I don't think the NBA cares who the Cavs play. The Cavs will sweep the ECF and have a healthy, fresh team against GSW. The finals will then be a 7 game ratings wet dream for the NBA.
Wade can do that....but that is not what is needed. Wade team game and ball movement. OUR game is good enough, it has been all year. We have only gotten to it for little stretches in this series. Need it in at least one of these games while we grind out the other.
The stench of Spurs failure....smells like suckling pork with brava potatoes, and the finest Campo Segovia Red.
And yes..I just had that for dinner. Taberna Giralda in Coral Gables. Highly recommended. The piglet was $170, and worth every penny.
Such a classy organization......and their two biggest media fans are Skip Bayless and Michelle Beadle. I mean...LOL.
I have nothing to base this on except faith, but I think we get it done tonight and give it our best shot Sunday Can't believe there are Heat fans that don't want to win if it means getting smoked by Cleveland. Screw that. I want to be on the same floor as the traitor. Make him come to the AAA and win a game. Make him look at the banners. We wouldn't win, but we would stand tall, unlike Detroit and Atlanta
I have no idea why San Antonio is constantly called classy with the way Pop talks to reporters. It's not funny. He's just a jerk. Ok, I mean, it's kind of funny. But he's a jerk.
I think you always want to win. I haven't seen people that don't want to win. But I can understand people being reluctant about the prospect of getting thrashed by Cleveland. I don't know that I would feel particularly better looking back on the playoffs if they survived the Toronto series and got thrashed by Cleveland, or if they went down against Toronto under this hale of injuries. Probably a little bit better about the former but in the end losing in the playoffs is losing in the playoffs, and unless you're the Colts you don't hang a banner just because you got into the conference finals. Perhaps Miami could use the ECF appearance as a chip in free agency, that would be nice. But at this point it seems like Toronto are about as hurt as we are and it's clear both teams are bloodying one another, almost feels like a coin flip which team is standing at the end. So I wonder how effective that chip would be. On the other hand, injured or not, I can't help but wonder if we could steal some games from a team that can't play defense and relies on non-Steph Curry offense for its dominance. Maybe we match up pretty well with Cleveland and if we get Whiteside and Deng back strong at some point in the series, can steal two games, that would be something to really feel good about.
Same thing as the Patriots. Belicheat and Pop treat reporters like they are kids at the adults table despite the fact that media availability is part of their jobs - jobs that they are paid millions for. You'd think they could dodge questions politely or just not be ***** but they have to be who they are. The funny thing is how actual media members make excuses for them and egg it on despite the fact that they treat their colleagues like garbage.
I think the one he lashed out about was something like "Do you wish you had gone small more" or something. I don't think that's an awful question? Dude just lost a playoff series - he's gotta be able to face some tough questions about his strategy.
A lot of these reporters deserve what they get from the coaches because they're often asking questions that are fully loaded with a smarmy narrative they intend to run with regardless of what the coach says in response to the question, with the sole purpose of the question being to fish for explicit or implicit validation of the reporter's point of view, that point of view often being total "I'm smarter than you and this is what you should've done or should be doing."
What's with all the complaints about Dragic? Seems like the Heat were searching forever for a guy like Goran Dragic at point guard. Now they have him and the fans are like this guy sucks, bring on Briante Weber.
Grass is always greener, I guess. I like Dragic personally. It just sucks that the team is decimated with injuries. If you had told me two of our best three players would be hurt during the playoffs... I would have been shocked that Wade was the healthy one.
I want to win. I stand defiant to the idea of Lebron smoking us. Even if it may happen...I refuse to admit defeat before it happens. I hope our players feel the same.
Eh, I don't think he's getting traded. I'm sure Riley loves Conley, but Conley is likely signing outright to the Spurs. Too much frustration people are looking for others to blame. Let's face the facts, we're injured, we're never in full health. Dragic has been arguably our toughest player, not sure who's been hit in the face more than him this season but he always comes back. We are fortunate Wade didn't miss 15+ games this season, he's usually good for that. Our depth is old, Joe was a good acquisition, but his age is showing. In the offseason, we'll likely re-sign Whiteside and Wade to max, and what ever else we'll have left over, should be to address the bench with younger talent that gives us instant offense.
If we lose tonight, the positives are we have gotten better and have a lot of young talented contributors that are only going to get better. Almost a 50 win season, we just have to build onto this success and we will be back to being legitimate contenders soon.
This switching we can do with this is causing TOR problems. Takes away the teeth of their offense (PnR). But this thing can only hum if Joe hit some damn open shots and, you know, box someone out...
We win this game I am gonna be pissed they didnt make this adjustment sooner. I feel like this is Miami Heat basketball again. After five games of complete ****e.
That's what happens when the ball moves and you attack. I'm sure Toronto will try and make an adjustment to the small lineup, but man did that look good. This is also what they need from McRoberts.
Anyone else see Lowry give a nut shot to Josh Richardson? It occurred right before Dragic and Carroll got into it.
I dunno but Kyle Lowry played with some damn heart tonight. I was impressed. He and DeRozan have really come on, come out swinging, and they're making Miami beat them.
Whiteside will travel to Toronto but will not play. Have to think there's a chance for potential Game 1 of ECF as I presume they go right from Toronto to Cleveland if they win
My goodness man. What a reward for putting down a Game 7 on the road. Ok great now fly straight to Cleveland and play the best team in the conference in their house.
