    :confused2:at nfl.com there is a review on the main page that has the a picture of the cleveland browns, as a main story, does anyone know why they have a number 3 on there helmet as a logo?

    just wondered?

    Yes. Must be a throwback uniform with the player's # on the helmet.

    ah...... so players all had there own numbers on there lids. Wierd. they should start putting some sort of logo on there, that brown helmet sucks. lol.

    almosts as bad as the steelers. their helmet half sucks! lol

    The biggest changes in these new-/old-look uniforms -- with brown jerseys -- involve three-inch-high player numbers on the sides of the helmet, and striped socks.

    The Browns wore numbers on the sides of their helmets from 1957-60, which is the only time they have had any markings, insignias or logos on their helmets. Otherwise, the helmets have been mostly plain orange (1952-56 and 1961-present) or plain white (1946-51).

    This is when they wore the Throwback Uniforms on Sunday, November 25 against the Houston Texans with the player number on the helmet.
