This would completely change the defense if he can come back in 2013 or even very close to it. That would be a huge upgrade for the LB position

It's nice to hear he's doing good, especially speed and agility, it is certainly better than not doing good, but it's too early even to say it's too early, this is the 1st time I remember us, or any team really, being back at camp prior to the draft.

He's really the Wild Card in this years defense, mostly because LB corp is the most questionable unit on that side of the ball

i just want to see him do it on the field against real competition, if alonso can get back to his 2013 self, our defense could be really something this year.

Just hope he stays healthy. This defense needs all the help it can get.

His play on the field speaks for itself. All he needs to do is stay healthy, which is a fairly tall order for him. If he can, there should be a pretty major improvement on the defense.

    One day at a time!!!

Seriously....do you even know what you're pissed about? Alonso is excellent with the pads on. He had an injury, it didn't heal good enough which set him back again. Then he was put in the wrong scheme.

If he doesn't pan out, it will be because of injury not level of play.

Did he steal your wallet or something?

No, its typical this time of the year for reports to come out stating player x and y look great in camp so far. Doesn't mean much to me cuz lots of guys look great in shorts, its when the pads come on when you get a better idea.

I hope he stays healthy and can make it through camp.

Just because I may not like a majority of what this team does, doesn't mean that I don't hope it all works out. Like every year.

Suh up front Jones at S, all we've really needed was a playmaker at the LB level some decent Corner play and we are a completely different team on defense. Thats a big IF but if Kiko can give us something then we could really be a different ball club.

Linebacker? Really? Have you met our secondary outside of Reshad Jones? I don't think the coaches have yet either, so don't feel bad if you haven't.

especially with the new chop block rule, suh won't be getting cut every play like last year.

I'm hopeful Kiko will return to form, but we still have misi at SAM. Can Alonso focus on his responsibilities & cover for our weak link LB?

I think so, think of it like this, jelani had bad mike play all last season..maybe there is a correlation.

Think he'll be back to 2013 form. He's young enough and far away removed from the initial injury

It might be one of the best 1st picks ever. The Dolphins received Alonso and Byron Maxwell from the Eagles and got a guy who most consider a top 5 prospect. If Alonso OR Maxwell play up to their former selves, this would be a steal. Considering they would have taken Turnstil with the 8th pick anyway had they not moved down, all the haters can STFU about that trade. IMO of course.

    Agreed.

By the way your signature pic I find fascinating. Looks like back of the endzone catches were quite hazardous.
