Where I'm from, they call that an oxymoron.
We're seeing the Dragic, Deng and McBob that I hoped for when we signed these guys. Wade is my favorite athlete of all time, but I think he needs to adapt to this team. Otherwise he's an impediment.
Wade just needs to play off the ball more. Let Dragic penetrate and create. Wade should be cutting to the basket looking for a dish, or get on some pick and rolls with Dragic. Same with Bosh. And this fast pace system is Spo's system. This is how he likes to run his team... But Bosh and Wade demand too many isos at the top of the key..
i hope Wade is back tomorrow. Would like a win against the Pacers as i do not see us winning on Wednesday when Golden State comes to Miami.
On the topic of Westbrook: http://fivethirtyeight.com/features...snt-supposed-to-get-better-than-kevin-durant/ I remember when I was crucified by one or two people for making this claim after last season.
As for the highlights, these last ones got taken down. I'll try to download them and mirror them next time just in case.
There have been some stretches where he looked like the best player in the league. Its not a knock on Durant to say Westbrook might be better, Westbrook is really that good of a player.
Clevland is going to blow through the East...here in about a month its time to ensure health. Nobody wants to watch LBJ and 4 guys who wouldnt get 20 min a night for 80% of the playoff teams, bs GS or SA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Still lots of time left before playoffs and two of their three best guys are as injury prone as it gets. But yeah i think they will easily walk in the Finals too. the east is just so weak.
More than anything I would just like to see two good teams at full strength. With this years Warrior team?? That group of scrubs with Lebron that took the court in the finals last June?? Would get swept 4-0 with an avg margin somewhere in the 20's. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wade is moving my affection meter wildly right now, sheesh. Bad possession leads to a block, shakes free and hits the go-ahead FT's, fouls Ellis on the last possession. Thankfully Ellis missed one.
Side Note: Myles Turner is going to be a good utility player in the NBA for a number of years. He played really well in the Summer League and has good Per 36 numbers. If he can keep that efficiency at higher usage, he could be a star.
Boston, Indiana (thankfully), and Atlanta all lose tonight. Miami jumps to 3rd in the East. Somehow manage to beat GSW and that's the best stretch of the season. If we can continue to make some noise, free agency just might well go our way.
Heat beat them the last time they played them...Jan.4th in that epic OT game. So that's 2 OT wins in a row
And I still haven't seen it. Because somehow I am the ONLY Tampa Electric customer without power. Power went out at like 9pm.
Yeah, he was a guy I was really interested in during the draft process. I think he could be really good. The big knock on him was the way he ran. Not that he was slow, but specifically his gait, which sounds like a ridiculous scouting thing. I'm very happy with Winslow, but I'm still kind of curious who they would have taken if he was off the board. Odds would have to be on Turner or Booker, who both look pretty good. Maybe Section knows the answer to that question.
He's changed the way he shoots them. Instead of shooting flat footed, he steps back a bit and shoots them like a jump shot. He realized he's a decent jump shooter, so he'd give it a try. They said on the broadcast the other day that apparently someone from Marshall did that a while back and Whiteside had heard about it.
That game was a roller coaster. Dragic and Whiteside were good throughout, but most everybody else couldn't hit a shot. Nobody could hit a three. Deng was great at everything else though. Maybe I haven't been paying attention. but I can't recall the last time we out-rebounded a team by +20. I was also impressed with Winslow at the line. He may be a 70% FT shooter, but he looked like a 90% guy at the end of the game. The shots just looked smooth and confident to me. I had no doubt he would make them. The announcers did say that his FT percentage at the end of games was higher.
Going into last night I wasn't sure the success of the faster pace and new rotation was just a result of going against teams that were playing poorly. But last night we got it done against a well-coached team that plays good defense. And that with Wade shooting 4/21. Very encouraging. The big negative imo was Gerald Green, man, what is going on there. We're missing TJ! Some rookie praise... We'll see how Wed goes. Not sure we want to play as fast against the Dubs. That may not end well. But coming out of the break I thought it was possible we could go 1-4 or 2-3. Let's go.

I have a big fancy battery backup for my computer but it lasts only three minutes, long enough for you to save your data and power down.
He's also taking less time before he shoots them. That should help him keep his mechanics going off muscle memory. Seemed like before he was a 50% guy and now he's a 60% guy. That can be the difference between Hackassan or no Hackassan.
