Link with the quote so I can interpret it.

Yes, I did google search it, and only found Elway calling him a genius, not Manning. Not saying it didn't happen, but I didn't find it.

Here is Aaron Rodgers, being even more specific, saying he owes a lot of his success because of Philbin.

You don't get any more specific than that.

Here is more of that Rodgers quote,

“I owe a lot of my success to working under him. He helped me a lot over the years with different reminders.”

"Reminders." Joe did not call plays, or work as a qb coach. He was more of a quality control guy. All of the Rodgers quotes that I have seen about Philbin are as banal as that was. I could not find even one spefic call, technique, etc... that Rodgers credited Philbin with. Just life coaching stuff.

Manning on Gase on the other hand:

“Adam is a lot like me in that he’s always thinking of how we can do something better or different — or both,” Manning said. “And he has an almost photographic memory. He can recall a defensive scheme we saw from eight games back and remember our exact formation and the play called.”

"Pretty different," Manning said. "You know, Belichick prepares them for everything. But a run by Virgil Green was not on their hit chart anywhere. We have some formations with three receivers and two tight ends where you had an empty set and throw and Gase said We’re just going to put Virgil back there and run it. And he really made a heck of a run."

"All week," Manning said, "[Gase] said, ‘Don’t be afraid to check to the run if you get that look.’ And when he told me we needed five yards to get in field-goal range, he was saying, ‘If you like the look for the run, check to it, and don’t think twice about it.’ Sure enough, the seas kind of parted there." Gain of 28.

Point being, Gase has different QB credentials than Philbin did. It's true that both have hall of fame former QBs saying nice things about them, but if you look at what was actually said, the difference between the two is clear.

Then it should be in print. almost every interview is dissected by multiple media outlets.

John Elway called Gase a genius. Are you positive you are not conflating the two?
