yep, the supporting cast was lights out when Curry was struggling but GS got nothing from the rest of the team tonight. GS is going to be favorites to win at home obviously but they've given the Cavs a one game shot at a title and you don't want to do that with a team that has the best player in the league in Lebron.
Klay Thompson walking out before the game is over. No class. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
This is why the NBA has that "rigged" reputation. Cavs ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, without a DOUBT deserved to win. But the Refs did target Curry with some BS, and that reach in that was clean on Kyrie was gonna be a uncontested layup to cut it to 6 or 7 with plenty of time left. The whistles were.....timely. So, the middle came in. Had Golden State finished it tonight with all my bets coming in: I get $2,150 or so...Had they just won by 1 point, I get $1,955 or so.. Now....I get $210 or so, if Cavs win. I get $245 or so if Dubs win. So it's basically 2 units. I am betting them both on something.
BTW, Udonis Haslem was suspended for game 2 in the 1st round of the 06' playoffs for throwing his mouth piece. So Stephen Curry should be suspended, because NBA Officiating is always consistent.
Well, I was yay close to a 5 figure game...but at least we have Sunday. But yea...Lebron is still the best player on the planet. And it's really not even close Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wouldn't be shocked or surprised if the Cavaliers win Sunday in Oakland, make history, I'm rooting for the Warriors and make there own history. Gotta defend Lebron he's hungry and feels it.
Tim Legler now stating the obvious. Cavs are holding cutters to disrupt the Dubs offense. It is always called in the regular season, it has not been called the last 3 games. RIGHT ON CUE..Steve Kerr complains about? Clutching and grabbing cutters that disrupt the Dubs offense.
The Warriors pissed away Game 5 and now Cleveland has real momentum going into Game 7. I feel like the league is WILLING the Cavs to make history and LeBron has definitely put the team on his back, GSW seems to not have an answer for him. In a 1 game series now, the best player on the court usually can carry his team to victory, and as it looks now, that best player belongs to Cleveland. They may actually do it. Golden State has been really uneven going back to OKC, they look awesome, then they look like a disheveled mess of a team other games. They have seldom looked like the team that steamrolled through the regular season. Physicality seems to really bother them.
Cavs didn't sweep the Raptors who managed to steal 2 games but... Cavs healthy-check, Cavs fresh-check, Cavs take Dubs to 7 games-check... I predicted this a month ago. I've watched the NBA long enough to know it IS RIGGED!
And the officials then need to watch for the Dubs moving screens and holding onto the guy they screen. It's the wild west; anything goes and the officials enforce rules too selectively.
Exactly. But let's be honest...the officiating has been laughable on both sides all series. Phantom call on Curry, phantom call on Love. They suck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wow, Ayesha Curry's outburst are adding up..she is trying to make it to Miko status. Rigged? Dumb b-tch. Smh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nah. Not even close. And this sort of thing will only be more of an issue as social media apps will only grow and grow.
The refs might cue in on it but Kerr shouldn't be blaming the refs, GS has had a ton of decent shots that they are missing. Also on defense they are letting guys get to the rim almost at will. Oh and his front court let Tristan Thompson look like Shaq Jr. out there. Honestly, if LeBron plays like he has the last two games I think the Cavs pull off a historic upset. He played one of the best games I've ever seen last night. He dominated on defense he was up and down the court and doing whatever he wanted on offense. If Igudala isn't out there slowing him down the Cavs have a legit shot on Sunday.
I think you have to put some of this of Curry tho - dude was in major foul trouble and was still reaching on almost every play and trying to take charges out by the 3-point line. He sort of forced them to make some calls - and honestly they could've gotten him for 1-2 more earlier. The series had been called SUPER loose before this, too. Cavs were shooting an insane % of their shots at the rim and their FTA% had plummeted from the regular season. So yes, they were grabbing and pulling, but GS was getting PLENTY of favorable calls, too. And the Cavs were victims of just as many calls this game - fouls were about even. Cavs had 3-4 guys get in foul trouble super early. Hard to argue the whistles were one way. But GS and SportsCenter are already running with it so Game 7 the refs will swallow their whistles. And that hurts the Cavs who rely more on getting to the rim than GS.
Harrison Barnes is a combined 2-22 from the field in games 5 & 6. Why was he shooting so much in the first quarter??? Lue outcoached Kerr.
Yeah but the refs had some horrid calls on both sides. The reach they called on Shumpert early on was cleaner then Curry's reach on Kyrie. The reach on Kyrie, Curry grabs the jersey. Shumperts play was flat out clean I thought.
I'm still blown away that Curry was reaching and flopping so much when he had 4 and 5 fouls. Reminds me of Green and the groin stuff. They get on the edge and then dare the refs/NBA to make the call.
Um...I think Curry aimed his mouthguard at that fan. I didn't last night, but... https://vine.co/v/il52wZ9brm1
He didn't. it hit the floor next to Joey Crawford, although it was pretty clear that Udonis was throwing at Crawford.
If Curry did that in a first round game, hes likely suspended. Not for g7 in Finals though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
Yeah no chance he gets suspended - but that was a pretty epic hissy fit. Came right after that LeBron block, too. Haven't seen someone melt down that bad since...well, I guess Ayesha Curry on twitter last night.
Lebron Finals MVP regardless of how Game 7 plays out? I think barring some kind of 10 pt dumpster fire type game he gets the Finals MVP. No one on GS deserves it.
If the Cavs win g7, what LeBron has done will go down as one of the greatest accomplishments in world history. Guy has basically built an organization single-handedly in the worst market ever. GM, player, and coach. He has learned from the best. He's basically a mix of Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and Pat Riley, all in one.
My favorite thing about Game 7 is that on one hand - if the Cleveland Sports Curse was ever going to be broken - LeBron returning to CLE to beat the 73=9 Warriors w the first unanimous MVP after being down 3-1 seems like the kind of way it would happen. But also - this feels like the most epic set-up for Cleveland heartbreak, ever. The Drive, The Shot, The Fumble - we're gonna see "The 3" or "The Comeback" Sunday, right?
The most likely name is "The Warriors at home in a series where the home team historically wins Game 7."
Yes..and think about it....Kevin Love is as useless as Male nipples in this series...so putting fouls on him actually helps the Cavs. Mind Blown? (BTW, when he got two early fouls, I was thinking "Well, this is not good for Golden State...")
well, there it is...the most whistle happy Ref in the league is doing game 7, he is also a heavy home favoring ref...with the new complaints by Kerr.....is this a nod to the Dubs? Will say this..this guy used to rig NBA games, and he did in fact say that once Draymond got suspended, that the NBA did it to extend the series and that there would be a game 7 "guaranteed". If the NBA wants to shed their WWE reputation, they should stop making it easy for the Tin Foil Hat crowd.
Didn't think I'd get a "well, actually" on "this series is setting up for Cleveland fans to feel the absolute maximum amount of pain possible" but here we are.
I don't think so..you said it yourself...look at what they are up against exactly. They are playing with house money. Beating a team with the best record ever, with the greatest home court advantage in the league who has not lost 3 games in a row in god knows how long, coming back from 3-1 to win the NBA finals? Will their be disappointment? Of course. But for fuksake we can't expect them to pull this off.
