You definitely own that name on this site...

Remember when I revealed to the board that the Kraken in original greek mythology was female, lol...That was a fun thread. People were losing their minds. I think, FinD tried to create a loophole by saying it wasn't the Greek version, haha.

    It is silly.

Nicknames have to arise organically. Looks like "Mighty Mouse" is what has developed.

i was calling him that 5 years ago when I went to camp and did reports every day, liam neeson was out in a movie before that time where he said over and over in commercials for the movie..it originated when I was watching wake celebrate, he would do this thing where he would get real low, stalk around, hold in his breath, then explode/release all the energy he had inside..now he doesn't do the kraken unless its third down, he says it expends to much energy if he cant come off the field.

anyways, I actually told him we called him the kraken at the fence at camp..he laughed.

I recall Stoudamire being much better in Portland.

And OVs nickname being Baby Kraken, well that didnt stick since he only showed up for plays here and there. Not worthy of a nickname.

God, you're right...Look, you guys call him what you want. I'm just going to continue to call him the dream. Everyone will know.

I think he earned it in college. You know he had the most yards after the catch in all of college football last year, right? He is going to be so much fun to watch...4.2 speed with Barry Sanders wiggle, gtfo.

I think "The Dream" is pretty damn boring not to mention totally unoriginal. It's like Hakeem Olujawon was called Hakeem "The Dream" and Jakeem rhymes so meh, why not. That's phoning it in, IMO.

If you want to get all technical about it, DJ explicitly got "Release the Kraken" and the "Kraken" nick name for Cam Wake from padre31 back in 2011.

And I know for a fact that padre31 got the nick name (and phrase) from the FinsNation boys, Chris Joseph and Roger Rimada.

Joseph writes for Miami New Times and he's as funny as ever. Rimada's like me, he has a day job in finance.

I remember having a conversation about the movie, with padre I believe, or he chimed in, about liam neeson when he was saying ''RELEASE THE KRACKEN'' in the commercials.

Have no clue about those finnation boys, I really thought it was our original, maybe he mentioned that is was from some other place but I dont think so..my bad for missremembering about Padre..
