I'm definitely all for the releasing of most if not all of the above mentioned players. Without a restructure on a few contracts, which I tend to think will happen with Cameron and Wake, there is no evidence to keep these players. However, I don't understand the concept of making Miller a major concern in free agency this year. He is an outstanding young back with loads of potential, but he is out of our price range, and there are more pressing issues like shoring up the line on both sides of the ball. This makes Vernon IMO a more valuable target for this team filling a bigger hole on the team especially if Wake ends up leaving.
The way Vance talks about Grimes, I think they try to keep him. He's the only decent corner Miami has, even when he plays 'slip and fall' football.
I would take keeping him over bringing in Pachead Jones. Would rather draft a couple (maybe even Ramsey CB/S) and one or two in FA we be ok.
- Dolphins are one of the Youngest Teams in the NFL. Top 5. - The majority of our best players are not over 30. * Best Running Back - L. Miller (Under 30) * Best OL - M. Pouncey (Under 30) * Best WR - J. Landry (Under 30) * Best Pass Rusher - (Under 30) * Best DT - (Under 30) * Best LB - (Under 30) * QB - (Under 30) * Best TE - (Under 30) * Best DB and likely Best Player Period - Reshad Jones (Under 30)
I also think they should keep Grimes. He had his down moments this past season, but this team isn't exactly loaded with quality DBs. I think he can still be solid.
