From PFF: According to multiple reports, the team has signed Isa Abdul-Quddus shortly after the league officially opened for business on Wednesday afternoon. Abdul-Quddus played in every game for the Lions over the last two seasons and started 12 times. He had 57 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble last season. Abdul Quddus joins Reshad Jones, Walt Aikens and the re-signed Michael Thomas at safety in Miami. Jones will start at one spot, leaving the other options to compete for the job next to him in the secondary.
I like him. Has come along really well in his career. Had a strong finish as a starter last season. I know some Lions fans who are pissed they didn't re-sign him.
Many holes to fill and they are doing it. Let's hope they're the right choices. Wish they would find a Guard at a minimum for depth.
It's still possible to find a guard before the draft. I have to think they are looking for one before drafting one later.
I don't know much about him but here's the comments sec from PFT http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/03/09/dolphins-nab-isa-abdul-quddus/#comments I like: "tarniman says: Mar 9, 2016 6:04 PM Good signing the one I like the most so far….he is only 26. He played in the box last year at strong saftey but has a history at FS" "jongrudenstolemypatiofurniture says: Mar 9, 2016 4:58 PM Sad to see him go from the Lions. He was solid." "VenerableAxiom says: Mar 9, 2016 4:59 PM Abdul-Quddus actually stepped in nicely as an eight-game starter for the Lions last season, grading out as Pro Football Focus’ No. 1 overall safety from Week 10 on after replacing SS James Ihedigbo in the starting lineup. Not a big name, but a quality signing."
like this move better than alot of others. Young still has upside, solid defensive player who will contribute to the team!!!
