So you are spot on. But it was still nice to beat those evil bastids!

And yet those plays weren't in our playbook. How many times did we run that stupid freaking WR screen? Drove me nuts every time Lazor called that!

No, you never hinted that Tannehill was the only problem on our team. You did all but come right out and say he was the only problem. All you kept ranting and raving about was Tannehill this and Tannehill that.

No, actually I didn't. I said you draft the stud about if he's there. I also said this team has bigger problems than just coaching and oline like you seem to think. The entire defense outside of Jones, Suh and Jenkins needs upgrading. The entire offense outside of rb and wr needs upgrading. The quickedt, most effective way to mask all those issues is a stud qb however not a guard. Does that mean our line is fine? No. It means we need both not just one. Just so happens most people disagree with your stance that a qb is no more important than a guard or punter. :wink2:

Yes, but is that Tannehills fault? Or coaching? I know the answer and it's not the QB

I'm tired of the "our defense is total crap" statement. New England scored 10 pts. I'd like to see upgrades like anyone else, but the implication is that they're helpless. Any fan knows that the defense wears down after so many plays, so many 3 and outs from our offense.

Before the season started, I kept saying that I don't want Suh to do stupid things and get thrown out of games, but I would like to see him hurt Brady. :pointlol:

He's neither the main solution nor the main problem. He's simply a mediocre QB with measureables whom occasionally "flashes", but inevitably comes back down to average (especially in pivotal moments of games/seasons).

Agreed. The defense played better than the offense this year. Our passing game was bottom of the barrel but hey we threw for four thousand yards!

What seems like common sense to us is seen as ranting and raving apparently. It gets old when someone's only response is to stretch the truth and put words in your mouth. Apparently stating your opinion that the Dolphins would be wise to draft a stud qb if one is there for the taking is ranting and raving and putting all the blame on thill. And I'm the one who is like talking to a brick wall. Funny. Can't wait to see the excuses next year. Better yet, I hope the thill blind homers are right. It'd be nice to actually have a playmaker at qb. Someone who helped us win games instead of simply not being the teams biggest problem. Bar is set awfully high with some fin fans.

Just because our defense played better than our offense(barely BTW) does not mean they were not terrible... Because they were.. One of the worst we have had in a long time. So was our offense.. Both terrible.. But under no circumstances should anyone prop up this defense as anything but horrible.. This was the side of the ball that was supposed to be the strength.. Greatly disappointing.

That's the biggest problem right there.

But yes, the excuses will remain constant. There will always be a theoretical "adjustment" to be made, which provides false hope for the future.

    Defense bad b/c Offense bad
Offense bad b/c bad play calls and OL ONE OF WORST IN LEAGUE
Defense bad b/c can not stop run and not so good against pass either
Offense bad b/c playing from behind b/c defense bad
Defense bad b/c offense playing from behind

All boils down to OL to me (#2, which is what our OL is by the way)

Fix it JUST ONE TIME and alot of our problems MAY be solved... we have never had a chance to see in like 20+ years.

    @#$#@*%^#@

Yes, I know. Can you name one legit attempt to fix it? I must have missed that year. I don't mean patchwork deals... I want a couple of big, mean OL that can play. What would be our reason not to take the top-rated OG in the draft this year in the First RD? Heck, sign another if FA if available. I don't understand why we barely try... EVERY year. Use ALL the resourse available to at least give it a shot. It couldn't be worse than to keep drafting (sometimes moving up) to get maybe-good rated players for the defense. We have tried that... over and over.

this year they did not, however in the past they most certainly have. Long, Pouncy, RT dude.... signed that guy from the Raiders that ended up sucking. signed Albert.... They have drafted a ton of guards.

The dude from the Raiders was Jake Grove, and that same year Justin Smiley at G, right along the same track as Albert, talented injury prone Olinemen.
