No, I am not really a fan of his as I don't have confidence in his adjustments and his strategies. Case in point, he setup the team perfectly for Arsenal to allow for their increased possession of the ball but absolutely failed in game planning for the WHU match. Nothing out wide, nothing to account for the fact that we had almost complete possession of the ball. Last year, for a couple months in Jan/Feb he got lucky and had a formation (Diamond) that worked, but once it was figured we went backwards and 6-1 to Stoke!!!

I am glad we did get as much money as we did, but again we had a great talent trying to get the hell out of L'Pool, that is coaching and confidence in said coaching to actually win titles and CL. Something that they don't have in BR.

Great service, and I get to watch all the matches anywhere I am now! Stream it from Apple Tv to my TV when it isn't on NBCSN or NBC, MAGIC!

I honestly think that was our intention in that match going in... and once we gave up a goal, the floodgates opened up as usual. That Benteke goal was still incredible though. Disappointing overall... disappointing that we couldn't keep the lead yesterday in the Europa match. BR treated is like a reserve game though (as he probably should) and that the pressure is on this Sunday v Norwich City. This team is so much better in the final third with Coutinho on the field. Thank you captain obvious.... but it highlights our issues when he's not on the field and how we haven't developed that player behind him. For all the crap I give Lallana, he had a decent couple of chances yesterday and should probably be playing ahead of Firmino at this point in the regular XI.

Huge win yesterday. Sturridge with two great goals. Much needed. I thought Lucas was very very good as well. Yes it was nervey at the end... Wondering if there isn't some parallel to this season with the Dolphins. Well, we'll find out today vs the Bills won't we? Hmmm...

yeah, I just found out bro. Talk about nuts. I thought they played okay today except for not holding the lead. I don't think today's outcome played a part. Apparently Rodgers said something after the game about the brass not giving him a top 4 ultimatum this year. Opps... there's obviously more to the story. How crazy would it be if BR and Philbin are sacked within 24 hours of each other? Wow wow wow.

Gomez and Ings lost for the year due to ACLs. Man. Sucks. Ings was really coming on i thought. His game is similar to Suarez.

Well that was as fun of a 0-0 game as you'll ever see. That first half was brilliant, Liverpool started strong, Spurs rebounded with some chances. Mignolet and Sakho were immense. 2nd half was a bit of a stale mate although Ibe coming on re-energized the attack. Almost expected us to pull out the victory there at the end. Would have been glorious. Heroic stuff at times though, all things considered. Klopp's impact was immediate. Emre Can has found himself.

Parallel that with our Dolphins tomorrow and I think we're gonna kick the crap out of the Titans. It'll be interesting regardless.

That was a great weekend of football. Klopp's addition has already shown a spark, losing Ings was awful and not having Sturridge (again!!) and Benteke, certainly handicapped us, but finally we get to blood Ogiri and finally Can in his proper place!! That was the Can i wanted to see when he joined 'Pool!

And Dan the man Campbell! What more can I say for a first match!!!

What a HUGE win... I don't care that Chelsea is in a rut. That was a season defining win for LFC. To go down 0-1 on the road at Stamford Bridge and live to tell about it is immense. With their fans singing Steve Gerrard stepped on his **** and lost in the first half... only to have us come back and kick their ***. So gratifying. Supposedly Chelsea is going to keep Mourinho. As they should. But Klopp has been everything as advertised. What an addition.

And what a starting XI. Firmino up front.. Him/Mlner/Coutinho had a great string to setup the first goal. Quick passes... and then magical from #10. Finishing on his weaker left like that. Splendid goal. Benteke was huge in the 2nd half after he came on. Skrtel had a great game... as did Sakho. Great team win. Top 4? I'd say it's 50/50. They need to go on their annual January run.

Everything you withness at the moment was one of the reasons why so many Borussia Dortmund fans were crushed that he decided to leave the team at the end of last year.

Klopp knows this game like no other. He is motivating his squad to do things they didn't do with Rodgers as the head coach. Just look at stats like distance covered, succesful passes etc.

Tremendous result @ Man City. Yes they arent the same without Kompany and Silva but LFC have seen their share of injuries too. Really cant be overstated how much of an impact Klopp has had. Hope Coutinho isnt out long because he and Firmino have been clicking in the final third. Lallana has looked like a different player lately as well. Tremendous team football from all eleven players

Certainly rather talk about these guys than anything else at the moment. If u catch my drift.

