bummed. I was about to pull the trigger tonight on getting a pair of VIP ticket packages to this years draft. been consuming my every minute for the past two weeks. A few hours before they went on sale, my friend called - his wife said he has to go to his nephews christening that weekend in Michigan. some people need to get their priorities straight.

not sure why, but being at the NFL draft is on my bucket list.

Went in 2008. It was quite a bit of fun. Not sure if I would go again (that was before they changed the format), but definitely glad I went once.

sounds like they are changing where the draftees reside, moving their room to another location so they have to walk through the VIP ticket section in front of you. all for $$, but would have been damn cool.
guess have to wait and see where they hold it next year.

****ing ticks this year man.. I had to vent somewhere. I've been in Ohio and VA and they've been relentless this year because of the warm winter.

True, I was hiking up in Tennessee last month and we kept finding them on us. No idea how either.

I know right. Spring hadn't even broken yet but I pulled 2 off my granddaughter a few weeks ago after playing in the back yard. I hate those f***ing things! I enjoy seeing the deer, fox, and rabbits foraging in the back yard but I'm tempted to put up a fence just to keep the damn ticks down. She had 4 welts [swollen occipital nodes] show up on the back/side of her head from those 2 bites.

I know it's easy to get them with walking through brush and heavy bushes, but we were trying to keep on clear, wide trails while we were in the Smokies. But they kept popping up on us, especially when we were near streams. God I hate ticks. Here in Florida they're pretty much everywhere and are unavoidable.

Plant lemongrass and also keep chickens in your yard (after all you're in Florida, amirite).

Nearly burnt my house down trying to wipe out a tick infestation in the laundry room (where the dog sleeps).

I had all four of my wisdom teeth out yesterday morning, and the procedure itself wasn't too bad, but man was I in a world of discomfort all day long. Now I'm swollen up like a balloon, and I guess I will be for a few more days as well. At least its something I can only have happen once

Its been a painful week, but I went for my follow up today with the doctor, and got a clean bill of health. No dry socket and no infection. My one bottom tooth was just so badly buried that my mouth is still swollen 8 days later.

I had a wisdom tooth removed a month ago because it became infected. The immediate aftermath was a little painful, but by the next day I was fine. I was nervous because I had tickets for Springsteen the following day so I was concerned I'd be in a lot of pain. Luckily I was perfectly fine. Tremendous show too.

I did read up on dry sockets right after the surgery and I was scared ****less of them. Some of the stories from people who had them were excruciating to read.

The top teeth weren't so bad, because he was able to yank those out like normal. However, the bottom two were in there sideways, and the one on the left was also butting up against the next molar, so he had to do a lot of work to get them out. Each spot was swollen up larger than a golf ball at one point, and hurt non stop. Nine days later, and they're still swollen and it hurts, but not anything like last week.

So yea, I'm a bit glad I no longer live at my old place in Louisiana. I'd be under water, and likely not had flood insurance (about a year before selling they zoned me into a flood zone, making insurance a requirement because of my mortgage, but with a survey and other paperwork I got my zone amended back to what it was when I bought it, but I had moved by the time that outcome came).

Glad you got out when you did. My cousins house is currently underwater, and his wife's car was washed away. Looks like they lost everything, unfortunately, but they thankfully made it out safe.

So my soon-to-be ex wife just called me on the way home from work (she's a nurse manager), frantically informing me that her car is losing power and that she can't get it over 25 mph. She's like 40 miles from home just so you know. She then says that she's going down a hill and fears she won't make it up the next one. So I say, "Well, at least now you know what it'd be like to ride a bike to work". Wrong reply!

Their white cheddar grooves are amazing. One of my absolute favorite snacks. Sadly, they also strongly disagree with my blood sugar even more than they "should" (I'm diabetic, and have to count carbs) and I've had to give them up.
