and it's HIS OWN THING. Not Riley's or a Big 3. He is the actual STAR of this production.

Had his Cake and ate it too.

    - I'd like Horford very much. He's ideal for what Phil likes to do. He's not the best shot blocker but still a very effective rim defender and executes the fundamentals well. The biggest things with triangle big me is they can't be awkward with the ball or playing back to the basket. Horford is a good passer, sees the double teams and generally has a pretty good understanding of how teams are trying to defend him and can make the right pass. If I got him for 4 years and it cost 80m or whatever, that's not the worst thing as he's a better player then RoLo.

    - Don't want Pau at those numbers. I'd take him but not at 15M per. That's just stupid money for a player on the decline.

    - Want no part of D12. Maybe on a 1 year deal but really the dudes a chronic underachiever. I hate his career. He should have been this generations Bill Russell and just dominant in the paint defensively and the last roughly 4-5 have been a waste of time and talent.

    - I don't mind Clarkson but wouldn't commit massive dollars to him. He's good, just not that good. And he's yet to discover that there is another side of the court for when the other team has the ball and you have to defend.

    - wouldn't do anything more then a 1 year lottery ticket type deal for Gordon. Too injury prone. Nice player though.

    - Ellington and Bayless I like as complimentary pieces but depends on the years and dollars. In a year where it's being talked about that Delly could get 10m, I probably would rather keep the cap space flexible so these guys may get more years and dollars then I want for my team to commit to them.

As for the rose deal, I don't see a downside. No one should expect him to be 2011 Rose and anyone who does should be banished to Real GM. It's a 1 year deal so if he plays like poop, he's gone after next year. If he's hurt he's gone after next year. If he has a good year then you get an exciting player who you could either resign, sell high on and get an asset back for around the deadline, or let walk. Any scenario the Knicks don't send anything more then they were already going to, they gave up no picks for a change (actually got one back...so that's what that feel like lol). If he gets hurt or plays poorly, well Knicks have their pick next year and if he plays well, they may be a playoff team depending what else they add. Doesn't make them contenders, but he's better than Calderon. I'd also rather pay 1 year and 21.6m for rose then 4/92 for Conley (who I don't think they would have got) and has been plenty injury prone as well. So I like it.

Actually, yes, someone did. You said that when you said that Heat fans were knocking LeBrons game originally, which was untrue. Talk about "pushing the bar around" (it's actually moving the goalposts, which is what I accused you of doing weeks ago).

And yet with all this LeBron hate that "goes way back" you have yet to provide any evidence of this. I guess you are entitled to feel however you want about Heat fans and who they hate, but understand that continually throwing out these claims without any proof (and actually proof to the contrary) just discredits your opinion. And TBH, with other things I think you have some valid points. I just think the anti-Heat stuff is getting ridiculous.

As fro the "backhanded" comments, anything backhanded was pointed at Dan Gilbert or the organization. I think many Cavs fans themselves think the guy is a buffoon, so I don't really see the issue. The argument here was about LeBron and only LeBron. You said we should appreciate what he gave the Heat and most fans do. This debate is getting old, though. I just gave tangible evidence to support my claim against unfounded accusations. I'm not really sure what else I can do at this point.

Hey guys sorry if I'm behind but I was at a championship parade yesterday.

So D'Angelo Russell, Julius Randle, and LeBron is a start. Do we think Kobe unretires so he and LeBron can try to win a ring together in LA this year?

I thought the loitering from all those unemployed freeloaders to be disgusting. I kept waiting for the Cops to hose down those hooligans in the streets and begin to crack heads, but I forgot that Cleveland has no budget for a police force. If you all put as much effort into labor as you did into rioting in the Cleveland streets, then maybe your city wouldn't be such a **** hole.

    LOL. that was fun huh?

My favorite parts of the parade -

JR Smith getting the biggest cheer of the day (he also played the crowd the best)

The guy super excited to say congrats to Tristan Thomas

The lady who threw her gross sweaty bra at Tristan and watching he and his buddies jump out of the way like it was a bomb

The Joe Harris fat head next to me

How much it had to hurt Sec to see pictures from it

Long-term, yes. I know he could still leave, but it usually takes time to build anywhere. I don't believe Cleveland can keep a good team long-term.

The good news is, your wolves will be the hunted very soon. That's a nice nucleus with KAT, Wiggins, etc. You need to draft Buddy Buckets tonight. That's the perfect floor spacer for a slasher like Wiggins and a post guy like KAT.

So GS has some big decisions to make, right? They'd have to renounce Barnes and trade Iggy or Bogut to get KD. But if KD says no, they're gonna have to move fast on someone like Batum. And if that doesn't work...

They might be able to thread the needle and not get stuck - but Phoenix made a bunch of moves to create space for Aldridge and then got spurned last year. Love to see that happen to Golden State.

Depending on what happens with Durant, next year is just going to be insane - Cleveland, Golden State, OKC, Spurs could all be threats.

Miami could make some moves and be threats. Boston could make some moves and be threats. Clippers could make some moves and be threats.

Don't remember last time there were this many legitimate teams.

If GSW was smart they go hard after Dirk and keeping Ezeli. They need a post big and keeping a decent young rim protector should be priorities.

I'll admit it's the most excited I've been in years...maybe even since the KG, Cassel, Spreewell days. We finally have a competent coach and a legit HOF talent in KAT. I'm with you on a shooter. Murray or Hield please. Bender would be fine as well. Dunn would probably spell the end for Rubio which would bum me out a bit. Either way I trust Thibs/Layden. We've come a long way from the Khan days, lol.

I was listening to someone talk about them going hard after Dirk today on ESPN, seems like a solid move. They don't need franchise type players they could use vet like Dirk.

How bout this...they won 73 games and collapsed after being up 3-1 in the Finals. They don't "need" anything. they need to retool around the edges. Replace their backup bigs with more competent people.

Eh I guess that only works if you consider Barnes "around the edges" or just assume they pay him the $20million or whatever he's gonna get.

Because if they do that, you have Curry, Iggy, Bogut, and Livingston all hitting FA next year.

I think their offseason is a little prickly. Nothing major - but they have to get it right.

Take it from a knicks fan, don't trust layden! Dunn will go to the Celtics I think if they stay at 3. Hield is an amazing fit for you and imo the 2nd best player in the draft after Ingram (I hate Simmons game...just imo...I don't see him becoming a great player)

If you replace Barnes with Batum at 3 million less per year? what do you lose? if you replace him with Luol Deng? Do you loose anything? They have options at the position. They don't have to sweat much.

Batum would be great assuming he shoots closer to what he used to shoot. Can he guard larger 4s in the post? but he sounds super happy in Charlotte.

I don't think Deng shoots enough for what the Warriors want to do. Teams would leave him open in the corners.

And going after those guys still means you are renouncing Barnes and hoping you land one. It's still a risk.

    ??????

Luol Deng shot 42% from three in the playoffs. (5-11) from the left corner for 45.5% and (10-20) from the right corner for 50%

He is a league average from three the last 6 years in the NBA, and top 10 in the NBA from the right corner at 38%, league average from the left corner at 34.2%

Then he gives you rebounding and Defense. At the #4, the guy puts up all-star numbers.
