NOTE: Draft classes are ranked from best to worst within the division. 1) Miami Dolphins 2) Buffalo Bills 3) New York Jets 4) New England Patriots The Dolphins also upgraded the offense with the additions of Kenyan Drake and Leonte Carroo on Day 2. Drake, in particular, is a dynamic playmaker with potential to create explosive gains as a runner-receiver out of the backfield. Jakeem Grant is an electrifying return man with a spectacular combination of speed and open-field running skills. He could emerge as a difference maker for the Dolphins in the return game. GRADE: A- Aside from Tunsil which they ranked a COMPLETE Steal and possibly the best pick in the draft, they gave us the sleeper pick as well in Thomas Duarte, TE, UCLA. Duarte fits the mold as a sleek pass-catching tight end with polished routes and exceptional ball skills. He is an ideal TE2 in the red zone and his pass-catching prowess could remind Dolphins fans of the work Charles Clay put in during his time in Miami. While I have some concerns about a few of our picks it's comforting that a Major NFL source finds that were doing some things correctly now. Maybe this will be the turning of the Franchise we have all been waiting for! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...es-laremy-tunsil-well-worth-risk-for-dolphins
I've seen it not ranked 1st. It really doesn't matter who ranks it where as the experts are very seldom correct. We won't know the results for 3 years.
While I actually think this was a good draft for the Dolphins, other than the fact I was hoping they would draft a LB in the early part of the draft. I agree with those who state we won't know how good or bad this draft was for another three years. It should be noted that NFL.com said after the 2013 draft that the Dolphins had one of the top drafts that year. Three years later we have learned that it was actually one of the worst drafts in Dolphin history.
I actually don't agree. http://espn.go.com/blog/miami-dolphins/post/_/id/4407/revisiting-dolphins-2013-draft-class
I think the Tunsil pick polarized the $hit out of the NFL media. Grades in spades, fall mostly early May... There once was a man from Kentucky. His draft grades were often quite phucky. He gave us an A, So what do you say We have the queen knight him Sir Bucky...
Two questions: 1. Where is that footage of Bill Belichick from? 2. Who gave you that rare SICK circa '08 Cancun footage?
So True! I love how immediately following the draft the NFL media ragged Miami for such a risky pick... giving out C+ and B- grades on the Tunsil selection... We all know that if San Diego would have taken him, the media would have been singing their praises for getting the highest graded player in the draft at 3 without making a move. I'm happy the general opinion has come full circle now at least.... BPA on almost everyones board coming into the night and he fits into a position of need
