I had to leave when the Raptors went on a run to start the 3rd quarter. I couldn't take it and I don't trust this Heat team right now. Wade is pure magic but everyone else is letting him down. Deng and Johnson really need to step it up for game 5.
and of course..how can I forget?
Steph Curry, all-time OT record (Playoffs or reg. season) 17 pts.!!!! Just as you thought that the Cavs had a chance.....Steph comes on in a game he was on a mins. restriction....good lord.
Steph couldnt carry Dwades jock strap. Let someone put a hard screen on steph and let the big boys play basketball.
Curry 40 points and nearly a triple double on limited minutes? This creature is not human. He is not of us.
Limited? He played 36 minutes! Which seems insane to me. I know they want the win - but holy crap, the franchise is resting on that dude's knee and you play him that many minutes in his first game back? They're lucky he's a cyborg sent from another planet in another solar system that was finely crafted to destroy the sport of basketball.
Thats not limited minutes lol he didnt start, he still playwd starter minutes and his avg minutes per game. Anyways, im reading to expect a Vince Carter first return to Toronto environment in Game 5 for Wade, all because of the anthem scandal.
In addition to shooting a reasonable percentage from 3, the offense needs to run through Dragic most of the time. We just don't move the ball enough, but when Dragic does all that dribble probing the rest of the team keeps moving some. When we go iso with Wade or Johnson the rest of the team turns into spectators. And Wade in particular excels at finding the open guy, but everybody outside of UD (and Whiteside when he was there), either don't make the cuts or can't catch it when they do. And back to the threes, we need Richardson, Johnson and Deng to find the range again.
Cavs just can't play enough defense to hang with Golden State. Their offense is good enough right now that they can score at crazy rates and the East just doesn't have any teams with an offense strong enough to make them hurt on the defensive end (not trolling MIA - I just think CLE is a bad matchup for them). Golden State will laugh at the Cavs trying to just out score them.
Unanimous MVP huh.. Thats got to sting Lebrons ego. You can officially say it, theres a new king in the NBA.
Didn't those idiot Toronto fans learn anything when they pissed off Paul Pierce? It's not a good idea to anger hall of fame players.
CLE is not a bad matchup for Miami if they were at full strength. With Whiteside, Miami will give Cleveland plenty to handle. Cavs win the series because they are BETTER. Not on matchups. As for Offense...I know what it looks like now...but look at what Miami did after the ASB. They were Dub like at home.
With Bosh and Whiteside, I think we would beat the Cavs pretty handily. Defense is significantly better, and we were extremely efficient on offense WITHOUT Bosh. Adding one of the most efficient midrange shooters, and one of our best 3 pt shooters, and best passers back into the mix could only help. Even without Bosh, I think we would have a pretty good chance of beating the Cavs in a seven games series. Whiteside would hammer them in the paint, especially if we went back to our post ASB rotations. We just need our shooters to find the range again. I'm really not sure where our 3 pt shooting has gone, but it sure was nice to see it for 25 games or so. I can only hope Joe Johnson, Deng, and Richardson get back into rhythm, otherwise we are in for a LONG, but short series against Cleveland. If we make it past Tor, that is.
I think Cleveland is playing well enough to beat GS if they get hot shooting for 3 or 4 games in a seven game series they can win that. I think people are underestimating them, they have a legit lineup with everyone healthy and their role players are playing well. I think they are head and shoulders above anyone in the East right now and they can beat anyone in the West on a given night. I'd obviously favor a healthy GS lineup but thats going to be a really good series and I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland won it. The Cavs have been shooting lights out for 8 games in a row, thats more of a trend than a fluke occurrence. Miami needs to get by Toronto first
you know they have a mental block vs. the Cavs. Two of those games were coin tosses that went the Cavs way. There is very little by way of a "skill" to win close games. it's about execution..meaning the most important muscle is the brain. Hawks consistently go brain dead vs. the Cavs for whatever reason.
I'm the biggest homer, I have the Heat winning it all muahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhaha
Yeah it's a super bad matchup for them. I'll try to find the article but for some reason Tristan Thompson just SHUTS DOWN Paul Milsap. It's odd. And...I feel like if I flipped the bolded part to be about Dwyane Wade y'all would kick me out of here.
Whoa - did Dragic throw a punch? http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-b...ory-joseph-in-heat-raps-game-4-201403725.html
Tomorrow I want to see Dragic in full destroy mode, like in the Game 7 of the Charlotte series or Game 1 of this series. Feels like the right time.
So...you are saying the Cavs (and LeBron) are coin flips in close games but Wade isn't? I'm totally cool with saying Wade is a closer who gives an advantage in close games...but you can't say he is and LeBron isn't.
I don't think he was trying to punch him. It does appear that Corey Joseph tried to kick and/or trip Wade, though.
