Tweet the devs constantly about it. The progress of the reno's weren't in last year, no news about this year yet either.

These photos are awesome. So pumped. New stadium. New coach. Hopefully the beginning of a brand new era.

All the latest concept drawings showing a solid roof. I thought it was going to be glazed.

Solid white over the seats, think there is a portion that is at least translucent if not clear closer to the field to allow sunlight to hit all the grass.

    Man...I just realized something.

That is going to be an amazing place to see a concert now. Ive only been to the stadium one for a show...the 1991 New Years Eve Guns and Roses show. Honestly cant remember how it sounded...but I did go to Gillette Stadium few years back for Buffett and frankly it sucked.

With the roof on...and those 4 massive HD screens....can imagine they are gonna rock that place. Maybe it will live up to its rumored new possible name..."Hard Rock Stadium"

thats the sweetest big screen set up in the game...all four sides..players and fans will be glued...just wish we put seats underneath all of them like earlier picture depicted..don't like that empty space.

goodness the possibilities with that stadium being named hard rock stadium, the artists that they could bring in there and advertise..perfect place to watch big time concerts..

he'll make his money back very quickly..

I'm pretty sure sports bars will be located under the screens.

they still have something like 15 years left on the cane's lease. As a canes and dolphins fan, i can say i hope they don't re-up. they need to build their own, somewhere.

It has been part of the plan since the beginning. At least as early as I can remember in the process. You now have an option to grab concessions and still be in the stadium. Better than having all of them outside. Because of the TV's I am sure they didn't want people blocking them so that is why there are no seats in the corners. Plus, it forces more people to buy seats along the sidelines, which brings people and sound closer to the field.

what I'm saying is the early drafts of the stadium had rows of seats under those screens, not open..hate those big gaping holes that will be there under the screens.

I think it won't be much of a noticable thing at all once the roof is on.

i disagree..weve already removed plenty of seats, we should be getting as many rows of seats in the building as possible..maybe it will be a later on down the line project.

stop at the video at exactly 12 seconds..those will be four unnecessary gaping holes that could be perfect for prime seating and more crowd noise.

Or once you have the corners full of aqua and orange bars, tables, and fans.

    Disagree.

At Coors Field in Denver, they ripped out the seats in right field, and replaced them with a rooftop bar area. There are like 3 bars up there, concessions, cabanas, tv's and it is all standing room only. That area of the stadium is probably the most packed and energized part of the stadium every single night. The University of Colorado just updated their stadium, and closed in one corner of the horseshoe. On top of the new football facility is a rooftop beer garden. Tickets have sold out each season its been open, constantly full of people who are always some of the most engaged people in the building.

Just because the corners are non-traditional doesn't mean they are bad. I am sure the design was done this way on purpose and that there are multiple very good reasons for doing it. Give it a chance during a full game before automatically deciding you hate it.

Bars under the screens were always the original idea!!! The main reason I wanted the seats in the one row of seats in each corner and have yur own personal bar right behind you!!

Anyone have any idea why some parts of the trusses are not painted white? Seems to be random that there are sections that are white already and then others that are black.

turning a whole section in the lower bowl into a spread out casual dining type section with tvs and recliners was always the idea, doesnt mean it was the right one imo.

cool, put as many roof top bars in as you want.i would prefer a more closed in type feel in these four areas that dont involve the roof, I think there is a lot of wasted space for real seats..all good just thinking out loud, im grateful for the changes..

They won't paint in areas that need to be welded or bolted together. They will paint those after installation. As far as why some are black, it is probably the color of the primer/sealant under the white paint.

Agreed. I especially don't like the middle lower section being a living room deal.

Interesting that the article you linked indicated this was being phased in over three seasons. I suppose I did not pay much attention to it. But I always assumed it was two years ...

What will be taking place next off-season, I wonder?

its just a whacked idea the living room thing..only in miami...a complete contradiction..they preached how they want to make it louder and they took the heart of the stadium and made it for rich folks who can plug in their devices and watch their suite tvs...in the middle of the fu$$in acton.

Yeah so did I DF and I believe that was their initial plan but circumstances dictated a delay(not the canopy):

Sun Life Stadium’s renovations to include new LED lighting

"the shade canopy is also going up this offseason, and work on the building is expected to be completed in 2017."
    http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/nfl/miami-dolphins/article53885680.html

Sun Life canopy on schedule, but suites delayed until 2017 season

"Because of safety concerns, the canopy and pressbox elevators, plus new video boards, will be completed in time for the 2016 season, but renovations in the suites won’t happen until the 2017 season. The Dolphins originally hoped to have all the work done in time for next season."

Why? Wouldn't it be better for everyone if they can work out the kinks and get adjusted with a preseason run through?
