Idc what you want to believe. I know the truth, as I keep saying, its not a debate for me anymore, Tannehill is average and overpaid and thats that. I dont see him as our franchise QB or long term future and I feel pretty strong with my opinion that after next season Tannehill wont be here anymore.

I think if you have the same efficiency on more attempts, you are doing better at something.

I also don't think 37% is a bad completion % for throws of 20+ yards.

Do you happen to know where in the league that % ranks? Could you post a screencap of the listing? I'd appreciate it.

The look of the deep ball improved. Not sure if his accuracy did. Last I checked a few games left it was roughly the same

Let's clarify this for a second here, donkey. You dont know the truth. You know your opinion

That's about all we need to hear from you. Regardless of what side of this debate you are on, don't come here claiming to know the truth about the QB's mindset.

    Unbelievable.

League average 41.2%, standard deviation 7.1%, Tannehill in 24th percentile, ranked 16th of the 22 QBs who threw at least 50% of their team's passes in 2015.

Fine to have an opinion, but damn you are really confident in this assessment. I'd put Tannehill being off the team at like 30-40% or so. What will YOU do if you're wrong?

I'll be here, however, most of you fail to admit I was right when I said last offseason that when Tannehill underachieved yet again, that all of you would come out usong the same excuses as always, which is spot on.

    They're not excuses, btw. They're reasons. There's a difference.

Yes they are, if you want me to show you, I will gladly pull it up. "Hes still developing" despite him being close to 30, and that excuse being used every offseason he has been here. The OL, yes Dallas Thomas and Fox are horrible but every team has OL like Thomas and Fox on it, most of you probably watch purely Miami games, I watch the NFL in general.

All in all, I wish we drafted Russell Wilson instead of this average QB we have now.

Im just in waiting mode one last year for Tannehill to let you guys down and then I can watch these forums flood with tears from the homers who struggle seeing Tannehill for what he is.... an overpaid, mediocre QB who gets coaches and players fired.

Am I making excuses for Tannehill underperforming? I also predicted he would be barely top 10. You do understand what the words "all" and "everyone" mean right? And I'm not the only one.

Where does everyone think he played, this year. Not where you would take him, not where you think he needs to be. But how he played, this year.

Saying he needed time to develop, or that his development was hindered, is not saying he needs time to develop. He's 28. Give the 30 stuff a break.

The "excuses", add you call them, come when people like you complain about "winning."

Keep spouting your "truth." If Tannehill is gone next year, so be it. It won't mean that his development was handled well here, nor will it mean that the team was average because of him.

After last year I had #13, I think he got leaped by 7-8 QBs so I would probably have him #20-22 this year.

The issue IMO is that to be highly competitive in the league, you need either top-notch QB play, or an unlikely assemblage of talent around at least an average to above-average QB.

IMO this year Tannehill was at the average to slightly below-average level individually, and so that level of play forces the team, to be highly competitive in the league, to accomplish the unlikely personnel feat of surrounding him with an exceptional degree of talent almost completely across the board, elsewhere on the team.

15-20. At best average, more like slightly below average. I know it seems like he did a bad job but when ranking QB's you gotta look at other QB's too, and there were many that played worse.

He played poorly overall. He showed me a little more at the end of the season in the way of being more decisive and not playing scared.

But like the entire team i refuse to be excited anymore until i see some consistent improvements and the ability to MAKE PLAYS! You need a playmaker at the QB position unless you surround him with a very good team around him.

    Wait and see time.

I did see a big difference from him in his ability to react to pressure with movement and extend plays with his feet. IMO that's been the huge missing piece of his game, and it did improve late in the season.
