So you don't need great QB play...

For the record, I know everyone loves these mobile QBs, but for what is worth, I prefer a standard pocket passer. Once a mobile QB ages, and loses some of that speed and lateral agility, they can't be as effective. Your window for using these mobile QBS is usually smaller. I'd prefer to a Rivers over a Cam.

I also prefer a standard pocket passer.

However I cannot discount Cam's ability to run when talking about him at quarterback.

He already has more rushing touchdowns than any quarterback in history.

I would take Cam over Rivers. Mostly because I am not a fan of River's personality.

No doubt, man. Like I said, for me, if he can maintain the type of play this season over multiple seasons, he'll be elite, in my mind.

But I'm nobody, so, whatever. Haha

The way OL's are trending down in this day and age, you better have a QB who is mobile or atleast moves well in the pocket.

You seem to be very critical of Cam, he needs a few MVP years to prove he's elite?

How many years does Tanne need to produce at a high level before you consider him a franchise QB?

Yeah. You want to be elite? Then be consistently elite. Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Manning (for most of his career). There are only a couple elite QBS, imo, in the league.

I said he's good, and has the potential to be elite. That's being "very critical?"

"Very critical" is what you guys do with Tannehill all the time.

Honestly, looking at what Tanny has accomplished in his career.....most people are not as anxious to give a top 7 pick who has a 100M contract with rare signs of consistency as much benefit of the doubt as some of you.

So you cant really blame anyone who thknks Ryan has underachieved thus far.

Very critical is saying he needs a few MVP type seasons to become elite.

So I ask again, how many season does Tanne have to produce at a franchise level to be considered a franchise QB?

He already is a franchise QB. Well at least that is the opinion of Phil Simms, and many other knowledgeable football men who actually know and played the sport and know what they are talking about. A team like the Eagles doesn't have a franchise QB, which is why a top HC candidate (what our real problem has been) chose us over them. The amount of stupidity on this site is unbearable, I don't know how reasonable people like Resnor deal with these morons in such a respectful manor, I couldn't so I'm gone. Off to bleedinggreennation, it ain't about the Dolphins but at least they keep it real and don't have moronic fake fans that constantly biitch about their team without offering any real solutions to improve it LMFAO! What a coincidence I got booted again after the shhit NFC did another epic failure in the SB, BAHAHAHAHAHA. I was right, NFC sucks, I win biitches!!!!!

Well, you can turn that around and say many are not anxious to doubt his consistency when he hasn't had a good chance to be consistant because of crappy OL and crappy coaching/play-calling.

Yet Fin-O tells me to get my head out of Tannehill's lap but he's still cool. Enjoy your "community" lol. You called our D a joke after that performance against the Ravens, great fan you are. Our D was beating their whole team 14-3 at the half, loser. I'll be back when I want, like now for example.

A lot of these arguments come down to semantics. If "elite" means one of the top two QBs in the league, then I agree, Cam Newton isn't elite. I would define elite a little more broadly. But it's not as if there's a correct NFL-approved definition of elite that everyone has to follow.

Hey Finster, I'm still here, you're wrong again. Remind me again why you believe Damian Williams has more potential to be an every down back compared to Lamar Miller. Yeeeaaaa, you sure understand football lol.

All you do is complain about the Dolphins, you aren't even a real fan in any sense of the word, you're just an idiot who believes Damian Williams has (now had) more potential than Lamar Miller lol.

LOL, how am I "wrong again", when did I say you will be gone off this site? It's YOU who said that, but that obviously wasn't true, because here you are showing your "spots".

Never said that about Williams, all I said was that he is PHYSICALLY the best RB we have on the team, so we should give him a chance.

Starting to suspect that we can't rely on your input here as being truthful, lol.

Naw dude, you definitely said because of his hands and what not he could/will be a better every down back than Lamar. You were wrong and now you're backtracking because you realize how stupid that sounds now lol. Kind of like JDang with Matty average, he was a lot more vocal abut how Elite Ryan was at 5-0 compared to now, I wonder why that is. I also wonder if he still says comparing Tannehill to Wilson is like comparing chicken liver to steak, after that playoff performance lol. He never even should have beat GB last year either. This site has a lot of low football IQ's like yourself, glad I could expose that truth. Now I'm done, for now.......

Let's see what happens when they play next year. Maybe Tannehill beats him again. How about those first half performances by Wilson against GB and CAR, yeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Defense and ST couldn't bail him out this time, pity that.

Well, Tannehill crumbled and put up 7 and 0 points back in 2013 in crucial games to get to playoffs, I wish I could say he crumbled in the playoffs but Tannehill has never gotten there like Wilson has so many times.

As if Queasy Joe doesn't deserve any blame for that, Tanny also wasn't a very experienced QB at that point in time. Now we have a very bright HC, things will change. What about how well Tannehill played against GB last, and how f****** pathetic Wilson was in that first half. It's ONLY because of that D and dropped onside kick did they advance. Tanny played a better game against GB last year than Wilson. I'm not saying Tanny is better but it's not that big a difference. Keep hoping for Tannehill to f*** up in the playoffs, great fan you are. You fit right in on this site lmao!

Joe Philbin. It's like, you all don't get how bad he was. I knew he should have been gone 3 years ago lol, after the first collapse, as did Ireland. Dude was clueless, Tanny needed Gase and he got him. Can't wait for 2016 to start!

Tanne seems to be very needy, after year 1, he "needed" new WRs, got em, same results. After year 2, he "needed" new OL and OC, got em, same results. After year 3, he "needed" new OL and new "weapons" again, got em, same results. Now after year 4, he "needs" new Coaching Staff and OL still. All these moving parts every year but same results and im supposed to think this overpaid guy who has accomplished absolutely NOTHING in the NFL is the answer? FOH

He just needed a good HC. People like yourself and many on this site don't understand the value of that in this sport and how bad Queasy really was. You'll learn soon, and after my ban I'll be back, to make you all eat crow.

You guys act like Tannehill was trash each of these years. He hasn't been. He's been pretty good. Granted, not good enough to elevate a bad team to the playoffs, which is why the oline and defense is such a problem.

Never said you liked him, just said you don't understand the value/importance of a good HC in this sport. Imo, Gase turns this whole thing around because we have the talent, Tannehill in particular to thrive under a competent HC. We will find out soon. And it's not that he's a scapegoat, it's more a realization that he just couldn't coach. Tough for a QB with 19 college starts to thrive with an incompetent HC in this league. The tools are there though, Gase knows that and that's all that matters now.
