Man these forums have become toxic. I remember a day when we could all have our own opinions. Anyway back on topic. Any word on if Denver is going to match? When is the drop dead date / time they have to do this? I think its 5 days which would be today no? PS I like the CJ anderson signing. We lost miller end of story so we have a replacement. I believe AJ is going to be the stud anyway and CJ will be a good player for the style of bruising offense we want to play. This is my opinion which may not be the same as yours no need to get angry were all rooting for the Miami Dolphins to win / get better. Stop acting like JETS fans..
I agree with you Dorfdad. It's unfortunate too. Saw this update on Rotoworld: http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/333058/details-emerge-on-cj-anderson-offer?ls=rotoEN:topheadlines And, this is their source: http://www.9news.com/sports/to-match-or-not-to-match-only-two-nfl-running-backs-will-get-more-2016-pay-than-cj-anderson/80770847
Wow I agree besides the first year sting and it's not really we were going to pay that for miller had we kept him it's a very friendly deal for a top level RB. Denver should match they have the money, but I hope they dont. I think hes a steal at that price for 4 years of service.
This thread reminds me of children yelling at each other,"My Father can beat up you father"- rinse and repeat
Here is the deal we only have a microcosm of CJ since he was injured at start of last year and split time with others. In his previous year he was a very good back. I say he was an 7.5/10 I think here he will be an 8.5
How does him being hurt help his cause? As far as im concerned he is injury prone, guy only been around for 2 seasons in which both seasons he played really only half a season despite the fact he only missed one game last year... He was "hurt" and Ronnie Hillman was outrunning hin for a large portion of last year. He is a 6/10 in my book and i think im being generous with the 6. We let an underutilized 9/10 walk because we chose to throw the ball almost every play to justify Tannehills wild contract. Lamar goes to a better situation, I expect him to do great, meanwhile, CJ goes from a great OL and the football I.Q. of Peyton Manning to a terrible OL with no smarts like Peyton Manning. I just dont see the excitement.
7 would be Devonta, Ivory, McCoy 8 would be Jamal Charles, Gurley 9 would be Leveon Bell, Adrian Peterson Honestly dont think Miller is more talented than Karlos Williams but eh, i was never that impressed with him and ive stayed consistent about that. Id still take Forte over Miller and CJ.
6.5 from what I've seen. I like him and Ajayi. We need to be more efficient in the passing game and be balanced. We don't have to be world beaters on the ground but it's paramount we are at least above avg. Use play-action and take some shots 20-30 yards downfield.
With our offensive line, Adrian Peterson would only rank a 3 out of 10! A great offensive line can make even a mediocre running back look like a superstar and unless that is addressed...
The Broncos are just making us wait, out of frustration ! Things haven't exactly unfolded well for them in free agency. They expected to lose a handful of quality starters. Cj anderson was someone they could have easily kept. They should match at this point, but would be admitting a bad mistake in doing so. So that's why I they're just going to let the clock run out, instead of gracefully declining.
They're probably negotiating with forte and foster. It may be if they can agree on one of them they will let Anderson go but if they cant theyllmatch
Foster would be logical with the Kubiak connection, but his health has been a huge issue for a few years now. Complimentary back at this point.

It's not like the draft isn't deep at RB. Anderson was undrafted after all. The real loser is Elway, who just made the Sanchize the defacto starter in Denver. It would have been nice to get Anderson, but now we've got a little extra cap space.
So the Dolphins basically shut down free agency for 5 days missing out on signing a corner like Heyward or Carroll among other positions when they really didn't even need to and it was all for nothing.
Fine.. I'll take a SB win and a team after that with Sanchez. You'd take a great QB with no SB win. At least that's the only way to interpret your response given what I said. We simply disagree on how important SB's are then.