Great match. It seemed that everything that Klopp has been trying to implement with the pressing fell into place. We certainly were winning the ball back a lot with all the pressing, but had failed to do much with it in the past few weeks. Saturday they did the most with winning the ball back and converting them into dangerous chances.

As for Countinho, they still haven't sent him for a scan which to me is a silver lining. If they thought it was super serious he would have had one on Saturday. Here's to hoping Klopp is correct and it was just some cramping.

Tough loss yesterday on the road against an inferior team. I think Lee Dixon (in the booth for NBCSN) was right when he said that LFC won't high press against teams that don't want to possess the ball (due to their lack of skill). if you high press them, they'll just kick it long and look to get behind you with their speed. Newcastle is a perfect example. So too was Crystal Palace. Those teams want to counter attack you as well. I think we missed Coutinho in a match like that. I also think once we got down 1-0 it's pretty much over. Damn flukey own goal.

We need to learn to win against this type of opponent. Strangely, we do better against better teams. Or so it seems.

yeesh... that was for me a terrible weekend for my sports teams.... LA Kings and Dolphins spanked. LFC frankly embarrassed. Started off with a terrible drop by the GK... yeah the ball is kicked out of his hands, but he shouldn't have dropped it to begin with. This team really struggles when they don't score first. Thought that might have changed under Klopp, but it's rearing its ugly head again. Will be interesting to see what if any additions are made in the January window. I think we need at least another player with speed that can get down the flanks.

On that note, how about Brad Smith? He had some wonderful crosses the last game he started. Color me intrigued by his offensive ability.

Not looking like any deadline day incoming deals today. Jose Enrique may be headed to Newcastle though. A lot of the big clubs have been very quiet. Steven Caulker was our "big" move and it's just a loan deal. Don't know much about Marko Grujic. But he's been loaned back anyway. Teixeira looks to be waiting until the summer if at all.

Frankly with all the injuries, it's been a chore not to go out and push the panic button. But supposedly we're getting Skrtel, Coutinho, Origi and even Sturridge back this week.

Has been interesting to watch the young guys playing in the last few FA Cup matches. Cameron Brannagan has played very well and looks to be the next great young player to work his way thru the ranks. Sheyi Ojo intrigues me greatly.

On the downside. Ibe and Benteke. Well, Benteke looks to me like he's pressing, trying to do too much. He's lacking confidence after missing some easy breakaway chances. Ibe... my goodness, it seems like every time he touches the ball in the final third it leads to a turnover.

Jose Enrique not heading to Newcastle. But he'll likely leave in the summer. That reminds me, his dead ball free kick when he came on vs West Ham at the end was literally the worst free kick I've seen in a while with the game on the line in a 0-0 game. Going back, he was always a fairly decent player... very strong on the ball. But his FK's.. could be better.

Wellll... I think that's pretty much the top four gone. Still lots to look forward to... with Europa, FA and League cups remaining... but the last of the BPL schedule is all about finding out what we have going forward into next season. Anxious to see what Klopp can bring in in the summer. Certainly.

Been an odd four days... drawing vs a bottom three contender after being up two goals is definitely a low... losing to WH in the FA cup replay 2-1 doesn't capture the positivity that comes out of that game from seeing Sturridge and Coutinho back in action. Going with the three strikers in the 2nd half (Benteke/Sturridge/Origi) was definitely odd. We really missed someone to link the front line... although when Sturridge dropped into midfield he was pretty dynamic there. Also, a bit relieved now as that should free up some time from the crazy hectic schedule.

Oh and Ilori is the future at centre back. While Ibe is really really struggling.

If only we could play Villa every game. Although, without a healthy Coutinho/Sturridge I somehow think it would have been a lot closer. It's too bad the Capital 1 Cup doesn't get us into the Champions' League. Winning the Europa league does though :shifty:

I don't understand how Coutinho is left off the Brasil squad to be honest. It has to be something political in his background... I don't know. Because it sure as hell isn't based on his skill level.

