And Marino only started 9 games (with 2 more appearances in relief of Woodley). Marino probably would of thrown close to 80 TD's in his first two seasons if he started the entire 83 season. Cam Newton had 62 total TD's in his first two seasons, which is far more impressive than Carr, IMO.

No question. A rating in the 90's was pretty damn good, John Elway had ONE 4k yard season his entire career. Thats when the rules were fair, you were allowed t breathe on the WR and if you took a helmet to the chin in the pocket? So friggin be it.

Yeah, there'll be passing records being broken at a good rate for a while because of all the rule changes to protect the QBs and WRs, especially the QBs though, it is truly a different era.

About 1000 yds and 10 TDs is the amount "better" passing stats have become, iow, for the most part QBs are passing for 1000 more yds and 10 more TDs than was the case when Dan was drafted, so 3000yds back then is 4000 now, and Dan was tied for 11th in the league with 20 TDs, that was good enough for 20th in 2015.

However, inside all of this there is one point that is impressive for Carr, he had a great sophomore season, very impressive imo.

Ofcourse, like 4k yards..... A 90 Qb rating means nothing now either....zero indication as to the quality of play.... Right ?

You are missing the point. There is a reason these milestones are not what they used to be...and naturally I never said it was ZERO indication of anything. You threw that in because you are salty some truth has been added to something you likely try and brag to your friends about in regards to Miami's questions at QB.

A 90 rating would land you 20th in the league in 2015, in 1983 that would have put you at 8th.

Also, no one said "zero indication".
