Cleveland has a better chance this year than last. I think they take GS to 7-games. They probably lose, but I wouldn't be surprised if they win this season. LeBron has had his lightest workload in 7 years.

I think the odds are against them but I do think that Lebron, Irving and Love are very aware of the fact that this is a legacy moment for them. All of them will be looked at differently if they can knock off Golden State. For Lebron he gets back into that GOAT conversation and for Irving and Love they get a championship to validate their careers as well. They have a shot though and I'm looking forward to the Finals more than I have in ages.

If Cleveland would've been healthy they would be eyeing a back to back title....but now?? A team that won a title a year premature has become a buzzsaw.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Cavs lose the finals in 5 games. This Cavs team isn't as talented as even the Heat teams Lebron was on and they would have lost to this GSW team too in my opinion. The Cavs team looks better because the East has entirely fallen off since Lebron went back. No more Pacers, The Hawks were still strong, the Celtics early, the overall talent in the East was stronger just two years ago. Now even the really strong teams (who arent as good as those previous) are all banged up.

Notice as a Heat fan I'm trying not to be bias and admit the GSW team most likely beats us in the big 3 ERA.

They have a good a chance as any to beat whoever comes out of the west IMO. Especially rested after a sweep and the West team likely coming out of an bruising extended series.

I thought LeBron really acted like a punk in this game with his endless whining and flopping.

    That's peanuts compared to Lowry's Oscar-worthy performances.

That said, Tristan Thompson should have been ejected for that viciuos shot on LeBron. Very nearly knocked him out cold.

Golden State looks worn out. Currys injury got them out of sync. Going for 73 wins may have been a mistake - they look like a team that peaked 6 weeks ago.

OKC is playing at a very high level. Will be an exciting Finals this year.

Durant ain't coming here this summer. Don't think he's he's even going to leave OKC after this even if they lose the series.

Stop it. You have no idea whether going for 73 has anything to do with their performance tonight. Save that commentary for First Take.

Green should be suspended for that move, I don't know how he can even say with a straight face that he didn't kick Adams on purpose. Got to give Adams credit, he's gotten under his skin in this series. GS is in a must win situation, they go down 3-1 and its over. OKC is playing great, if they make it through San Antonio and GS they will have been through 2 of the best teams in recent memory just to make the Finals.

Its lazy and reactionary. GSW destroyed OKC by nearly 30 in game 2. Were they tired then?

I think the most likely scenario either way (but especially if they don't win this year) is that he takes a 1 year deal in OKC like LeBron did. The cap is going to skyrocket again in 2017, and that's when Westbrook becomes a FA. As encouraging as things look this year, even if they don't win I think he looks at what happens next year and the two of them make their decision to stay or leave then.

From a Heat POV, their move would probably then be to lock down Whiteside with as friendly a deal as they can, try and keep Deng and maybe Johnson, and give Wade his max this year on a one year deal with an understanding that he'll take less next year when FA will be insane. Of course Riley is involved, so he could always swing something crazy that none of us see coming.

I'd think any trade that happens for Miami almost certainly will involve getting rid of "Sadshow" Josh McRoberts.

I do think he deserves it, but I'd be SHOCKED if the NBA suspends Draymond.

    So, um... Go Cavs?

    http://miamiherald.typepad.com/spor...f-cavs-win-some-thoughts-notes-on-that-a.html

I don't really buy it. Stephen A. Smith does have very good NBA sources, and Miami would probably give him the best chance at his super friends team. Plus, who wouldn't rather live in Miami than Cleveland? But my only rationale for him ever coming back to Miami would have been if he just couldn't win in Cleveland and trusted that Riley (and the draw of Miami for FAs) could make it happen again. But if he wins in Cleveland, I get that he will have fulfilled his duty to the city, but why wouldn't he be able to keep winning there? He will also never get the freedom to do what he likes with his non-NBA friends in Miami either.

Ethan talked about this today and I agreed with his take that SAS probably got this from a good source but it's just more leverage/threats to the Cavs. Why would he leave after winning 1 and not enjoy basking in his moment of heroism?

I do think LeBron wants to thaw his relationship with the Heat. Ethan mentioned that LeBron and his circle didn't think the Heat would be mad about how he left, which was the second time they mad that bad calculation. But now apparently his crew have nothing but great things to say about Riley, etc.

I'm sure he wants his number retired here

I don't see how you upgrade to a flagrant 2 yet do not suspend him even a game?

It's basically a non-penalty if he isn't removed from the game at the time of the foul, or suspended for the next game.

Adam Silver, you just lost cool points on that one. How do you upgrade the penalty which basically means youre acknowledging intent but not suspend the player? Not cool Adam, not cool.

Has that ever happened before? Every time I can remember them upgrading it to a flagrant 2, it has come with a suspension.
