I loved the draft. Laremy is an all-world LT BR gaves us a B- WF a C+ ESPN a B+ I think I saw DN Gave it a B Heres a funny breakdown, and also made a really good point. Laremy is not a bad guy, he was just the dumb one to get caught doing what 99% of all the other draftees do too http://brobible.com/sports/article/2016-nfl-draft-team-grades-analysis/8/ gave it a B Id give an A. LAremy alone is worth 6 busts
I'd like to see an article where they insinuate we traded up for Jack misses on him and then went with howard. Only thing I've seen is that we were trying to move up for him but the price was to steep so we didn't.
I actually ran across the article from muami Herald where it says we attempted to trade up for Jack but Ravens wanted our 3rd round pick so we stayed put until a few spots later when we traded up from 42 to 38 to Howard a targeted player at a need position.

Where did you get "2nd best receiver" from? From what I read, the only time "2nd" was mentioned was when it was reported that they had a 2nd round grade on him. Abramson stated that they had him as the 5th best overall WR, but with the best hands and catch radius in the draft. Link - http://dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachp...s-trade-up-to-draft-rutgers-wr-leonte-carroo/ IF he is as good as Grier and Gase think he will be, he's well worth the extra picks it took to take him and he should be starting opposite Parker.
I also heard it somewhere that Carroo was dolphins 2nd rated receiver. I'm thinking it was Ross that said it which a lot of what comes out of his mouth makes no sense but I definitely heard that too.
The tape on the kid looks really good. he seems powerful and takes the ball out of the air with strength. Honestly he reminds me of Matthews.
If your going to use the value chart to discredit our draft, then you should use the same chart to point put just how much of a ****ing steal laremy tunsil was. Being conservative, tunsil should have gone #6 at the latest, #3 possibly. Before the titans traded out he was going #1. How many fake points did we "steal" off the precious chart??? And we did it because finally our front office has the balls to take a chance on elite talent.
That's exactly what I was saying watching his tape, he actually has traits of both Matthews and Landry imo, I really like him, but I didn't like how much they gave up for him, he cost two 3rds, a 4th and a 6th. He has to turn into a very good WR to be worth the price, I think he can, but there isn't much wiggle room. That actually goes for all the first 4 picks this year, 8 draft picks spent on those 4 guys; with Tunsil it's all about staying clean, which may not even be an issue with him anymore, but only people who smoke it on a regular basis will use a gasmask, but as I said, it may be(hope hope) behind him. Howard has to become a good starting CB to be worth a high 2nd and a high 4th. Drake has to become a dangerous 3rd down RB/returner to be worth a high 3rd. Proof will be in the pudding, they were pretty ballsy, gotta give it to them for that, they'll either look like geniuses or look for new jobs, lol.
I wasn't listening to the Mike Francessa show for a bit today. He had Jets GM, Mike Maccagnan on and he said that the Jets were trying to make a trade with us so they could go ahead of us and take Tunsil. It never got worked out. We wanted Tunsil, especially at 13. FYI.
Not really a fan of the value chart...it basically means nothing. Not every pick in every draft is equal in value and sometimes its better to grab the guy you believe in while losing a few points. Our first round pick has #1 talent...if you were to insert the value of pick #1 instead of #13 how would it look.
Exactly! Just because someone is the 8th pick it doesn't mean their point value is automatically less than the guy picked before him. If the number 7 team reached for a player because of positional Value or need then they didn't get value for the pick. That's why you stick to your board and player rankings. While many of our fans got upset about the trade for Howard for a fourth rounder. If Miami's scouting thinks he's the 30th best player in this draft then it's a major steal. Of of course all of this will be settled on the field over the next 2-4 seasons.
Scout turned rookie GM. Tannenbaum certainly isn't the one to hold back giving up future picks and doing the opposite of building a franchise. We act and traded like each one of the guys is going to be an impact NFL player and got hosed. Next year should have have been a boon to depth with comp picks but we've already tapped the well dry for a 3rd receiver.... sigh
We're likely to start 3 WR most of the time, so if Carroo is on the field and productive as a part of the regular offense, are those wasted picks?
