hmmm. You know..I made fun of him...but He has VASTLY improved. He is a fine backup PG. Heat however don't need a backup PG. they have too many as it stands. TJ and J-Rich may be combo guards, but they play a ton of backup PG and they also have Briante Weber who they really like. Then you have Beno Udrich who seems to have signed some hush hush agreement.
I think Udrih gave up the $90,000 knowing that the Heat allowing him to use their facilities and basically for all intents and purposes continue to be treated like a member of the team is probably worth $90,000. Is he still getting medical treatment from them? That alone probably be worth it.
Yeah it's almost annoying how well Delly has played, because I trashed the dude last year and now all the fanboys are like "SEE HE'S AWESOME" and it's like...no, he still sucked last year.
He is actually playing himself into a decent pay raise this offseason. Maybe double his league minimum salary?
Not saying I want to trade him but NY might be interested with Hornacek, under whom Dragic had his best season
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine Dragic for Calderon and Afflalo works Knicks get a kind of star who has thrived under their new coach. We get two useful players who are expiring contracts. If Bosh has to retire we'd clear over $40 million in space. Also those expiring contracts would be valuable at the deadline
Supposedly Bill Simmons thinks Boston will trade the #3 pick to Philly for Okafor. If after drafting big after big yearly, if they turn around and trade the only good one they got for the 3rd pick in a draft where there is a steep drop-off after the 2nd pick, the NBA should just strip them of their franchise. That would be moronic.
You could get him without trading Dragic. If you make that trade you are essentially giving up on 2016-2017. If you're doing that, you can just sign Whiteside to his deal, give Wade a max deal for a year, and load up on money for 2017. I'm not trading a PG of his caliber for simply a small shot at Westbrook. The only way I trade Dragic is if you know you are getting Durant, or are getting back a player just as good, and younger.
He had to be joking or smoking dope when saying that..but if the Cavs are smart..they offer him like $6mil for 2 years and call it a day. of course..his first order of business should be to sign with Rich Paul and maybe he gets $45 million for 3 years.
I think his skillset is pretty specific to this team (check his numbers w and wo LeBron), so if he gets taken out of this context he'll be exposed quite a bit - but he's a RFA and I wouldn't be shocked if some team threw a deal at him that isn't worth matching.
Reggie Miller mentioned 10 million for Dellavadova, and i was like wth is he smoking... Lol what was Daniel gibson doing without lebron again?
Frank Vogel to Orlando. Division just got tougher. Larry Bird is still out of his mind. - sent via Tapatalk -
Orlando has offensive firepower, they just need to learn defense, and Vogel is the guy to teach them. And if Howard goes back to Orlando, with Vogel being a big man oriented coach, watch out. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
Would it really be crazy for him to get 10 million a year? Well yeah, but, the NBA gives out at least 5-6 stupid crazy contracts every year. He is one big playoff game away from a huge contract, thats how dumb NBA GMs are.
is that a rumor thats going on? Havent followed up.. Didnt think Howard would want to be back where all fifty of his babymamas find him
That's such a good hire for that team, IMO. I thought Orlando would surprise some people this year. They didn't quite do that, but were better than expected slightly. They have some good young talent, though. With Vogel and another good addition or two, and they could be a playoff team.
There has been some chatter going on that Howard is considering doing a reverse Shaq, yes. Trying to rebuild his public image and all. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
I know it's the East... but this year.. Cleveland fans... there's a chance the curse might actually be over..
Ever seen the beginning of Rocky 3? Reminds me of the cavs playoffs so far. Just mowing through inferior and washed up opponents.
Haven't let myself believe it, yet. Just think Golden State is too good. So much of what the Cavs do relies on Love / Frye and I think GS finds them and gets Curry on them and then there's blood everywhere. Just so much blood.
I don't know if I've ever seen an opinion of a team flip faster than what happened to the Hawks in this playoffs. They were the DARLINGS - people gushing over Milsap, Horford, Bud - Cavs thrash em and now they're trash haha.
Atlanta is a fine team. They just turn to mush everytime they play vs. LeBron. Happened here in Miami too. The Eff. Ratings said so...and I think they might have been right. The 2nd and 3rd best team in the east played in the first round in a #3v#6 matchup. Don't know if I posted this, but East playoff teams by Efficiency profile: 1. Cavs 2. Charlotte 3. Miami 4. Atlanta 5. Boston 6. Toronto 7. Indiana 8. Detroit
You mean the raptors? I get them mixed up too myself. They're gassed. 2 OT games in a 7 game series is tough to bounce back from in 48 hours. Especially when the next opponent is coming off a weeks rest and is a superior opponent. Not to mention they are down their best big man. The cavs are doing to them what they should, but they're not exactly getting a quality test here, imo. Edit: didn't see your whole post. Atlanta is a good team. But they're not close
I think Cleveland always had a chance. LeBron is too good, and they have some other parts ranging from really good to solid. If they come to play and the western team doesn't bring their best, Cleveland could win. I still think they lose in the finals, but it was never really just a foregone conclusion that Cleveland is going to lose in the finals, no matter how much many of us want that to be true.
Cleveland is a very talented all around team if Love and Irving are healthy. We've had to wait a year for the team to be playing together and now that they have had time to play together they are a very, very good team. Far and away the best in the East talent wise. They have a legit chance to win it all this year, I think talent wise they are the 2nd best team in the NBA from top to bottom. Lebron looks very healthy, very active, he's driving to the rim with bad intentions often now and he's dominating for stretches. He looks really good right now. I don't know if there is anyone in the league that can stop him if he's healthy and active.
I think this is the best Cavaliers of all time - and in a lot of years they'd be good enough to win the title. But they are peaking at the exact same time as a 73-win monster that might be the best team ever and have a player putting up the greatest offensive season of all time. Which is the most Cleveland thing ever.
