I'm not bitter or angry. Go back and see what I posted right after the game. There are a few people who are, but that doesn't represent the bulk of us. Once again, you ignore what's really happening to try and push your agenda.

If LeBron is really Interested in History and going down as a Basketball God, He needs to go to Philly and take a 10 Win Team to a Championship and than He will Be one and I will really be Happy since I'm a Sixers Fan.

Maybe being bitter is silly but I also see no reason to root for LeBron or the City of Cleveland.

Prior to 2010 I never cared about either of them winning and I'm damn sure not going to start now.

Congrats, Fin-O. Very happy for you, PhilNomina and Pete, but that's it. Not happy for Lebron or Cleveland. Opinions are like eyeballs so here's mine. Dubs chocked. 3-1 lead and had no killer instinct to put them away. Maybe they got too comfortable. Maybe they believed their own hype. Would rather believe that GS choked rather than Lebron brought his team back from the brink. Again, my opinion.

Am going to hate now that Lebron thinks he proved Riley wrong by creating a team that won a championship when GS really chocked at home. Again, my opinion. Perception is reality, I guess. Congrats you guys here.

The likelihood is that we have both. But of course, you are gonna mention the farthest, most extreme and worst possibility.

Hey, LeBron could retire. he can break his leg in a boating accident. I can win the powerball. Fin-O might decide to have a sex change operation.

Still can't account for the biggest difference and that is the way the way the game is played and the rules by which the game is played. MJ would average 40 in this era. Lightwork. And that's why I'm dismissing the stats.

Is Stephen A. already going out and saying that LeBron's most likely destinations this summer are Miami and Los Angeles?

I saw a tweet to that effect but I don't know if it was a joke, or an old statement, or what.

I don't even want to hear it.

Complete waste of time to even contemplate. Why would he leave now without basking in at least a season of being the ultimate hero? He never has to win again there. No more pressure. If he goes somewhere else it ratchets up a thousand notches

I don't disagree that he isn't leaving but I don't think your logic fits Lebron's MO here. The least pressure situation is not how he will make his decision.

He will factor in legacy and the chance to win both now and long term.

LeBron is going to base his decision on what Nike recommends. These guys are giving him a billion dollars, and their interests are highly aligned.

Then logically he should stay. Kyrie is a worthy #2 even with his defensive liability and Love can always be traded for something, if not a star. He already imposed his will on that dumpster fire of an organization, why would he start over?

And coming back here makes no sense. Other than Wade/Bosh/Haslem he doesn't know any of these players and Bosh and Haslem both might be gone.

I just see no logical or emotional reason for him to leave

And vice versa...LeBron would wipe the floor with some of those puny front lines of the early 90's.

    Can't account for it?

I can. The "Game" is played better today. More Skilled. better shooting. Bigger, more athletic players.

I do. he promised Cleveland ONE championship. ONE. he delivered. Now like a badass he can say "Hey, we good?" "Ok, now I am gonna do me."

Cleveland is all set for the next 52 years.

Great game/series by Lebron. I'm happy for him. Their big three all played well in that decisive game. I think he deserves to be in the GOAT conversation (he's in my top 3 with Jordan and Magic), but ultimately I don't believe most will have him there. I saw a poll on MSN right after the championship and only 5% had him as the GOAT. 76% had him in the top 5 or 10 (35% only in top 10). And this is when the Lebron opinions should be at their apex. Over time bringing a championship to a crappy organization won't be remembered by most as anything more than a ring and he just won't have enough of those.
I'm not happy for Cleveland and their classless, turncoat owner and fan base.

Let's say this is his thinking. Then obviously he leaves for the best situation. Where would that be (from his POV)?

LeBron has been singularly and totally focused on rings and legacy his entire career. It's why he went to Miami and why he came back to Cleveland.

But now that he has 3 rings and is entering the "Jordan" convo he's gonna be like "nah I'm gonna go hang out on the banana boat with my dudes!"

    C'mon, guys.

The only reason he would leave Cleveland IMO is to find a situation long term that enables him to rack up rings.

Maybe although I think he carried that team and some of those guys are massively overrated. Like I said I don't think he's leaving. It also wouldn't shock me if he did though.

Only one of those guys is worthy of a Big 3 discussion. Love and TT are what they are at this point. I don't think either can improve their deficiencies much.

Kyrie....maybe. He at least isn't afraid of the moment which is half the battle

Even if that's his thought process, he still would need to find a place that gives him equal or better chance to win.

That I agree with. People keep talking about San Antonio being in play for Durant. Do they have that kind of free space?

Could you imagine Lebron there under Pops?

I'm in the Lebron is unlikely to leave camp. I thought it was more possible if he hadn't won.

As for Durant, I could see GSW pursuing him now. And there were rumors that Durant was interested in going to Oakland.

Guess it depends on if you think they need a 3rd guy in a big 3. TT and Love have faults but compliment each other really well. Kyrie just put up 27 ppg on 47% shooting and 41% from 3 in the Finals. So that's fun.

Be interesting to see what they do with KLove this offseason.

What he "found" was a team that had to come back from being 1-3 down in the NBA Finals. Something that has happened once in history is no hanger to hang your hat on. and Tristan and Love....nah.

Will GS be able to put as good of a team on the court in the future? Sounds like they have a lot of FAs coming up.

This post started off correctly. But you went off the tracks. For all the reasons you stated, yes I think it's very likely he leaves Cleveland again AT SOME POINT (doesn't have to be this year, in fact I think better money is on next year) in order to opportunistically increase his legacy elsewhere.

Realistically speaking he doesn't leave Cleveland in the off season after he wins the championship for them. I'm willing to admit that.

But what happens next year when they either don't go to the Finals or they go to the Finals and they lose? The guy is going to jump ship and go wherever the wind is blowing strongest. That COULD be Miami. Or not. Who knows?

it's more likely that Golden State dominates the rest of the decade than not. The worst thing that could have happened for the NBA happened last night. Now the Dubs go to school on their deficiencies, namely defensive rebounding, and a post player...AND they will have the cap space to get those.

Wait where did my post go off the rails? I agree with you on all that! LeBron is gonna go where he has the best chance to win rings - and he just won one in Cleveland so it's hard to believe somewhere else gives him that!

They won, man. You weren't talking about miracle comebacks after the Ray Allen 3, I'm sure.

And Tristan was a huge factor in that. Go check Steph's numbers with TT on and off.
