I don't know, but man, I really hope VJ can get the best out of them. Using them correctly in his scheme and using guys like M. Williams correctly, could be great for the D.. Psyched to see what they can do.

    Neville Hewitt supports this statement.

I'd prefer to have good football players at linebacker, myself.

I would say this team is filled with guys who are pretty good athletes.

Dolphins Only Have 2 Good Athletes At Linebacker
(1 in starter Alonso & 1 who should start in Hewitt)

    - is the more appropriate statement imo.

I'm very happy with our starting three but I think the linebacker position is awfully thin depth wise. If we take more than one injury to this unit it will go from good to poor relatively quickly. Lb has to be a priority next yr

Here's a coach that is looking at how to use the current personnel in a scheme that fits them. Wasn't everyone's pissing and moaning about how the current personnel didn't fit the schemes we were running?

I really like vigil and Hewitt. I think they got great experience last year as rookies. Excited to see what they can do special teams and in depth situations for us.

If Kiko can't stay healthy or can't play longterm we have a big problem at the position. I do think it is a priority for next year. Seems like we concentrated on fixing the offense this year in the draft, next year I'd think we spend a high draft pick on a LB. Myles Jack man....would have been very nice....

It's really not hard to find a very good LB in the upper-middle of the first round and beyond. I'm not going to freak out about long term depth. Not every position can be mended in one offseason. I think the FO has done a good job rebuilding a serious mess and next year if we need to look at LB in the draft we will.

You have to be a very good athlete to get to the NFL. The problem for the Dolphins over the last six years is they had good athletes, but they didn't have enough good football players.

I still see LB as the biggest trouble spot on this team, followed by the secondary. It is going to takes at least another off season or possibly two, to upgrade these areas to the the degree the Dolphins will have an effective enough defense to be a legitimate playoff contender.

For some reason, I feel like I could trust Joseph when he said he has these players in place. It seems like really knows what he is doing despite the previous years coaches saying the same thing.

What are the chances Jelani, misi & Alonso each play 16 games this season? Heck, 15, 14, 13 etc. If we had seasoned ownership, this LB neglect would be Tbaum's undoing.

And stop with the "we can't fix everything in 1 off-season" nonsense. Find 2 starting LBs with even a minimal amount of talent better than Jelani & misi but with no injury history and the unit gets stronger.

They stated they did not go into the draft for offense, but that was just how things fell.

Even more to the point, it would be optimal to have good/great linebackers at linebacker.
