There is another way to look at this filling out the roster with cheap veterans as unimpressive as they may be .They are at least veterans who are not babes in the woods like the UDFAs we usually bring in as camp bodies. There can be at least some semblance of fruitful practices without having to have lose time explaining basic things to the rookies many who may not last long. Thats what the Patriots do. After the draft there will be UDFA s signed but they will have to beat out those underwhelming veterans to stick.
This is possible, but at the same time, if we get lucky I can see us having a surprisingly good season next year. If the following scenarios come true... 1) We address CB with a high pick in the draft, he comes in and immediately becomes at least an average number 2. 2) Our newly aquired FA's (Maxwell, Alonso and Williams) get back to playing the way they did 2 years ago. 3) This coaching staff is that much better then the last few and manage to really put players in the best position to succeed. ...we may break our first winning season since 2008. This might seem improbable, but hey, we may be due for some luck.
The culprits are his pass blocking, pass catching and fumbling issues. All three of those contributed to why he wasn't playing last year when Jamaal went down. He has other abilities but he just didn't fit into the Chiefs system very well. and this is the guy the Dolphins want to trade for. OMG what a horrible off season.
