Two things. There is no way that in 2016, these guys can't have less-****ty cameras to take pictures with. Those names are ****ing awful. Shows what lengths we'll go for the almighty dollar. (Kinda wished Tootsies Cabaret were a high-bidder in one of these someday).
Most stadiums with naming rights have horrible names these days. Heck, the only reason I know so many of these financial companies exist is because of the stadiums, but the joke's on them, because I associate the name with the place, and not the company.

This is not a real photo (guess it's a model) but it is what appeared in the Herald today - and Garfinkel says the stadium remodel is right on schedule. This stadium is going to be so cool. Can't wait. And, hopefully that noise level will really be amped up!
I aint gonna lie. This is thread is the only source I check for updates on the stadium. Keep sending the photos. Love it.
I'm sure this has been asked/discussed ... How is that roof going to handle heavy rain? I presume it has some slant to it; but also I wonder where the rain water run off will be? Are they going to channel it somewhere? Or just let it run off the sides (Which could prove to be a pain for fans entering or exiting)? And, looking at the photos, it seems to be open air in those little "circle" areas going around those steeples in each corner. So, I guess rain will just pour in there (Not a lot - but it's interesting that the ramps/walk areas go right under those circle cut outs in the roof).
The canopy is a rubberized, flexible membrane, but there is supposed to be a translucent inner lip with a network of cables at each corner to stabilize the canopy shielding the stands 30 feet above the upper seating of the bowl. There is also a drainage system being put in to prevent water from pouring off the roof onto the crowd below that will have conduits to carry the water to nearby canals.
The rain can't be any worse than it was before! On my last trip down in 2007, then actually had to suspend the game for about 15 minutes due to a heavy storm. Everything was soaked, even in the concourses that were covered. There were leaks/drips from all sorts of areas.

Once the four corners are completed, the rest of it will go up rather quickly as everything else basically hangs between them. In fact, the long lengths of beams that connect the corners are already laying along the sides of the stadium waiting to be hoisted up into place.
I just noticed the marquee scoreboards around the upper bowl is gone. Are the updating that? I can't imagine a modern stadium without those.
Once the foundation (super columns in this case) is in place, and you attach the structure (corner pylons) to the foundation, steel goes up incredibly fast.

A13 for some reason the twitter pics are not loading for me so I don't know if you already posted these latest pics: @TomGarfinkel 3h That's a 476 ton piece of steel being lifted @TomGarfinkel 3h That's a tiny man @TomGarfinkel 3h That's the East endzone queen truss in place
It certainly had a distinctive look, and in Dallas was very functional, since there was a much greater need for shade than there was for a total dome and weather protection for the field. For us, I absolutely love that it could very well protect the fans and home sideline from the sun, giving something of an advantage. However, the renderings make it look ugly as hell, so I'm hoping that the finished product looks better. We'll see. With the wind and rain, I guess we'll see the effect it has on the weather on the field.

I wish they were to put seats under the scorboards on all four, there seems to be a lot of space there to add seats and noise.. ohh, maybe thats where their gonna have standing room patrons? still kinda wish they filled that up with seats.
I'm pretty sure this is what the plan is. I remember that giant PDF that was posted on here said they were going to have concessions/standing room areas under the scoreboards. If they're that loud, could be a little difficult ordering a drink! Hopefully this link will work: http://www.newmiamistadium.com/?_ga=1.111924295.2113985099.1452526513 Scroll down to the "Video, Audio and Lighting". The main picture in the gallery is the area directly under one of the scoreboards.
Jarvis Juice Landry @God_Son80 4 hours ago So many plays about to be made and replayed... ____________________ @TomGarfinkel .@God_Son80 you mean like this??? _________________ Go to http://www.newmiamistadium.com/ and play the stadium presentation vid. They added different footage of this past season like that Landry catch vs Indy and Parker's crazy jump endzone TD catch vs the Ravens.
its a pretty stadium and will be wonderful to host superbowls and world class events.. them dedicating the most important real estate inside the bowl, {the nine section, lower bowl 50 yard line}, is a joke though..a complete contradiction from moving some of the seats closer to the field..they had the right idea then sh## themselves and dropped the ball.. its so much better than it was so I cant complain to much..
One of the local writers (I think Abramson) said today that they have 250-400 workers there going around the clock to get it done, and that barring a hurricane, it will be.
