Well, If the Knicks face the Warriors in the finals they will need to defend the 3 ball a little better.
Tell you what... we look good (we look good). Felt like we really played *our game* tonight vs a solid ATL team. Dictated and did what we wanted. Very promising stuff, getting contributions from all over this roster. The depth is finally starting to feel like what it looks like on paper. I fear some tough Whiteside debates when he returns. Amar'e has been giving great minutes especially in the PnR, and the space around the rim with Bosh at the 5 has seemed to open up a more dynamic offense. Could be a real conundrum here after the AS break.

Well I said they had to go 8-9 in January to keep pace with keeping a top 4 seed and challenging for #2. Well, they went 9-8, and are in the #3 seed, but the #2 seed is gonna be tough to catch, but Toronto has that and we own them for whatever reason. They just can;t beat us when we are healthy. Looking good, but issues remain, and that one is a 7'-1" 275 lb. one. Gotta figure out how to incorporate Whiteside. Amare Stoudemire has been magnificent (not hyperbole), but you gotta figure, how long that is gonna last. Funny thing is that he is actually playing average defense, great offense, and his floor game is insane. His floor game is what Whiteside does not not provide. A good screen, perfect rolls to the basket, good passing, recognizing play calls and executing. This is why Pat Riley likes old guys. They just KNOW how to play basketball, and sometimes that alone is underrated. Gotta finish strong going into the all-star break.
Tyler Johnson is going to have surgery to repair his Shoulder issue. He is OUT for 2 months. This means that Beno Udrich has to continue to play well as the backup PG.
Do you think Whiteside will ever fit? I love the guy, but it seems like the offense (and probably the defense as well) has to change so much when he's out there. If he's a square peg in a round hole, do you try and trade him to a contender (or a team like LA that has a good chance of re-signing him) and see what you can get for him?
I think you explore it...but be weary of this offseason. There is a good chance that he DOES not get a max deal. Other teams know what we know. BTW, Dwyane Wade was named EC player of the week.....runner up? Lebron James. hehe. in the WC? Future Wade teammate Kevin Durant.
Ethan is going to talk about it today...but I think you MUST consider this. Simply put...Start Amare..Use Whiteside off the bench. This frees up the other 4 starters to play off of Amare, makes them much more useful, since there isn't a high usage center in there clogging up space.....and the flip side is that you use Whiteside to destroy NBA second units. You can even RIDE, and have Hassan carry you for 6 minutes at a time with the second unit.
Truth be told..I produce a ton of content nobody ever knows about. LOL And have had stolen from me a ton of ideas. Remember when NFL Network had famous actors from each city their games were in narrate an open with video? I sent that to CBS like 10 years ago. Funny how when CBS entered into a partnership with NFL Network...it shows up.
That should obviously place the Heat near the top of his list. If it's all about winning, the Warriors are the easy choice. Unless there is a chemistry issue, or a significant injury, they would probably see very little competition. Durant, however, has seen first-hand what Riley can do as he was on the other side of the Big 3's first title. He would also know that the path to the finals is easier in the East. I still think it's a long shot, but I can't rule anything out with Riles.
Yes. My calculator says they have to renounce Barnes, and Ezeli, possibly amnesty Iggy or Bogut for depth issues, have Durant take less, and then when they sign Curry the following year, they will be using Bird Rights only and become a heavy Tax team for first time in team history. Do the math. They have, and will likely will do so again and sign Barnes at Mini-Max and keep themselves a No-Tax team. I am sure Riley has plan B, C, D, and E.
Doesn't really make much sense for his legacy to go to GS. Think about it...even when Lebron came here he was joining a team that wasn't already established. He was trying to build his own legacy in some sense even though people called it the "easy way". If he REALLY cares about legacy it makes more sense to build a powerhouse that knocks the king off of the mountain.
Horford & Batum seem more realistic and maybe better, anyway. I'll admit I'm sort of obsessed with the idea that Bosh is best utilized at the 5 but Horford and he would be so interchangeable and devastating on defense. Batum keeps the defense but adds some shooting. Dragic Winslow Batum Bosh Horford And then Wade in a Manu role? Lordy.
And I guess Horford is (somewhat) available? ATL is open to hearing offers, I guess. That guy can PLAY. Underrated, imo, one of the better two-way bigs with an all-around game.
If legacy is the most important thing, then yes, you're right. Unlike LeBron, Durant will probably always be the second best player on his team unless something goes horribly wrong for Curry. If it's about winning titles, though, then they could probably win several in a row.
I don't think that would be very shocking. In fact, if I were giving odds, that would be the favorite.
Knicks can't be losing games like that at home....it was a test against a middle of the road playoff team and they failed. Need some sort of a trade or the playoffs aren't happening.
Amare Stoudemire did have another double-double with 14 and 10 and had 4 dunks huh? That guy is on that good HGH. Gotta salvage this texas trip tonight.
He was at 20.40 in PER last season in New York and Dallas. Found it weird that he wasn't able to find minutes early in the season. When we signed him I was expecting him to eat a good bit of minutes. Better late than never I guess. How about that Marcus Thornton guy by the way. Guy can shoot the **** out of a basketball.
Grain of salt but according to Chris Sheridan Celtics and Rockets have spoken about a Dwight Howard deal. Important to note Howard can opt at year's end.
If they are dumb enough to give up Isaiah Thomas for him, I'd make that trade in a heartbeat. Harden needs a true sidekick. It's a damn shame the Rockets are wasting this great season from him.
I don't think you're getting that much (Thomas) who is basically proving to be an all star PG. If you walked away with Lee's expiring, Avery Bradley, Olynyk and one of the Nets 1sts that they owe Boston that might be a strong haul.
They won't get that for Dwight. Think Olynyk, Bradley and contract trash. Dwight is as good as gone at seasons end. Those 1st rounders are untouchable. They are the key to Boston improving the team through trade. NOBODY goes to Boston as a Free Agent. Nobody.