Firmino is really starting to light up in front of the goal. It is nice to see Sturridge play in consecutive matches without coming up with another nick that keeps him out for months at a time. They are starting to string together wins which is nice at this point of the year. If we can continue this streak of in form matches, Europa is again in our sights. And if City continue

De Gea is simply amazing to watch, wish he was our keeper. To endure the transfer on/off again with Real Madrid before the season and to come out and have the type of season he is having is amazing, hats off to him. Though since I know we are out of the league title, I'm simply rooting for Leicester to prove everyone wrong and take away the title. 5,000-1 odds to start the season, never will there have been a greater underdog doing the impossible.

yeah ditto on Leicester... it's really incredible the run they've been on... they were bottom three bound last season... went on a run to get out of that and it hasn't stopped. Can't help but pull for them. Plus who wants any of the other teams to win the league?

LFC... great game last night against Man U. Coutinho's goal was just ridiculous. How he is not playing for Brasil continues to amaze me. Can we win the Europa? hmmm... lets see who we pair up with for the quarters. Going to be sick if it's BD. Can we get top 4? Hmmm... It's all there to play for in the next couple of months. Just hope we can stay healthy thru it all because the depth behind Coutinho and Sturridge (as examples) isn't there.

Edit.. and it's gonna be Borussia Dortmund. Yeah, that wasn't fixed or anything.

I think its great getting Dortmund this round. More than likely would meet them in the final if we avoid drawing them in the last 4. With it being the round of 8, if they can advance and defeat Dortmund it will give them a huge boost of confidence to run the tables and win the Europa.

I think the teams form the last few weeks has just been getting steadily better and consistent unlike earlier in the season. I think realisticly both the Europa and a top 4 are easily in reach if we can stay healthy, but lose Coutinho or Sturridge and its game over for us.

Well that is any chance at the top four gone. Crushing loss up two at half to lose it. Defensive choke job. Skrtl not ready i guess. He brought him on for Lovren because of his yellow. Just didnt look match fit. Win Europa or bust now.

Top 4 is still possible. With a game in hand that helps a lot. What it does mean though is we can't slip up anymore. If we win our game in hand we are only 4 points behind 4th.

Crushing defeat today, to have such a dominant first half and to go on to lose. The Allen goal that was disallowed was prolly the right call with how the new offsides work but damn I had a feeling it was going to bite us in the ***. I still question subbing Lovern off for Skertl who hasn't seen action in a while. Maybe it was to get an idea if he should start him for Dortmund is all I can think Klopp was thinking. Even questioning the defensive sub the offense did not come close to playing how they did in the first half.

I think the black cloud that was following Lovren around last season is now hovering over Benteke. How many goals has he missed this year? That breakaway miss was brutal.

Klopp said he took Lovren off because he was on a yellow. I actually think that was the right play. But he misread Skrtls match fitness.

Oh that ENG vs GER friendly... If you haven't seen it, just go watch it.

I know it's just a friendly but the England side looks so much sharper than Germany (even as they went down 0-2). This side is deep too. You can bring in a Vardy and Barkley, that's good stuff. Can't remember a side this deep in a while, at least on the attacking end. Vardy's finish was sublime.

What a great first half, free flowing attacking football from both sides. Nice to have gotten one away goal, and Origi almost made it two, goalie put himself in such a great position to defend that shot. Think the defense is doing okay, Sakho is either the hero or the goat on some of his plays so far this first half.

Looks like Dejan Lovren will miss the entire euro 2016 after Ante Cacic refused to accept Lovren's play me or lose me ultimatum. Things got a little ugly between the two as Cacic reportedly saying “In Croatia's locker room there is no place for ultimatums, there should be respect for the Croatian jersey, team-mates and coach.”

One of the greatest comebacks ever. And Lovren of all people to cap it off. I was going to come in here and complain about how Milner couldnt take the place of Hendo as a DM but alas. The comebacks this season have been amazing. Klopps energy cannot be overstated. Just lifts the team all the time its quite something. Black cloud officially lifted from Lovren.

    Think i lost my voice.

Wouldnt mind a couple of those BD players headed our way in the summer. Maybe they will be extra intrigued to join now.

eh.. and then they give up another 2 goal lead yesterday vs Newcastle. Admittedly with not their "Best" 11. Looks like Sakho is going to be out with a suspension for a while. We're without Hendo and Can (and Origi) for Villareal and the Europa League semis. We need to focus on those now for a shot at getting into the Champions League next season. It's not going to be easy. The magic that is Klopp could pull it off though perhaps?

Not even thinking about next year at the moment.

ugh... well that doesn't really change anything. but to lose it late and go down 0-1 is disappointing. If Coutinho is injured (he was subbed at half time), that's gonna be one injury too much.
