If you're not giving anything valuable up outside of Whiteside I actually wouldn't mind it. I think Howard is a better fit than Whiteside.
From a Houston guy. This makes sense, I think...though there must be more pieces/picks going to ATL and even HOU. We're clear winners here lol. A Bosh-Horford frontline would be filthy. Adam Spolane @AdamSpolane I'm told Rockets, Heat, Hawks discussing 3-way. Howard to ATL, Horford and Teague to Mia, Dragic and Whteside, Anderson to Hou.
No idea who this guy is or if he has any credibility but he followed up saying ATL wants Winslow who Riley so far has been unwilling to trade
Heat are indeed in talks to acquire Al Horford. and Yes, teams have inquired on Dragic, and the Heat are listening. Nothing more "concrete".
The only reason I can come up with is because Riley said so. Other than that im not sure why Atlanta would do that deal.. Honestly if you take away Teague and give us Korver instead, id still love it.. We are desperate for a shooter like him.
Al Horford would be a really nice return. Teague AND Horford would be pretty amazing even if you lose Dragic in the process. I wouldn't trade Winslow for that, though.
Not quite sure unless they LOVE Howard. I'm sure they would probably get back more picks or something.
Definitely an upgrade from what Howard is giving you. I agree with what Section said though, one game you're going to be like HOLY F WHITESIDE IS A BEAST!!!! Then he will be so quiet for the next 1-2-3 games you'l be like....uhhh where did he go?
Houston is perfect for whiteside, the strong locker room presence of harden and lawson will keep him commited
You haven't been looking hard enough. And I'm not talking about Melo's career D other than to say he was average. NBA stats are very difficult for me to legitimize at this point because many of them are extremely inaccurate due to the difficulty of tracking them because of the way moves. http://www.wsj.com/articles/anthony-is-among-nbas-best-defenders-but-are-the-number-lying-1450226443 In 2013 and 2014 seasons he was also a top 10 Post Defender and top Iso defender....and even stats like those I question.
@MikeAScott : Multiple sources around the NBA tell me Chris Bosh's situation is much worse than people are being made aware of. No idea if this guy knows anything but thought I'd share.
Right now it's just some random If it was clots he'd be in the hospital, not hanging out at the all star game
I have a good idea of what is going on. It is being disputed by some that it is a blood clot. He is to have treatment tomorrow.
Barry Jackson now reporting the team has seriousl health concerns and that it may be another clot Oy If it happened again this might be it for Bosh. Not sure it's worth it to continue
Read the Barry Jackson report. http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sports-buzz/ A lot of twitter morons being very irresponsible. Even if he has a clot, he is NOT required to have blood thinners for life (even though Ira Winderman says that Bosh told him he would), and it is NOT career threatening. But everybody reads a few things and thinks they are a doctor. Twitter has been dreadful today, and that is part of the reason I have no desire to ever work as a "journalist". We literally have two guys worth a **** in the entire market. Ethan Skolnick and Chris Perkins.
Twitter made me laugh. Tim Reynolds said Josh McRoberts last year and this year were both injured in the same time frame and one guy replied with.. @ByTimReynolds please just shoot me if the next step is signing Henry Walker
If he's had an iffy calf for a while, last year's clots could have come from there as well. Even minor leg injuries can lead to that. I would guess that's what they're looking into - whether that's the origin of both clotting issues. This episode doesn't seem as severe as the last one. I'm not an expert or anything, but that's my understanding of it via some second-hand experience. Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be as terrible as it sounds. I guess the career-related question at this point is blood thinners. Damn...Bosh is the man.
New Orleans is making their entire team available. Except for AD of course. If the Heat make all the trades they are discussing, they can have around 5 new players. They are working the big "names" as well as 3 and D guys.
Likelihood is that the recommendation will be a regiment of meds for Bosh that will keep him out 4 to 6 weeks. That is from a Medical source of mine.
It is my understanding that having blood clots one time makes you exponentially more likely to have them again.
ONLY if you have the hereditary gene. Bosh does not have it. The odds of this happening to Bosh again is 1 out of 100 patients while off his meds (he was off his meds). While on Meds the chances are minuscule as to not even be calculated.
Any names you can disclose? Looking at the Pelicans roster Ryan Anderson would be an obvious choice. If Tyreke Evans were healthy, he might be an interesting name, but he's out for the year. Not sure that Jrue Holiday would help unless Dragic is traded.
Got a feeling we wont mke any moves.. Would love to trade Whiteside but i just dont see a deal that will be done. Him not having bird rights is the hige negative.
See, I feel the opposite. I feel like we're very likely to be active. The makeup of this roster is begging for some tweaks and movement. I do wonder how all of this with Bosh affects any of their plans, or affects any of the talks they've been in. Sounds like best-case scenario, he's out for a month+. To say nothing about worst-case, it's gonna be real tough gunning for that 3-seed this year without our best player.
Tim reynolds reports, Bosh is back on Thinners, and plans on playing again this season. 29 games left. 17-12 gets us the #3 seed by my calculation. Gotta make a trade to replace Bosh as much as we can to pull this off.
