Dominating this 3rd Q after a flat first half. Good stuff. But, of course, ****ing Atlanta is taking it to the Raps right now. Damnit.
^ i logged on to post something to that effect. Good bye Bulls. Gone fishing before the reg season even finished
Now with their season officially over, any chance the Bulls get a call from the Dolphins inquiring about Josh McDermott? That kid can tackle, and we're short linebackers.
You guys gotta check out the series of snaps Wade has put up on the plane to Orlando. (you can check it on twitter) He gives out nicknames to his teammates.
Closing lineup last night had JRich in for Dragic. I have a feeling we'll see more of this come playoff time as well. The issue with Dragic-Wade-Joe is that you're missing a bigtime defender who can lock up multiple positions 1-on-1. The starters are decent defensively, but in the NBA you need that gamechanging guy out there down the stretch, imo, who's a big plus against the opposing closer. You could see the length advantage and ability to switch more comfortably in crunchtime last night. I expect to keep seeing this substitution, or maybe even using Winslow depending on the opponent. Though Goran can get the offense humming, Wade and Joe are damn good options for initiating offense and closing the deal.
Nope. He wants to play. he can play. Team won't clear him if he still has thinners in his system. The time for the thinners to be out of his system is sometime during the first round.
So based on that information, it would seem that if Miami wins their 1st round series, it seems like Bosh would be likely to play in round 2?
And just as importantly, is this why Section126 thinks we should bet the Heat until they get to the ECFs? Is he baking in a little 2nd round Bosh magic?
Thanks. Dragic, Wade, Johnson, Deng and Whiteside: Only 40 minutes in that lineup but +25.2 on a per 48 minute basis. Scoring 122.5 points per game even with 30% three point shooting. This would suggest that perhaps Spo is just being stubborn playing this game where Whiteside doesn't start but does get starters' minutes. Just have him start the game over Stoudemire. He's played the way you want him to play. He's not eligible for the 6th man award. Reward him. One look at his face at the beginning of games tells you he's not enjoying the fact that he doesn't come out with the starting lineup.
He's a Phi Slamma Jamma. I like this version. The one Section126 posted was doctored for effect. This one is closer to what people in the stands saw/felt: https://vine.co/v/iIVewKPlWwD
I was about to post about that just now going through SC stories. Pretty funny that even Amare can laugh at himself with "Bionic Man" as his nickname. There is a special comraderie with this team that is different than any of the big 3 years. This team is much more like family. Granted we were better back then but you can see the relationship is much different and healthier.
****ing back to backs. If it wasn't tonight, it was gonna be Wednesday at Boston. - sent via Tapatalk -
I agree. Who would we face if we get past the hawks 1st round? We wouldnt have home court vs them anyway, right? Plus, atlantas crowd sucks. Does spo even have the authority to make that decision?
As of today We would face either Detroit or Toronto if we beat Atlanta in the first round.. Ill take that over going to Boston and then Cleveland.
Charania: Heat planning on signing Briante Weber to a 3 year deal. GREAT move in my opinion. https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/718834788539310081
We've pretty much eaten Atlanta's lunch this season is why (3-1 w/two blowouts). Boston exposed some real offensive deficiencies right before we signed JJ and before JRich blew up. It may be different and this game coming up is actually going to be a great test of our playoff chances if both teams play for the win. I personally would prefer to take on Atlanta in the first round since we've owned them and have added some new dimensions with JJ and JRich. There wouldn't be any second round homecourt anyway so the thinking is to beat who we know we can beat, then take on the Raptors in the second round to give us time to know Bosh's status. The Raptors have beaten us badly this season though, so maybe we want to meet Cleveland in round two. Either way, we don't make the ECF without Bosh.
Basically todays Boston vs Charlotte game decides whether we rest out players or not for the remaining two games. if Charlotte wins, we would need to win out to get home court. Boston wins, they clinch homecourt, we rest bodies and watch Weber play 20+ minutes. Edit, nvm. Boston has to win out to keep their seed. They lose one and we win two, we get homecourt
Yeah Ethan said basically that if the Cavs beat the Hawks tonight then all Miami need do to clinch the #3 seed is win out against the Pistons and Celtics. Easier said than done obviously but I thought that promising. I'd like to see that happen.
ESPN would like to randomly remind Heat fans that on this day in 2003, the Miami Heat retired Michael Jordan's number. https://instagram.com/p/BED6R1Kg0MV/
We live in a age of instant overraction, knee jerkin and latest-is-greatest. With that being said...Is Seth on the brink of the greatest 2 year run in NBA history? Assuming he get's MVP, they win Finals and he gets Finals MVP... 2 MVPS 2 Championships 2 Finals MVPs 3 Point record (by a landslide) Greatest NBA Record Thrown in an Olympic Gold Medal for good measure...and the questions stands, has anybody had a better 2 year run?
