getting a little disappointed with the segment here... theyre talking too much BS and going to to many commercials.. (Didnt they just go to commercial)
Thinks there's not going to be sorta interest in Pennington, with other teams looking Chad will want a chance to compete to start. No just brining in for a look. Thinks Long is ready to be a run blocker but not yet a pass blocker. Big and powerful, but caught on bull rushers. Has taken steps to get good leverage being 6'7" tall. Need to get low in the rear... commercial time
Thomas looking good, knows he was very physical in college but didn't know if he could translate in to pro. But he seems to be doing it. Apparently our TC has been very physical so far. Camp battles of note: OLB opposite of Joey porter. 2-3 guys could be in that spot. Keith Davis on: Smooth transistion, knows how they like to run things. Knew he was going to fit in, didn't know who was still going ot be around during offseason activities, you better be actually hurt if your in the training room. No minor stuff, you deal with it and get ready to go. Acknowledges Bell is the guy and will do whatever the coaches want of him, in terms of safety play. Says Ginn is looking good. Route running by GInn is looking more crisper than last year, and he's not scared to go up over the middle. KD: On Ginn, Becoming smarter finding ways to get open instead of continueing to run the route into coverage.
haha Keith Davis is pretty funny. edit: Called Jayson Foster a Daunte Hall and kept seeing that jitterbug has juice. lol.
KD : Really suprised how much ricky has in the tank, he's been unreal in camp working hard. Considers it exciting for a new dolphins era, a new beggining. KD on Foster: Thinks he's a jitterbug, who is comparable to "Daunte Hall". Catches ball well, runs well, really excited about him. KD Done. SMiley , Fasano coming on
Smiley and Fasano on together: JS: Felt it was special to be a parcell's guy. Using every second available to work. Looking at the little things at camp, coaches working on hand placement, footing, fine details. Where before it was more cover this guy, don't forget about this guy. Thinks its great and in the long run important. JS: with 2 tight ends its going to be a big run game. AF: Guys are there to run a 2 TE set. Thinks the phins got a good deal for a 4th rd pick to the boys'. ON Merling and Langford... Kendal is big, Merling is physical, Dotson has played very well being a late round pick. The system fits both these guys. Channing is always bringing the heat. Feel good about the LB's. how to read ricky and ronnie's running styles and anticpating how they tend to run. Both guys are ready to lower the boom on guys even in tight spaces.
this has been a great afternoon. The Jake Long/Chad Henne interview was good listening, its nice to just put on sirius NFL and just listen to dolphins talk all afternoon. fantastic stuff here! I got sirius free for a year when i leased my new car... Im probably going to renew and pay next year just for NFL radio...
To close the show, Pat Kirwin just stated that Miami has an attainable, realistic shot at an 8- 8 record...........this year. I would be content with that.
Is it me or... McCowns Favorite target is Hagan. Becks is Kircus. Henne's is TG? Maybe its me...but every time i see those receivers catching balls, its mainly from those specific qbs.
Hardcore sports is teh only sports media i actually enjoy listening to, sports rage at night is awesome. They jsut tell it how it is, which is so refreshing. And it has the ticker! But yeah when its phins talk on the NFL channel, its great stuff. I was listening online at work this aft.
